Doheny Wide Mouth Skimmer sku...7860
I ordered a Doheny wide mouth skimmer sku... 7860, unaware that they (or no one else) sells a compatible winter plug. Their so called pool experts can provide no more information about their products than what is available on the website.
So now I have to drain my pool water level to find another skimmer plate with cover or change the whole thing, which would be a major hassle.
Find another company with actual knowledgeable sales people.shock
they sent me very poor quality shock and would not refund, replace or credit, this is a disingenuous unscrupulous shady business that ironically boasts of their dedication to customer satisfaction. stay away!
purchased (2) 25 lb. buckets of PH up
BUYER BEWARE! I ordered (2) 25lb buckets of PH up but Dohenys charged me for (4) 25lb buckets when I called they claimed I placed 1 order as a guest and 1 order on my account why would I order as a guest if I had an account? Then I said I would return the extra (2) buckets if they would send return labels. They told me I would have to pay $25.00 for each label, WOW! I told them that's crazy, after 1 more customer service rep and 2 managers the price per label went down to $18.00 per label for their error! I said no, and then I told them I would have my credit card company deal with them, then they said they would pay for 1/3 of the return and I should pay for the other 2/3, that was enough, I contacted my credit card company and they credited me for 1 of the purchases I was charged for and they dealt with Dohenys. I should have called them 1st.
pool filers - tried to buy
I ordered pool filters that were on back order. That's fine. When the product was in stock, I called and customer service said they would ship and arrive in 2 days. The filters did not arrive. I called 3 days later, product in stock and no idea when they will ship. Called again at 8 days, they told me to cancel the order. Also, when you call, you will talk to one person, then they transfer you to "customer service", which is the same people who answer the phone under "customer service". So, now you have talked to 2 customer service people per call who can not help you. After the order was cancelled, I ordered the same product through Amazon. I received a shipping notice withing 4 hours. I was shipping from Doheny's ( it showed Pleatco as the store). Time to see if Pleatco and Dohenys are owned by the same people. The same company who could not ship the product I ordered directly from them for more than 8 days.
Clouduster flocculent and natural clarifier
The product is great and cheaper than going to a pool store, however, the customer service department is horrible. You are on hold for a good 20 minutes and when you finally get in touch with someone you start to ask them questions they hand up on you. It happened twice so I know it was intentional. If you know what you want to order online, never call customer service.
Doheny 1HP pool pump model 72747
Pump bought to replace Hayward Super pump that had been in service 20 years.
This model 72747 started leaking 2nd year. Now pressure has dropped in half and will not pick up dirt on bottom of pool. Customer service with Doheny's could only advised for me to take to locale service company to determine problem. They could not advise or recomend parts needed to repair. This leaves me without a pump just starting out the season. I will not be buying any more items fro Doheny's.Hayward SP710XR50
Completely worthless and angering customer service. If you call, you get a foreign call center that can't / won't help. If you email, it takes multiple days to get responses and when you do get a response, it is robotic and scripted. They ignore you and worse offer no or unreasonable solutions. They left me hanging with a brand new defective Hayward valve. I wound up having to purchase o-rings myself just to get it to stop leaking. The way they treat customers is shameful.
Haywood pool vac
Ordered a pool vac online, (good price).. However, never received confirmation of the order. Called their customer service and was told they don't have my order, so they took the order over the phone and provided a confirmation number. Never received an email of the order. Called them back the next day, they said they see an online order but not the order placed on the phone. (WHAT's UP WITH THIS PLACE). I check my credit card statement online and had two billings. I called them back for the third time and go a big round around which took 45 minutes, I was told the order is in review by a supervisor, I asked to speak with the supervisor but was told no..(GO FIGURE).. so now told that the online order was cancelled and that a supervisor will call me and that I will get an email when the order is processed. The customer service person did not want to listen to anything I said, very blunt and unprofessional.
Swimline Overlap Pool Liner
I would give them zero stars if that was an option!! Long story short, My husband ordered a liner and stairs for our above ground pool on 3/30/21. AFTER paying for the order online, we were informed that the liner was on back order and would not ship until the following week. We received the stairs on time and was expecting to receive the liner the very next week but we did not. After calling the company SEVERAL times and receiving SEVERAL different shipping dates, we are STILL without a liner! The last delivery date we received was for 5/27/21. I allowed plenty time to pass before I called them again because I just knew I was going to get another bogus delivery date. I called them back today, 7/2/21 to find that they "canceled" my order for the liner on 6/29/21 because they sent an email to my husband about the card on file and after no response from him, they canceled the order! Just like that!! I have been patient for over 3 months and you cancel my order due to no response to an email? My husband left for deployment on 5/1/21, a month after we placed the order and I have been dealing with these people every since!
50 pound container of 3 inch chlorinating tabs
Doheny’s shipped out my order but it was lost/stolen en route with FedEx. I called the Doheny’s 800 number twice and was hung up on twice when I stated that I needed customer service. I then emailed and received a reply that Doheny’s was looking into it with FedEx and instructions to call on June 9 if I did not hear from them. I called and was hung up on a third time. I emailed again requesting either a refund or replacement order but did not receive a reply. Doheny’s advertises the Customer Service is their number one priority. Truth is, Customer Service is nonexistent at Doheny’s. I ended up filing a credit card dispute to get a refund. I recommend that other consumers avoid problems by ordering from other companies and not Doheny’s.
Milano Pool and all equipment for hook up
DO NOT use this company!! They are promising to get you a pool fairly quickly this spring and that is a lie. It keeps being backordered. All pool retailers are overrun with orders for this spring and tell you it could be next fall, but Doheny's salesman promise you can get it in less than a month.
