Paella cooking class in Barcelona
I recently got to take part in a paella cooking class in Barcelona, and let me tell you, it was absolutely amazing! It totally surpassed my expectations. The host was so awesome and the vibe was super friendly and welcoming. The teacher really knew their stuff and kept things fun and interesting with clear instructions and handy tips. The setup was cozy and just right for a great cooking sesh. I picked up some awesome skills that I can use at home now, and I left feeling pumped and happy. All in all, it was a really great time that I would totally recommend to anyone who wants to learn more about Spanish cooking traditions.

Double payment deduction, poor customer service
This company is a total nightmare. I got charged twice for an event that got canceled by the host, and when I reached out to them, I didn't hear back. Their insurance is useless because filing a claim goes nowhere. It feels like they just take your money and disappear, leaving you high and dry. It's completely unacceptable.

"Dining experience in Barcelona"
When I had dinner with Oriol in Barcelona, it was a pretty good experience. The food was yummy and the vibe was lively. Only downside was that Oriol's English wasn't the greatest, but luckily his daughter, who was 15, was able to help translate. I've also been to Martine's place in Amsterdam before and that was awesome too. I think EatWith is a cool platform to try out if you want some different dining experiences.

My time with EatWith was amazing, I gotta say. This website gives you a chance to chow down with some local chefs in a chill setting that beats eating out at a restaurant, hands down. It was a breeze connecting with local chefs through EatWith and the whole experience is one I won't be forgetting anytime soon. Parisian dinner with Marie-Astrid
I went to this fancy dinner in Paris at Marie-Astrid's house, and let me tell you, it was amazing! Her house was so cute, and Marie-Astrid and Remy were incredibly kind and made me feel like a VIP. We had such great conversations about interesting stuff, and honestly, it was the highlight of my trip to Europe. Oh, and don't even get me started on the food - that Apricot tart was out of this world!

Experience with EatWith
My recent experience with EatWith was pretty disappointing. I gave their services a shot for the first time and booked a host through their site. But the host ended up cancelling just minutes after I made the booking. I get that stuff happens, but what really bothered me was that EatWith charged my card right away even though the booking wasn't confirmed. And on top of that, they said it would take 10 days to get my refund.
Experience in Seville
I got to try EatWith while I was in Seville recently, and it was such an amazing find. It's really unique to eat a meal with a local host, chat with them, and then go explore the city based on their suggestions. It was like magic! I can't wait to do it again!
Dinner booking experience
The website was really frustrating and tricky to navigate. They used two different shades of orange for star ratings, which made it hard to tell the high ratings from the low ones. When I tried filtering by date, the events that showed up were either sold out or not even on the date I wanted, it felt like they were just trying to push more products on me. Why can't they make it simpler like AirBnB does? The map feature wasn't very helpful either, and I found the way they showed the results after filtering to be confusing. It was also weird that they were showing dinners in places far from where I was searching, like Epsom when I was looking for London. The blue flash saying "Your booking will automatically be accepted" was deceiving, especially when the events were already sold out. Overall, the whole website experience was so frustrating that I think I'll have to look somewhere else for dining experiences.
Foodie experience
I recently tried out this awesome app where you can dine with strangers in their homes and it was such a blast! Meeting new people and tasting various dishes felt like a culinary adventure right here in town. I highly recommend giving it a shot - it's like attending a small party every time you register. I definitely give it a big thumbs up!

I signed up for a Milan pizza and gelato course through this platform recently. But then, I got an email at the last minute saying the class was cancelled with no explanation. That is unacceptable and makes this platform look bad.
Homemade dinner experience
I used to be a chef and host on this platform, and at first, things were going well, but then they went downhill fast. I loved meeting new people and earning some extra cash. I went the extra mile to help promote the site, letting news reporters and videographers come to my place. But I never felt like the staff appreciated me. The platform used to help fill up my dinners for a fee, but eventually, the only ones that sold out were the ones I could fill myself. Bookings started to dry up, sometimes only one or two guests would show, so I had to invite pals for free to make it look busy. When COVID hit, I tried to host again, but I got no response. Plus, the new community manager was no help and always wanted me to redo my photos. I was even given false hope about joining Viator which was a waste of my time. In the end, I realized the stress of using this platform wasn't worth it.
Yummy Food Adventures
I've been on EatWith four times already, and every time has been amazing! I meet these awesome hosts who share incredible stories while feeding me delicious food. It's like being at home, but with way better food than what my mom cooks. I'm definitely interested in trying out one of their cooking classes next!
