Great Home Security System
Oh my goodness, I just got the coolest home security system that syncs up with all my Apple devices! Ordering it online was a breeze and it arrived super quick. I was a little confused setting it up at first, but the person on the online chat was incredibly friendly and guided me through every step. They even helped me out when I had to reset the activation key! I sent them pictures of my door frame and they gave me some tips on where to place the motion sensor. The kit works like a charm with my HomeKit and I love having a key fob to easily set off the alarm without using my phone. The camera takes amazing pictures too. The alarm could be a bit louder, but it gets the job done. I haven't set up the automations yet, but I have a feeling they'll be awesome too. And the best part is, I managed to do all of this on my own without having to ask my kids for help. This home security system is hands down the best one I've ever had!
Smart home hub purchase
I bought a product that didn't meet my expectations. The hub isn't working right, and they made some changes that make it less convenient for customers. Now, you have to pay for automation features and detailed notifications that used to be free. Even if you use HomeKit, there are still limits that require payment. The Pro plan isn't even an option in Quebec, but they still take payments without offering necessary monitoring and cellular backup services. The customer support has been really bad at dealing with these problems.
8 Abode Cam 2 cameras
The Abode Cam 2 cameras were a total rip-off. I thought I'd be smart and buy 8 of these cameras to watch over my mom's house - 3 inside and 5 outside. I set them up by myself and even sprung for the Pro subscription. But not even a week later, the cameras started acting up and going offline for no reason. I tried everything to fix them, but they just kept failing. And within 6 months, all 8 cameras conked out completely, leaving my mom unprotected since she couldn't figure out how to get them working again. I ended up switching to Blink cameras and haven't had a single problem since. Now the Abode cameras just sit in a box gathering dust.
Home security equipment
I recently got some home security stuff from Abode and it was pretty cheap and easy to set up. Being a new homeowner, I really liked how simple it was to get everything running. But, I gotta say, I wasn't too impressed with the camera quality. It just wasn't up to par. And it was a bummer that the cameras can only record short 30-second clips. The camera detections were also hit or miss for me. The Iota hub cam was a letdown, didn't live up to my hopes. On a brighter note, the door/window sensors were top-notch. I'm crossing my fingers that Abode steps up their game with the camera quality, especially for the ones that run on batteries.
doorbell struggle
I was really frustrated trying to make this stupid doorbell connect to my chime. And once it finally got going, the battery died way too quickly without giving me any warning. I mean, seriously, who came up with this design? It definitely needs a big upgrade, that's for sure.
Smart lighting system purchase
I really need to let you know that the smart lighting system I bought from your store has been a major letdown. I was expecting it to be easy to use and set up, but it's been nothing but troubles trying to connect to my downlights through Bluetooth. Every time I try to use the app, something seems to change, and the system just doesn't work like it's supposed to. It feels like the whole thing is designed to annoy customers instead of making things smooth. And all these requests for new permissions like location, Wi-Fi, and camera access just don't make sense for a simple colored light system. I thought I'd be able to turn on colored lights and change colors without any hassle, but instead I'm stuck dealing with complicated setups, resetting passwords, and Bluetooth connection issues. Honestly, the product isn't worth the money at all and has just been causing me stress.
DIY Home Security System
I've had a pretty good experience with Abode overall. The hardware has been reliable for the most part, except for the outdoor smart camera they don't make anymore. The monitored service is great too - whenever I've tested the fire/smoke alarms, I get a call right away. And I really like how easy it is to integrate with Home Assistant, so I can use the motion and door/window sensors to control other smart devices in my home.
Faulty security system
My experience with this security system has been a total disaster. The cameras keep disconnecting all the time, the front door camera won't update, and the picture is always black. Even though I paid for the Pro plan, I haven't gotten any alerts and never got the sim card they promised to activate the system. And to top it off, the security sign that came with the system is missing a part. I feel like I wasted my money on this and it's been really frustrating.
Surveillance camera system purchase
I was really disappointed with the surveillance camera system I bought. The image quality was terrible and I couldn't even zoom in on the footage. It kept going offline too, which was super annoying. Plus, the interface was really awkward and definitely needs some work. I wish I had done more research before buying it. It's a good idea to ask for samples or live links before you make a decision too. I did that, but never got them. The 50% off sale seemed like a trick to me, so don't rush into buying anything.
