Online tutoring services
The online tutoring services offered by the company are not up to par. The pay rates have stayed the same since 2012, which is well below what is reasonable for English-speaking countries. This lack of fair pay for the tutors makes you wonder about the company's values and dedication to giving good service. Some tutors seem unqualified, as seen in their struggles with basic grammar on Facebook. It's worrying that people who aren't fluent in English are teaching on the platform. On top of that, some students have unreasonable expectations for tutors, asking for a lot of work for very little pay.
Language learning experience
While I was at Cambly, I was lucky enough to come across an amazing tutor who not only helped me get better at English but also gave me great advice and made sure our study sessions were relaxed and effective. I really enjoyed our classes and felt like I could really learn and grow in that supportive environment. I'm so thankful for all the progress I made during my time there and I definitely suggest Cambly to anyone wanting to improve their language skills.

Using the language learning assistance service has really helped me feel more confident when I travel, read, and listen to English stuff. I've also started enjoying jokes more when I watch movies in English.
Subscription cancellation issue
I really wanted to give the subscription a shot, but I had to cancel it right away due to a personal issue. I didn't even have a chance to use it. When I reached out to cancel on the same day, they told me I had to pay about 20% of the annual price as a cancellation fee. I don't think that's fair at all. Cancelling within just 10 hours of buying it should not come with such a high fee. They should treat their customers more reasonably and honestly. It feels like they're trying to take advantage of people for money, and that's not right.

I just started using a language learning app to help me get better at English. It's awesome because I can chat with native speakers from different countries, and it's really boosting my confidence in speaking. I've been taking lessons since November, and I've had a few different teachers who have all been super helpful with tips and advice. I think this app is really great for anyone who wants to improve their English and connect with people from all over the world.
Recent Cambly student
My time as a student at Cambly was really disappointing. I signed up for a bunch of classes but had to cancel them because I got really sick. When I tried to explain this to my tutor and Cambly, they didn't seem to care or try to help me out. My tutor didn't seem to be very good at English and didn't seem like they were qualified to teach, showing that Cambly doesn't really check out their teachers properly. It's worrying that just anyone can teach on there without any real qualifications or oversight. Teachers apparently don't get paid very well, which is pretty unfair, especially with everything going on globally. Cambly's rules seem to only benefit the company, making things hard for both students and teachers. They don't even give refunds and let go of teachers without even giving a reason. Overall, my time with Cambly made me feel like I was being taken advantage of and left me disappointed.

I enjoyed having the teachers assist me with my English, but it's frustrating when they don't show up for the lesson. It's happened about four times in the past couple of months without any notice. When I bring it up to the company, they just brush it off saying "unexpected things happen." But really, it's missing like two lessons each month! Some teachers need to be more reliable and respectful of their students' time.

I was a customer of this online English tutoring service, and I have to say I was really let down by the lack of support I got when I reported some students for being racist and discriminatory. They say they don't stand for that kind of behavior in their Code of Conduct, but my experience showed otherwise. I reported it, hoping for some kind of solution, but instead, I got a response that had nothing to do with my problem. It just made me feel like they didn't care and left me feeling pretty disappointed in their lack of action.
