Spotted the flyer in my mailbox and kept a few pages. We were heading out camping in a trailer, first time together, so I was looking for comfy seats. I’d tried a zero-gravity chair before but assumed they were pricey. This deal — two chairs for the price of one — made me try it. Delivery was fine. Happy it turned out well and didn't actually break the budget.
Catalog lucky break
I wasn't planning to buy anything — got a random catalog, ripped out a few pages and tossed it in the camper. We ended up sitting around in that trailer, and when I tried the zero-gravity chair again I thought, huh, I can actually afford two for the price of one here. Not flawless (packing could've been better) but in that moment I was relieved and happy.
Box of surprises
they were a bit broken in the box but still tasted awesome, that doubt vanished. The jelly beans, though, were stale and had an odd chemical aftertaste, and customer service put me on hold and never called back, annoying. All in all I'm glad part of the order hit the mark, but there's room to improve.
Heat worked, warranty didn't
I bought this space heater because my small office gets freezing and bad back makes it hard to layer up. I was on the fence about the extra two-year warranty but the rep sounded convincing, I paid. Four months later the unit died and they told me there were no warranties left, I'd have to ship it back myself and only get store credit. The heater was quiet and warmed fast, which surprised me.
Unexpectedly into their stuff
I was skeptical at first — online photos, weird sizing, you know the drill. I finally ordered a pair last fall because the catalog had a style I couldn’t find anywhere else. They arrived fast and the first wear actually blew me away. Fit was true and I got a few compliments right away. One pair was a bit stiff day one but broke in after a couple wears. I actually look forward to the monthly mailer. Not perfect, but I’ll keep buying from them.
Great rep, unclear ELITE perks
read the fine print or ask first; still worth calling if you get stuck.
Savings clicked when I opened it
simple site, solid prices, not fancy. The exact moment I got happy was when the box arrived and the coins actually looked better than the pics, and that 20% sign-up discount was real. Bit of a pleasant surprise: a tiny promo coin tucked inside. Only gripe is the shipping timeline info could be clearer.
Catalog surprise
I was flipping through their catalog on the couch and honestly got that little wow feeling — stuff I didn’t even know I needed and prices that made me double-check. The rep was super friendly and mentioned the Value Club; I almost shrugged it off because I’ve been burned by memberships before. But I joined, placed three orders, and the savings already covered the fee — that’s the exact moment I relaxed and knew it was worth it. Also, a few items are hard to find anywhere else, and delivery actually arrived sooner than I expected.
Quick human help calmed me down
I was pacing around my apartment because my lower back was acting up after a move, and I needed a replacement cushion ASAP. I hesitated — new site, too-good price, you know the worry — but clicked buy. Within about 15 minutes a real person (Brian) emailed to confirm details, explain their membership stuff without the hard sell, and asked if I needed anything else. That actually settled me. Cushion showed up like they said, fit fine, and my back’s happier. Still a little wary online, but this felt sincere.
Mostly helpful, a few rough edges
I needed a cordless thermometer and some face shields for a small weekend clinic and some extra safety in the kitchen, so I ordered and even paid for priority shipping. I was worried the catalog wouldn’t match reality and that shipping would be slow. The delivery took longer than I expected and I got put on hold a couple times, which was annoying, but I was pleasantly surprised — the items mostly work and did what I needed. One piece didn’t look exactly like the picture and there was a double charge at first, but support fixed it. Not perfect, but usable.
Mostly on time, a few issues
The boxes kept arriving on time. I didn't expect that. Online shopping is necessary for me right now because of health — I have a planned heart surgery in May 2025, so stepping out is limited. I started ordering early. Their catalog is straightforward. Ordering was simple, though the site hiccupped once; I had to refresh and place the order again. Customer service answered an email within a day and clarified shipping options. Delivery met the dates they promised. Packages were intact. Prices are fair for what you get, not the cheapest I've seen, but not expensive either. I used other catalogs before and had mixed results; one let me down with late deliveries, so I am cautious. Here it worked. It's not flawless — a small item came with a scuff — but they offered a return label quickly. That helped. Overall, this service lets me plan ahead, which I need. Dry, dependable. Not perfect, but reliable when it matters.
