    Flight review

    We hopped on this really cool flight from South Africa to Abu Dhabi with my fam, and man, it was amazing! The flight attendants were seriously awesome and totally made our flight. Huge shoutout to Ashleigh Marigano and Rim Zouaoui for being the absolute best flight attendants ever! They worked their butts off and were super friendly to everyone, even the grumps. But gotta say, the flight attendants on the next leg of our trip from Abu Dhabi to Manchester weren't quite as awesome, which was a bummer.

    Delayed flight, no refund, lack of compensation

    The airline just up and canceled my flight out of the blue, so now I'm stuck getting back home three whole days later than I planned. And as if that wasn't bad enough, they won't even give me back the extra cash I forked over to upgrade my seats on the first flight. When I tried to ask for some kind of compensation, they just pulled some sleazy trick to weasel out of paying me a dime. It's downright shameful and low-down. From now on, I think I'll stick with Emirates or Qatar for my travels. Etihad Airways should be embarrassed for acting this way.

    Broken seat in business class

    Flight experience

    My flight with that airline recently was just terrible. My suitcase got broken into and stuff was stolen while I was traveling. I tried reaching out to customer service but they just brushed me off and said the damage wasn't a big deal. They wouldn't even compensate me for the stolen items. It's ridiculous how they're not taking responsibility for what happened. I can't believe a supposedly good airline would treat their customers like this.

    Solo flight to Thailand at Christmas

    My experience with this airline really let me down. When I travel alone, I usually trust recommendations from flight centers to pick a good company. But man, this airline did not live up to my expectations at all. I ran into problems on both my way out and my way back. First off, the online check-in told me I needed a visa when I didn't, causing a hold-up at Heathrow that stressed me out. Then, when I arrived at Abu Dhabi, I found out they didn't even give me a seat! I had to keep going back and forth between security and customer service to sort that mess out. The return flight was a nightmare too - their booking system messed up and put me on standby. I spent hours talking between the flight center and Etihad before they finally let me check in. It was a headache and really got on my nerves. Overall, I was so disappointed in this airline's lack of efficiency and bad customer service that I'm definitely going to look into other options for my next trip.

    Changed airlines, extra cost

    I was supposed to fly with one airline, but they switched me to another one and I had to fork out extra cash to bring my bike. The customer service at the Dubai airport was totally useless, and when I tried to reach out to the airline online, they straight up ignored me. I'm gonna do everything I can to avoid flying with them in the future.

    Damaged baggage claim

    During my recent flight with this airline, I couldn't believe how terrible the customer service was. When I got my luggage at my destination, it was all messed up and broken. I did everything they said to do to file a complaint and get some money back for it. But even though I sent in all the papers and proof they asked for, they just closed my case without telling me why. When I called to ask what was going on, everyone kept avoiding me and wouldn't own up to their mess-up. It's not cool at all, and I'm super annoyed that this airline can't take responsibility and act like pros.

    Australia to Japan flight

    I flew from Australia to Japan with them recently, and the flight was great. The seats were super comfy, and the flight attendants were really nice. Only problem was my friend's favorite shirt got lost in the overhead bin. We let them know right away, but it's been two months and we still haven't heard back. That's not cool, guys.

    Long-haul flight experience from UK to Australia

    The baggage policy and pricing were good, but the whole flight experience was not great. The trip to Abu Dhabi on the A380 plane was fine, but the flight to and from Sydney on the Boeing Skyliner was way too cramped for a 17-hour trip. The entertainment choices were lacking, with not much variety in movies and music, and it was a letdown there was no live TV or WiFi. The food and drinks were basic and didn't meet my expectations for a long flight.

    Flight experience

    My recent flight with this airline was a complete nightmare. Right after we got on, they made us evacuate because of a funky smell like burnt oil, which made me wonder if they even take care of their planes properly. They kept moving us around to different gates without any clear instructions, so everyone was all confused and annoyed. The staff didn't bother to communicate or get organized, which just made everything worse. And even though they said we'd get free food, none of the airport places would take our vouchers, so we were all just starving and tired after a super restless night. The whole thing was a disaster, with a huge delay and terrible customer service that just left a bad taste in my mouth.

    Travel with separated family members

    My recent flight with this airline was a total nightmare. I was flying with a baby and some family but we got split up because all the seats were taken. When I asked the customer service for help to sit together, they were straight up rude. The agent basically said tough luck or find another flight, no promises of sitting together and probably more charges. It was pretty heartless and frustrating, especially with a little one in tow.