Security system
I got this security system a few months back and man, it's awesome! I can keep an eye on my pets when I'm out and I get alerts when the motion sensor is tripped. Setting it up was a breeze and I even connected it to Alexa so I can command it with my voice. It's like being a spy in my own home! I'm so glad I chose this system because I feel much more secure now.
Motion Detector purchase
It's really annoying trying to get a response through email from this place. I've had to send a bunch of emails just to get a simple answer. And let me tell you about their alarm system - so unreliable! There were times when the alarm would go off, and nobody even bothered to give me a call. Like, isn't there a procedure in place for that kind of thing? I thought I was buying a camera for monitoring, but it ended up being just a motion detector. Probably my fault for not reading carefully, but clearer product descriptions would have been helpful.
Security system installation
My experience getting the security system installed was pretty good. I did run into a small problem registering one device, but tech support was able to sort it out quickly. I'm getting notifications right away on both the chime and my phone, but there have been a couple that I missed. I haven't had a chance to try out all the devices yet, like the smoke detector, motion sensor, or glass break detection.
Home security system purchase
I got this home security system from this company that really does the trick for me. They have a bunch of different devices to choose from that work perfectly for what I need. The system has hardly ever gone down on me, so I think it's a high-quality product. And whenever I've had questions or problems, the customer support team has been super helpful and quick to respond.
Smart home products
If you're looking for a headache, just try getting these smart home products to actually cooperate. That Z wave technology? It's like it's got a mind of its own, always disconnecting and stubbornly refusing to reconnect. It's enough to drive you crazy! And don't even get me started on those light bulbs that just won't come back on after the power flickers. It's a total nightmare, especially for a vacation home where you can't just manually fix everything. The only thing saving grace are the cameras, they seem to be working okay. But even they can't make up for all the frustration caused by the rest of these finicky products.
Smart home security system purchase
The smart home security system I got from Abode is pretty cool, I gotta say. It's got a lot of functions and features that make me feel good about keeping my home safe. But, I gotta be real, the settings are kind of a pain to figure out sometimes. It would be so much easier if they had little pop-up tips or examples to help me along the way. One thing that really bugs me is that the cameras don't work with Apple HomeKit. Being an Apple person, that's a big downside for me because I'm all about Apple stuff. I think if they made a version of the system that plays nice with Apple devices, it would make life a whole lot easier for Apple users like me.
Outdoor cameras purchase
I bought these two outdoor cameras, but I couldn't even figure out how to get them to connect to my internet and security system. I talked to two tech support people, but they couldn't help either, so I ended up sending the cameras back. I only got a small refund, which was really disappointing!
Compatibility issues with Homekit
I was pretty bummed that it didn't work with Homekit. It would have been nice to know that before I bought it. Also, it was a bummer that there weren't any decals or a sign for the front yard included, especially after dropping a good amount of cash on it.
Purchased a residential standalone alarm system.
I was pretty impressed by Abode's alarm system at first, but then I was let down when I found out it wasn't as flexible as I hoped for. As a customer, I was hoping to be able to group sensors into different zones like ground floor, first floor, main house, or barbecue area, and set different time delays for each zone. This way, I could customize it to fit my home security needs better. It's a bummer that this feature was missing because it would have really improved the user experience a lot.
Home security system purchase
I'm really happy with the help I got when I was picking out a home security system for my place. The person helping me had all the info I needed but didn't pressure me into anything, so I could choose what worked best for me. Setting it up was easy, and I liked that I could customize the monitoring to fit what I wanted. All in all, it was a good experience.
Home security equipment with HomeKit compatibility
The home security equipment is really top-notch and so easy to set up. It's even compatible with HomeKit, which is a great bonus. The app that comes with it is super easy to use, makes it a breeze to control everything. But, gotta say, my experience with customer service wasn't the best. I had an issue trying to update the contact info for the monitoring company in case of emergencies. The customer service rep asked me to give them the phone number for the monitoring company, which I thought was weird. I mean, shouldn't they already have that info? Seemed pretty backwards to me that I had to provide that stuff as a customer.
