Cancelled holiday due to lack of refund
I unfortunately had to cancel my June 2020 holiday, and I still haven't gotten the refund from the company like they promised. Hotelopia responded to my review and asked for my email, but I haven't heard anything from them since then. It's been two weeks since they said they were looking into it, but nothing has happened. Their lack of communication and follow-up is really disappointing and makes them look bad. I've tried contacting them through email and phone calls multiple times, but either get disconnected or they can't help me. I had to get my credit card provider involved to try and get my money back. I highly recommend avoiding this company if you want reliable and efficient service.
Hotel booking
I just booked a hotel on this website and man, was I let down by the service. My arrival date got switched around in their system without anyone giving me a heads up. I didn't even realize until I got the confirmation email. And to make matters worse, I couldn't even cancel the booking since they already charged me. Not a good experience. Be careful if you decide to use this website for booking hotels.
Quick and easy hotel booking
I recently booked a hotel through Hotelopia and it was a breeze. We were able to check-in smoothly but unfortunately had to leave early because of an emergency, so we missed out on staying the night and having breakfast at the hotel. The hotel and Hotelopia collaborated to give us a full refund, which was awesome. It did take about 8 days to see the money back in our account, but we were satisfied with the resolution. Big thank you and a thumbs up to them for handling everything in English as well.
My experience at this hotel
This place was absolutely awful! The hotel info was completely off and the customer service was just terrible. I wouldn't ever use this platform to book a vacation again. It's so unprofessional!
Hotel booking mishap
So, I booked this hotel online for my trip to Gran Canaria, right? But when I got there, turns out they messed up and double-booked my room. They told me I had to go to another hotel four miles away and come back the next day. It was a huge pain, especially since I planned this trip five months ago. I had to call customer service and go through some back and forth, but they eventually sorted it out.
Booked single room, got a bed in an 8-person dorm. Support hung up on me. Total rip-off, never book here!
I reserved a single room online, ya know? But when I arrived, they stuck me in a dorm room with 7 other people! I called customer service, but they just straight-up hung up on me! Total rip-off, man. I am never going back there again!
Booked hotel room
I recently booked a hotel room through this website and at first, I was a bit worried because I saw some bad reviews. But turns out, Hotelopia is legit and not a scam. It did take a few days for my booking to get all set, but the hotel in New York told me they got it in their system. I think the delay might be because they're getting a ton of calls with everything going on in the world. I was stressed when I didn't get a confirmation right away, especially after seeing the negative stuff on this site. But hey, it's all good now. Just remember their offices are in England, so calling during business hours is key to get a quick response. So don't stress out like I did, everything will work out. Hope this helps someone else who might be feeling the same way.
