The wedding website we used for guests to get information and RSVP didn't meet our expectations. It was hard to use, especially on phones, and not very user-friendly. The accommodation templates linked to a booking site in the US, which was confusing for guests from other countries. I wouldn't suggest using this platform.
Catering services for wedding
I used a catering service from this company for my wedding, and I have to say I was really let down with how things turned out. The food wasn't great, and the service was not up to par - it felt unprofessional and kind of half-hearted. The staff didn't seem very invested or organized, which just made my day more stressful. I had hoped for a fantastic reception, but unfortunately, this company did not deliver. I wouldn't suggest their catering services to anyone wanting a dependable and outstanding experience.
Vendor recommendation, onboarding call, $300 loss
The vendor that The Knot recommended totally stood us up for our last onboarding call. It not only set us back $300 but also took up a lot of our time. I left a genuine review on their website, but it mysteriously disappeared because there wasn't a signed contract. It's obvious that they care more about getting paid by vendors than having real reviews. This is false advertising, and they need to be held responsible with a class action lawsuit.
Wedding vendor lead generation
I used The Knot for finding wedding vendors, but my experience wasn't great. The leads I got seemed fake or like bots because nobody ever responded when I tried to reach out. When I asked customer service for help, they basically said I had to pay more for better results. It was super frustrating and expensive, and I wouldn't suggest it to others in the wedding business.
Wedding advertising
The Knot used to be great for my business, but ever since they joined forces with WeddingWire it's all about the money. I feel like I'm just a number and a dollar sign to them now. I tried to give them a shot, but I'm done dealing with it!
Wedding planning services
I had the worst time with this company. I thought their wedding planning services would be great, but they weren't what I wanted. When I tried to cancel online, I had problems and had to call customer service for help. Even though I gave clear instructions to cancel, they not only didn't do it but also renewed my contract for another year at a higher price. Dealing with them has been a total headache, and I suggest avoiding them unless you want to deal with a legal fight for breaking the contract.
Hotel reservation cancellation
I recently had a really frustrating experience trying to cancel a hotel reservation through this company. I booked a room and ended up having to cancel just two hours later because of some shady stuff with the pricing. They told me they had a special deal for a wedding, but actually charged me more than what my AAA rate would've been by sneaking in extra fees. When I asked for my money back, they only offered me a voucher for one of their hotels, but I had to use it within the next 120 days. That didn't work for me since I didn't have any plans for another hotel stay any time soon. Even though I canceled way before the wedding, they still wouldn't give me a refund. The customer service was no help at all and the way they handled things just wasn't fair.
Wedding planning services
I had a really terrible experience with this service. None of the leads they gave me were real, even though I tried to keep my costs down and get new customers. I even had to cancel my credit card to stop all the annoying calls from them, which luckily worked after a couple of weeks. I don't think this service is good for anyone trying to find reliable leads in the wedding planning business.
Wedding planning platform
I'm really concerned about the way this wedding planning platform is running their business. The customer service and account management team have been changing without letting me know first, which has been super frustrating. I've had to keep explaining my issues to different people over and over again unnecessarily.

On top of that, the leads I've been getting from this platform aren't great. I'm getting unresponsive contacts and even spam inquiries, which is not cool when planning something as important as a wedding. And to make things worse, they won't let me cancel or get a refund, which just adds to my disappointment.

All in all, my experience with this wedding planning platform has been a letdown. I won't be using their services in the future.
Event venue review
I left a bad review for a place that hosted my mom's birthday party, but The Knot.com took it down. They tried to talk me into changing it and even asked for an invoice to prove I was there, but even after I did all that, they still got rid of it. It seems like these companies are paying for good reviews instead of earning them honestly. How else could they have such perfect ratings? The whole thing just feels fake, just like the venue itself. A person named Casey said my review would be removed. I wonder if it's because it exposed their shady behavior?
Business Support
I just wanted to tell you about my awesome experience with The Knot. The person I worked with was so friendly and really helped me figure everything out on the site. She even fixed a few mistakes I made. I couldn't be happier with the service I got!
Hotel reservation
I attempted to reserve a hotel room for my niece's wedding using The Knot, but unfortunately, I fell for a scam by an Expedia agent who claimed to be from the hotel. They ended up charging me $1200 for only two nights! I was only able to get back half of my money when I decided to cancel the reservation. It was so unfair!
Fake leads scam
My email got used to make fake leads for photographers. I kept getting tons of emails from fake inquiries, which made me have to log in and get rid of the accounts. Even though I told customer support about it, they said there was no problem. But the fake leads just kept coming. Just a heads up, be careful of this scam.
Wedding resource platform
The wedding resource platform has been super helpful for couples and vendors from day one. The people running the show really get what everyone's looking for, whether you're tying the knot or trying to book clients. The Knot is always there to help with solid info and support. Thanks a bunch, The Knot, for all your hard work and dedication over the years!
Weddings invites
The Knot is seriously so confusing and frustrating. It's like they don't even let you check out the messages you've sent, which is the most basic thing you'd want to do. And their homepage is super misleading - everyone thought they were invited to the wedding when it was just the shower. Don't even get me started on the Amazon registry problems. And seriously, who sends texts with only 120 characters? That's just not enough room to explain everything. The Knot created more problems than it fixed. I'd say just steer clear of it, honestly.
Business growth assistance
The Knot has been super important for my business growth and success. Ever since I decided to sign up back in 2016 at WPPI, it's been an awesome experience. Hilary was the one who helped me get started, and she really went above and beyond to give me advice and support to help my business stand out in a tough industry. With the wedding market being so crowded, The Knot has been a big help in making me look good, handling inquiries smoothly, and making a name for myself.
Review about deleted negative reviews
I had a pretty bad experience with this company, and when I tried to share my honest thoughts on The Knot, they quickly removed it without even checking. I had all the proof to support what I was saying, but it looks like they only want to show the good reviews.
Wedding planning services
The Knot and Wedding Wire are a total nightmare for anyone in the wedding business. They make big promises, reel you in with the idea of getting tons of leads and bookings, but truth is, it's all a scam. The leads are phony, the traffic they talk about doesn't really exist, and their customer service is just awful. They lock you into contracts, ignore your attempts to stop auto-renewal, and make it super hard to break free once you're stuck. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of these companies.
Wedding invitations
I ordered my wedding invitations and the design team was super helpful. Unfortunately, the invitations got swiped off my porch, but the company sent me replacements for free. It really shows that they care about their customers.
A User-Friendly Experience with Room for Improvement
As a client of The Knot, I have had an overall positive experience with the company. Their website is user-friendly and easy to navigate, making it simple for me to plan my wedding. The vendor search feature is particularly helpful, as it allowed me to find and connect with local vendors that fit my specific needs and budget.
I also appreciated the organization and planning tools that The Knot offers. The checklist and budget tracker were invaluable in keeping me on track and on budget throughout the planning process. Additionally, the inspiration pages and articles provided me with a wealth of ideas and inspiration for my wedding.
My only complaint would be that the company's customer service could be improved. I had a few issues with my account and it took several attempts to get in touch with someone who could assist me. However, once I did reach someone, they were able to resolve my issue promptly.
Overall, I would recommend The Knot to other couples planning their weddings. The company's website and planning tools make it easy to plan a wedding, and the vendor search feature is incredibly helpful.
