SW Vacation package to Florida
I originally booked a vacation package to Cancun but about 3 days later called SW Vacations to change it to Fl.orida. Mindy helped me and was very polite and helped me book our new vacation package. A couple of days later we added my sister to our vacation package, therefore there were some changes done. However; I was told that I would receive a call from someone at SWVacations and we were pending the confirmation from the resort in Clearwater. This was around 3/17/2021. Today is 4/5/2021 and I still have not received a call from the SRD team at SWVacations. I personally called the resort and was informed they had not yet received paperwork from SWVacations so that they could reserve our rooms. It has been too long and I still do not have a confirmed vacation (other than the flights)! I am very dissappointed, frustrated and tired of reaching out to customer service and keep getting the same answer: That they are workin on it and will hear from a SWVacations team member soon. This trip was planned to celebrate my mother's 84th birthday and my daughter's High School graduation. I chose SW Vacations because I thought it would be a seamless process, secure and fast...NOT!!
I am frustrated, tired and anxious. While I understand they may be very busy, it's been over two weeks. I never thought I would have such a bad experience! To anyone who is considering booking a vacation package with Southwest Vacations – If you need to cancel, and are issued credits, be forewarned your land and air are separate, which of course is not mentioned until you attempt to rebook and use your credits with SW Vacations. Apparently, Southwest Vacations handles the land portion of the package, and Southwest Air handles the flight portion of your vacation. Two totally separate companies. Okee dookee. Following the instructions from Southwest vacations, I called Southwest Air and I spent 15 minutes talking with a very nice person, and boda bing, boda boom – it was handled, no problems! I then spent 5 hours talking with SW Vacations, 4 different reps, of which 2 hung up on me. After mistakenly checking out Hotels on the Southwest Air website, I assumed the hotels would be the same price as on SW Vacations website (minus air) as on Southwest Air, Oh, no, no, no – I was told by the 4th rep, that I had to go onto SW Vacations to check the available Hotels. I did, and OMG, I kid you not, Southwest Vacations was attempting to charge $3500.00 more per person for the same Hotel that I looked at on SW Air (air not included)!!! I told the rep I have never dealt with such a disorganized, unprofessional company and click, that was the end of the conversation. I will still do business with Southwest Air – As far as Southwest Vacations are concerned I will skip the vacation packages, from Hell!!!!