Too many extra fees, skip it
don’t bother unless you like paying more for cheap stuff. I needed a few basics for a last-minute move and figured I’d grab them here — bad idea. The products are low quality and priced like they were premium. Then they add $9.95 shipping, another $3.99 “order processing” fee, tax, and an optional $2.99 package assurance (which is not insurance, by the way). So you end up paying way more than the item is worth, and the “assurance” sounded sketchy. I’ve ordered similar junk from other catalog places and online retailers, and honestly even Walmart was a better deal. Mildly annoyed, kind of expected better, but oh well.
Finally not mad about a computer
I first saw their ad on Facebook and my neighbor actually suggested I give them a shot for my 91‑year‑old uncle — he’s a retired USAF Master Sgt and hasn’t been out since COVID, so his email is everything. I was skeptical, like, really skeptical, because refurbished stuff can be hit or miss. The first unit they sent was a mess (old Windows, dusty fan), and we thought it was over. What changed everything was when I called and the vendor actually took it seriously — they sent a proper replacement, cleaned up the internals, and activated a legit copy of Windows. The moment I knew we were okay was when my uncle logged into his email without hiccups and actually laughed at a meme someone sent. Not perfect, not instant, but they fixed it and that made me satisfied, honestly.
Couch confession
My couch (and a half-empty mug) saw the whole thing — I first spotted these velcro shoes on my phone after my sister texted a tip, so I tossed a couple items in the cart. Later at my desk I added three more on the website and hit checkout, thinking I’d already cleared the other cart. Turns out I hadn’t, so yeah, two orders. I was low-key annoyed at first, skeptical the company would even be around — Blair used to be my go-to — but when the shoes arrived and actually fit? That’s when I relaxed, really. Nice comfy shoes, exactly what I wanted. I kept both orders, because, well, better safe than sorry.
That moment I actually smiled
not perfect, but I’d buy from them again — if only because that tiny moment of clarity felt like a win.
Quick turnaround from the new CEO
straight up said the company dropped the ball and then proposed a fix that went beyond what I thought reasonable for such a small purchase. Better still, she followed through exactly on the timeline she promised, which is rare enough to mention. The whole interaction felt very procedural but in a good way—efficient, no fluff, and handled by someone who clearly wanted to sort it out. If I have one thing to highlight, it’s that personal accountability from leadership actually changed my mind about shopping here again. I’ll probably go back and I’ve already told a couple friends who asked. My only small wish is that this level of responsiveness wasn’t only reachable by emailing the CEO; would be nice if regular support matched it. But if you’re stuck and nothing else works, try escalating politely — it worked for me. Overall, a solid recovery and I appreciated the follow-through.
Kitchen-table decision
comfy clothes, little gifts, stuff to make recovery easier and just everyday things for being home. So I ordered from Heartland America (their catalog felt familiar), and, honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. Delivery showed up sooner than I thought, tracking was useful, and everything came packed nicely — no dents or soggy boxes, which matters when you can't dash out to replace stuff. Customer service was calm and helpful when I called to change an address and they even combined two orders to cut down on deliveries, which I appreciated. Prices are fair — not rock-bottom but reasonable for what I got. I went in skeptical and came out relieved; feels good to be ready and to rely on a service that actually helps when you need it.
Value Club Membership
I recently signed up for the Value Club membership and let me tell you, the customer service I got from Scott at Heartland America was top-notch. It was super fast and he even hooked me up with a $26 credit and 20% off my purchase just for signing up. Scott took the time to walk me through all the perks of the membership and really convinced me it was the way to go. And get this, he also gave me a $10 gift card and credited my Visa Card as a thank you gesture. Working in the mortgage industry, I know good customer service when I see it, and let me tell you - Heartland America really knocked it out of the park.
Mystery Box Purchase
I got this mystery box and was so happy with all the stuff in it! Everything inside was really cool and I definitely feel like I got a good deal.
Daily Black Friday special purchase
I bought this Daily Black Friday special thing I saw advertised recently. I wasn't sure about it at first, so I called Customer Service to talk about it. The person I spoke to knew a lot and told me the product was as good as advertised. Even though I'm not super up-to-date on tech stuff, they assured me it was legit. After talking to them, I went ahead and placed my order online. I was shocked when the product was shipped out so quickly. It was nice to talk to someone so helpful in Customer Service!
