My Experience with Stash
I have been a client of Stash for several months now and overall, I am very satisfied with their service. Their user interface is easy to navigate and they offer a wide variety of investment options, which is great for someone like me who is new to investing. I also appreciate that they offer educational resources to help me learn more about investing and make informed decisions.
One thing that I particularly like about Stash is that they allow you to invest with as little as $1, which is perfect for someone who is just starting to build their investment portfolio. They also have a feature that allows you to set up automatic investments, which is convenient for someone like me who is busy and doesn't have a lot of time to constantly monitor my investments.
Customer service is great as well, I had a couple of questions and they were able to answer them promptly and thoroughly.
In terms of drawbacks, I do wish that they offered more options for tax-advantaged accounts like Roth or traditional IRA.
Overall, I highly recommend Stash to anyone who is interested in investing but feels intimidated by the process. They make it easy and accessible for anyone to start building their investment portfolio.Investment advice
The financial advisor here was super helpful in breaking down all the investment options I had. They really took the time to give me suggestions that fit what I wanted. Their advice was spot-on and super valuable. Plus, the staff was always polite and professional, which made me feel at ease and like I knew what was going on. I'd absolutely suggest their services to anyone in need of financial guidance.
Cool socks
I recently scored some awesome socks, but then things took a turn for the worse with my account and I got locked out for months. I had to shoot an email over to the website team to square things away, and after some back and forth, I finally got my hands on those socks. What a relief!
Investment platform experience
My experience with this investment platform was really disappointing. The company was not very transparent or accountable, which made me question if I could trust them. I tried my best, but it felt like my money just disappeared without any explanation. The negative reviews I read turned out to be right - they really don't seem to care about their clients' financial well-being. Instead of feeling safe and supported in my investment decisions, I was worried and unsure about what was happening with my money. On the other hand, Monix Capital has been great. They've given me the growth and help I needed, with steady returns on my investments.
IRA Account Experience
My time dealing with the IRA account at this company has been super frustrating! The app is always acting up, crashing, freezing, and kicking me out, which is making it impossible to actually use and take care of my account. Whenever I try to make changes or close the account, I hit roadblocks left and right. Customer service hasn't been any help at all - they just give me different info and can't fix any of the problems I'm having. This process of closing the account has been going on for months, causing unnecessary stress and headaches. I definitely wouldn't recommend using this company for your investments if you care about good customer service and a working app.
Unauthorized account activity
I've been dealing with some unauthorized stuff going on in my account and it's been a total nightmare trying to get things fixed. I've been calling them over and over, talking to different people every day for a week, but my account is still not safe. These hackers have been causing havoc, uploading old documents and stealing from me left and right. Stash hasn't been doing much to help, and their investigation is moving at a snail's pace. It's just not right. I suggest you steer clear of this company, folks.
Trying to cancel subscription
I've been trying to cancel my dumb subscription for what feels like forever! They just keep taking my money each month, no matter what I do to try and make it stop. It's super frustrating! All they want to do is take all my cash, like ugh, it's the worst! Definitely don't trust that website, they're a bunch of shady characters.
Roth IRA Transfer
I gotta tell you about this financial services company I was dealing with. At first, everything was cool but then came the time I had to move my Roth IRA to a different place. Man, it's been a total mess! It's already been over a month and nothing's happened with the transfer. And to top it off, my accounts got all frozen up during all this, making things way more stressful and annoying than they had to be. I'm just really let down and fed up with how they've been handling things.
Sign up process
Oh my gosh, I totally wanted to check out this app because my friend was raving about it and it seemed pretty neat. But then, guess what, they asked me to upload photos of my ID and Social Security card! I was like, seriously? I've never had to do that for any other bank or app. So I gave them a call and they were like, "It's necessary because of the Patriot Act of 2011." Like, what the heck does that even mean? I just wanted to close my account right then and there. It's just so crazy!
Account access issues
I've been a loyal customer for a while now, but man, I've been having some major issues with my account access lately. Getting logged out every now and then was annoying, but now I can't even log in because I got a new phone number. They only gave me the option to call or text my old number, and when I tried reaching out to customer support, I just couldn't get through. Turns out their 24hr support is just a useless bot that can't help with anything. I definitely don't recommend using this service. I'm in the process of moving my remaining funds to Cash App or some other platform and saying goodbye to this company. Dealing with all this is just not worth the hassle.
Stocks
I tried to buy some stocks online, but man, the customer service team was no help at all when I really needed it. It was a major letdown! Deposits are easy peasy, but withdrawals were a headache. So, I decided to switch to a different broker that is absolutely killing it.
Easy deposit; difficult withdrawal
When it comes to depositing money, it was easy and simple. But trying to take money out of this company was a real hassle. The customer service team was quick to help, but their hands were tied because they relied on AI chatbots. It was annoying not getting the personalized help you'd hope for from a real person. All in all, the whole experience was pretty disappointing, especially when it came to customer support.
Switched banks, locked account, slow escalation
Stash was my main investment platform until they decided to change banks. Now, my account has been locked up since January, which has been super frustrating. I sent in all the required documents, but their escalation process is taking forever. It's nothing like the quick service I used to get - now it feels like I'm being ignored. I lost money because I couldn't even sell my stocks. At this point, I can't rely on them anymore and would caution others to avoid using Stash.
Deception and Delay
My experience with this company has literally been a nightmare. I've tried multiple times to talk to customer service about my issues, but all I get are delays, excuses, and flat-out denials. It's really sketchy how they aren't being upfront about what's going on and it feels like all they want to do is come up with excuses instead of fixing things. And get this - just last week, they tried to take money from my checking account without asking me first. That is not okay at all. I feel like I need to take legal action to make sure they own up to what they're doing and to protect other people from getting scammed by them.
