    Brought own phone, got compatible sim

    I just got a new sim card from this company for my phone and I'm super happy with it. It's been working great since I got it a month ago. I had a hard time finding a sim card that worked with my phone for both calls and internet, but Gen Mobile had me covered. Even though I saw some bad reviews, my experience has been totally positive. It seems like some people had issues because of their phones and not the sim card.

    The customer service at this company really let me down. I bought a phone from them and they gave me wrong info that made me want to return it. When I called customer service, they said I could cancel the service but had to keep the phone that was supposed to be free. It's obvious that nothing comes for free, and it feels like this company is sketchy with how they use customer info.

    Oh my gosh, I had the worst experience with this phone company. My data suddenly stopped working, and when I reached out for help, the person I chatted with was totally clueless. They didn't even know how many megabytes are in a gigabyte, like, seriously?! So then I decided to call their customer service number, and I'm still on hold - can you believe it? Gen Mobile used to be awesome, but now it's really terrible. I would definitely warn my best friends to steer clear of them. They're like the new, uncool kids on the block.

    SE Apple phone with SIM card

    I recently bought an SE Apple phone from this company, along with a SIM card. The person I spoke with told me that I could get a government phone, which sounded like a good deal. However, after paying $110 for the phone, I ran into a lot of problems. The phone number they gave me already belonged to someone else, so I had to call customer service many times to try and fix it. They said they would take care of it, but the issue kept happening. As a last try to fix things, I asked about moving my number from Metro to Gen Mobile. They told me to get a $20 SIM card, which I did right away. Sadly, even after doing everything they said, I still couldn't get a working phone number. Every time I called customer service with the number they gave me, they just hung up on me. It was super frustrating, and I tried multiple times to reach them but ended up losing $130.

    Purchase - Terrible experience

    I had a terrible experience with this company. They said they had Unlimited Talk and Text, but only gave me 5 Gigs of data. Seriously? Other companies offer Unlimited Everything, so why choose this one? And their phones are the worst! An Enrollment Agent tricked me into signing up for a government program, and I ended up having to pay for a tablet that only works on WiFi and a "Smartphone" that got cut off after 2 weeks. When I asked Customer Care for help, they were no help at all! Avoid this company and their predatory agents.

    Phone service upgrade with enhanced quality

    I recently upgraded my phone service to get better quality from a local store. But when I tried to switch my old phone number to the new service, things went south real quick. The customer service rep tried to transfer my number, and boom, my phone got cut off instantly, leaving me high and dry. I've been calling customer service over and over, but no luck. They kept telling me they'd look into it, but nothing's been fixed. I'm super annoyed and let down by the lack of help and communication from the customer service team. I'm holding out hope for a solution soon, but if not, I want my money back.

    As someone who uses this internet service provider, I have to say that my experience has been pretty disappointing. At first, everything was good for a few months, but then out of nowhere, the internet just completely stopped working. I reached out to customer service for assistance, and all they could suggest was resetting my data, which then led to my account being flagged every month for going over the limit. Even though they promised me a refund and gave me a confirmation number, I never saw a dime. It's really annoying to have to deal with a company that doesn't follow through on their promises and leaves customers with no solution in sight.

    Free phones scam

    Over the weekend, I went to Dollar General to grab some bleach, and these two folks came up to me out of nowhere, talking about free phones. They wanted my ID, scanned it, and said I could get this phone bundle. I wasn't really interested, but they kept pushing, using my granddaughter as a reason. Then they wanted an $80 fee upfront, and I got a weird feeling. So, I said I needed to read some reviews first. After checking online and seeing all the bad stuff, I left without getting scammed. It hit me that they picked me because they thought I'd fall for it. Just a heads up - stay away from those tables with the red phone deals in public places!

    I can't believe how bold this company is! They're giving out free phones to those in need to take advantage of them, it's just unacceptable. They clearly have no shame in using the less fortunate for their own benefit. As a customer, I'm so mad about their dishonesty and lack of respect for others. My friends and I are going to protest against them wherever they try to trick innocent people with their sneaky tactics.

    Bought a phone

    I bought a phone a few years back and everything was going smoothly until this summer when out of nowhere, my account was canceled! I tried to renew it, but they screwed up and sent me a SIM card that didn't work at all. It turned out they gave me a phone that was only compatible with Sprint, and I couldn't do anything about it because Sprint wouldn't unlock it. So now I'm stuck with an expensive paperweight. I wasted so much time dealing with both Gen and Sprint, and got zero help. Their customer service was terrible and they wouldn't even bother fixing their mistake. In the end, I had to cancel my account and switch to a different company. Not to mention, the service had a ton of dead zones in the middle of nowhere. Ugh, never again!

    A frustrating experience

    I am extremely disappointed in my experience with this company. Dealing with rude customer service reps and constantly having issues with my phone being hacked and shut off has been a nightmare. I have been told multiple times that my number "doesn't exist" and whenever I try to call for help, I just get hung up on. I've been a customer for years and the lack of professionalism and care from this company is just unacceptable.
