I was halfway through my morning coffee ritual when the payment failed — cue mini panic, because I use this machine every day. The rep, Bridgette, was calm and guessed it might be card protection, which made sense. Turned out to be fraud and my cards got frozen; awkward. She didn’t hound me though, waited until after the weekend to check back, super patient. Delivery itself was quick and the grinder arrived in one piece, so I’m relieved and honestly grateful. Felt looked-after, and now I can make coffee in peace.
Late-night lifesaver
I was half panicking when our flight changed and we needed two rooms last minute - total chaos. Jennifer calmly took over the phone, asked questions, and actually found clean rooms nearby; she kept checking availability and even called back twice so we didn't have to wait on hold. Honestly, that's rare - I've dealt with other companies where they shrugged and left you hanging. Her follow-through and friendly tone made a big difference, you know? Got the refund, eventually
In the end I got my money back, so I'm okay with it — barely. After an online form, a long email, and two phone calls I finally had that weird "Refund Protection" fee reversed. It shouldn't have taken so long, and honestly it made me wary of third-party bookings and Expedia for a while, even though I've had good luck with other sites before. Michael was actually really helpful and polite, found me a room and stuck with it. Not perfect — the process felt messy and they even spelled my name wrong (it's Colleen, not Colleeene) — but at least it worked out.
Quiet standout
He showed up at check-in like he'd done it a hundred times. I first noticed him behind the desk when our group arrived — I even mentioned him to my sister and later recommended him to other relatives. He handled five dozen family members by himself most of the time. Polite. Efficient. Knew the area. He kept things moving and answered every question without guessing. That was the best part. The hotel itself, though, needs work. Rooms felt dated, some things were broken. Ours smelled tired and the AC barely cooled. Floors looked like they hadn't seen a mop in a while. Not gross, but certainly worn down. I won't book this place again for a leisure stay. Still, if you need someone to smooth over a messy situation, ask for him. Small staff can make a big difference. Mixed feelings — appreciated the person, disappointed by the building.
Helpful Irene
I called this place for help and they answered immediately! The lady I spoke with, let's say her name was Irene, was really friendly and supportive. She addressed all of my questions without making me feel stupid for asking. It was like having a super cool older sister looking out for me. I'd definitely suggest keeping her contact on speed dial, no joke!
Last minute hotel room booking
Jairo/James really came through for me by finding a room for me in Radcliff, KY on such short notice. He was fast, friendly, and knew his stuff, which made everything go super smoothly. I'm really grateful for his help in getting me a place to stay. Thanks again!
Quick and sweet service
I just got off the phone with someone from the package center and man, they were awesome. Super nice, polite, and knew their stuff. They totally brightened my day with their warmth and friendliness. Ali is seriously the greatest phone rep around!
Best rates found
HotelPlanner.com really does have the best rates available. I was surprised to see that even with the discounts on the hotel's website, the prices were still lower on HotelPlanner. The website was easy to use and made it simple for me to search for and compare hotels. Booking was easy and stress-free, and I liked the detailed info about each hotel. All in all, using HotelPlanner was a great experience and I'll definitely use it again for my next trips.
Bummer reservation fail
Me and my family were so pumped for our trip and we booked a hotel through this site. But when we rolled up, they didn't even have a room ready for us! I was so frustrated, like why bother booking if they can't even save us a spot? We had to scramble last minute to find a new place to crash and it was a total nightmare. They better cough up my cash real quick.
Booking a room
The booking process was such a hassle and took forever. It literally took me five hours to actually get a reservation. One of the agents was really nice and helped me out when my payment method wasn't working, but the other three were super rude and defensive. They were convinced that the problem was on my end, not theirs, even though my bank confirmed that everything was okay on my end. And to top it off, the price of the room kept changing multiple times in just a 10-minute chat, which was so confusing and unprofessional. It was just a really bad experience overall.

The woman recommended that I reach out to the hotel directly to speak with the front desk staff, and you know what? They ended up giving me a discount since my wife is having surgery close by. Yay for discounts!
Travel voucher issue
Yeah, so I had this voucher for a hotel, right? But when I tried to use it, they said I still had to pay. I was so confused because I thought the voucher covered it all. Long story short, I ended up having to pay $590 that I wasn't expecting. I did everything they told me to with the voucher, but no luck. Such a letdown, you know?

I just used a rate comparison website to book a hotel room and it went really well. I found the best price for the hotel I wanted and I liked being able to choose a refundable rate just in case. In the past, I've had some bad experiences with third-party sites not actually booking my room when I arrived, so I was a bit worried. But this time everything worked out. I even called the hotel just to double-check and they said my reservation was all set. Overall, I'm happy with how things went with this rate comparison website.
Travel accommodation help
After a really hectic day of traveling with flights getting delayed, missing connections, and flights getting canceled, things got even more stressful when we couldn't find any hotel rooms available. He was super helpful, he found us a room, broke down all the costs involved, and even booked it for us while we were still on the road. Michael wasn't just nice and understanding, but he also showed a lot of professionalism that made us feel relaxed even with all the craziness going on.
Group reservation cancellation
I was really disappointed with the whole overbooking situation at the Sonesta Hotel. Nobody even bothered to tell the other members of my group ahead of time. When I tried to get some help, both the Hotel Planner and the Sonesta Hotel were just pointing fingers at each other. And to top it all off, no one offered any kind of compensation for the inconvenience. The representative I spoke to while planning another trip was also really rude. Needless to say, I won't be using their services again.

The website had rooms at the hotel my husband wanted to stay at, but when I called the phone center, the agent said they were all booked. So, I went back to the website and managed to book a room from the choices provided. It was smooth sailing on the website, but the call center didn't seem to know what rooms were actually available.
Patience, understanding, commitment
The folks working at this hotel were really patient and totally got what I needed. They were super dedicated to making sure I was happy the whole time I was there. They didn't just do the bare minimum - from the moment I arrived to when I left, they went out of their way to make sure I had a great stay. I'll definitely be coming back to stay here again because their customer service was top-notch.
Unauthorized Credit Card Charges
I had a pretty crappy experience with this service recently. They went ahead and charged my credit card without even asking me, plus they didn't bother mentioning the extra $7.99 per reservation fee. Like I get that businesses gotta make money, but I expect them to be upfront and keep it real with me about costs. The lack of communication and those surprise charges really got me annoyed and let down. So I decided to just cancel my reservations and went straight to booking with the hotel instead. And you know what? It was a way better experience.
