Hotel reservation
I attempted to reserve a hotel room for my niece's wedding using The Knot, but unfortunately, I fell for a scam by an Expedia agent who claimed to be from the hotel. They ended up charging me $1200 for only two nights! I was only able to get back half of my money when I decided to cancel the reservation. It was so unfair!
Fake leads scam
My email got used to make fake leads for photographers. I kept getting tons of emails from fake inquiries, which made me have to log in and get rid of the accounts. Even though I told customer support about it, they said there was no problem. But the fake leads just kept coming. Just a heads up, be careful of this scam.
Weddings invites
The Knot is seriously so confusing and frustrating. It's like they don't even let you check out the messages you've sent, which is the most basic thing you'd want to do. And their homepage is super misleading - everyone thought they were invited to the wedding when it was just the shower. Don't even get me started on the Amazon registry problems. And seriously, who sends texts with only 120 characters? That's just not enough room to explain everything. The Knot created more problems than it fixed. I'd say just steer clear of it, honestly.
Review about deleted negative reviews
I had a pretty bad experience with this company, and when I tried to share my honest thoughts on The Knot, they quickly removed it without even checking. I had all the proof to support what I was saying, but it looks like they only want to show the good reviews.
Wedding planning services
The Knot and Wedding Wire are a total nightmare for anyone in the wedding business. They make big promises, reel you in with the idea of getting tons of leads and bookings, but truth is, it's all a scam. The leads are phony, the traffic they talk about doesn't really exist, and their customer service is just awful. They lock you into contracts, ignore your attempts to stop auto-renewal, and make it super hard to break free once you're stuck. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of these companies.
