Personalized photo book
I ordered a personalized photo book from this company not too long ago. The book itself was okay, but man, did they go overboard with the spam emails! I get that they gotta promote their stuff, but I was getting bombarded with emails every single day. I tried unsubscribing and blocking them, but those emails just kept on coming. It was driving me crazy!
Photo book
I tried to put together this awesome photo book on the app, but I couldn't even finish it! It was so frustrating! I reached out to customer service multiple times, but they were no help at all. And to top it off, they just went ahead and deleted my entire project! I was really upset since I put so much effort into it. Ugh! I used to enjoy using this app for everything, but now I'm completely done with it. I uninstalled the app and haven't even thought about it since!
Delayed Christmas cards and ornaments
It's December 23rd and I still haven't gotten my Christmas cards and ornaments that I ordered for my granddaughter. I've been a customer since 2009, but since the company got bought out by a big corporation, the service hasn't been as good. They haven't told me where my order is, and I'm starting to wonder if they'll ever show up. I'm scared I'll lose all my pictures and projects if they close more sites. Shutterfly, please fix this!
Photo book for Mother's Day gift
I just bought a photo book as a gift for Mother's Day for my wife, and I gotta say I am super bummed about how it turned out. I used really nice pictures taken with a good camera, but the quality in the book was not good. A lot of the photos looked blurry and pixelated, which made it hard to enjoy looking at them. Also, the book was all messed up with some pages only having one random photo on them. It was not what we were hoping for at all and we were left feeling let down and annoyed.
Prints and one magnet
I ordered some prints and a magnet a couple of weeks ago, and I'm still waiting for it to show up. The wait is really getting to me, and I'm super bummed about how there's been no updates on my order.
Photo book purchase
The photo book I bought had really bad prints that looked super fuzzy. Even though Shutterfly said they'd redo it for free, the new version still didn't look good. The "100% satisfaction guarantee" turned out to be kind of a letdown, since it seems like there was some issue during production that messed things up. After this, I don't think I'll be using Shutterfly again to make photo books.
Photo printing experience
The experience of printing photos on this website was pretty frustrating. The biggest problem I had was that the colors in the prints were off - they looked more brown and muted than they should have. It worked okay for some pictures, but definitely not for others. Also, they don't offer enough choices for aspect ratios when printing cards. Not all pictures look good in the same ratio, but Shutterfly doesn't let you adjust that.
But the user interface was the worst part of all. Even though I know a lot about computers and design, I had a hard time figuring out how to use the website. I ended up spending more time trying to navigate than actually getting my photos printed, which was really annoying and made the whole process less enjoyable.Photo books, customer service, custom design

Photo album purchase
I've been a loyal customer of this company for a while and have always been happy with the products I've received. But my recent experience was a letdown. I was putting together this album for a big event, only to find out that there's a cap on the number of photos allowed in each album. I searched the website high and low, but there was no clear info about this limit. It was frustrating because I was only three events away from finishing the album. When I reached out to customer service, they confirmed there's a limit on both photos and pages, which was never clearly stated. Their suggestion to take out some photos to make more space didn't sit right with me because each photo is sentimental. This surprise restriction has me thinking twice about using this company again in the future.
Travel photo book
I recently bought a travel photo book and spent a ton of time editing and perfecting it. I was super careful to keep the text to a minimum to avoid mistakes and used the same font throughout. But when I got the final book, it was totally wrong. The first page had a big typo where "NEW DELHI" was spelled right at the top but appeared as "N2w Deli" at the bottom in two different fonts. And there was a page that was supposed to show the different types of transportation we used on the trip with the text "Planes, Trains, Boats, and Bikes," but instead, it said "Plains." It was so unexpected and embarrassing, it ruined the whole gift-giving experience.
Christmas Card Order
I just ordered some Christmas cards, but I had a bad experience with the company's service. I placed the order on December 1st, but it didn't ship until December 6th. The tracking numbers they gave me were no help at all, didn't tell me anything about where my order was.
Holiday card purchase
My experience with this company totally sucked. I ordered some holiday cards and paid extra to get them delivered by a certain date, but they ended up being late. It was a real pain and letdown. When I contacted customer service, they didn't seem to care and didn't offer any way to make up for the delay.

My experience with this company was a total disaster. I ordered something personalized, but what I got was way off from what I asked for. The quality was terrible, and the customer service was even worse. When I tried to talk to them about fixing it, they didn't even apologize and just made excuses. It was so frustrating that I won't be using their service again.

Their customer service is basically non-existent, and that is not cool at all. I wouldn't suggest anyone to bother with them, and I definitely won't be buying from them again.

I don't know what happened to Shutterfly but they are not the same company I dealt with when they first opened their doors. I've ordered a couple of items, including a magnet, mousepad, mug, and photobook, from them over the years - never had a problem until recently. What was supposed to be a perfect, special gift for my son's engagement turned into a horrible disaster. First of all, they cut the heads off the pictures I had sent them. When I spoke to customer service about it they said it would take them an additional 6 days to rectify the mistake. That meant the items would arrive a week after the engagement had happened. I've lost confidence in how Shutterfly operates. Hope they improve their service delivery.
