    Electric bike purchase

    This company is a mess. I have no idea what's going on with the quality, but it's definitely gone way downhill. My new bike has given me so many problems, and the customer service is a joke. And let's talk about these new batteries - what a rip off. Why would they put the charging port right next to the keyhole? That's just asking for trouble. People have reported sparks and blown fuses because of this stupid design. Trying to fix it is a nightmare since they've sealed the batteries shut and glued on the fuse. It's like they want you to buy a new battery every time something goes wrong. And don't even get me started on customer service. No one picks up the phone, and if they do, all they say is to buy a new battery. I'm not spending $700 on a battery every year just to ride a bike. The warranty is a joke, and they make it impossible to get any help. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this company and their bikes. It's a total scam.

    I just bought a bike and man, the customer service I've been dealing with is a nightmare. It looks like they're short-staffed, which really shows in how bad their service has become. My new bike had a messed up battery and it took forever to get a response about whether it was covered by the warranty - we're talking two to three weeks between emails. And then, even after they said they'd replace the battery under warranty, they changed their minds and said it expired while they were taking their sweet time. Total mess.

    The customer service at this place is just terrible. It was so hard to get a hold of someone when my order messed up. I couldn't even cancel the order, and by the time I finally talked to someone, it was too late. They said it was the warehouse's fault, but no one wanted to take responsibility. I had to keep the bike, pay a lot of money in fees to return it. I won't be coming back here for sure.

    I bought an electric bike from this company and it's been a real pain. The bike was packed well when it arrived, but once I put it together and went for a test ride, I noticed the gearing was way off. I tried to fix it using the tutorial provided by the company, but no luck. I had to bring it to a bike shop, and they found out the motor to gearing connection was messed up and the front fork seals were leaking. Total bummer.

    Electric bike with malfunctioning battery

    I bought an electric bike from this company, and the battery went kaput after only 300 miles. When I reached out to customer service, they told me I had to shell out for a new battery because the cells were shot. Super bummed out about it, especially since I forked over a good amount of cash for the bike. I was expecting top-notch quality and service from a company charging this much. I would steer clear of this brand if you're in the market for an electric bike.

    I recently got myself the 5th edition of their popular city bike, and let me tell you, it's been a real headache. When I first got the bike, customer service was pretty good and I was happy with my purchase. But fast forward a few months, and I can't even get a response from their customer service team now. The parts I need are taking forever to get here, and it feels like nobody at that company cares about what I'm going through. I even took it to a shop they recommended, and they've been waiting for a controller for almost three weeks now. I'm super frustrated and let down by the lack of help and support I'm getting. I'm already looking for a new electric bike, and one thing's for sure - it won't be from this brand.

    I'm so frustrated with my recent experience trying to order parts for my electric bike. The customer service was a nightmare. It was ridiculous that they couldn't even identify their own bike from photos! And then, after I gave them my bike model and placed the order, it took them a whole week to ship it out. All they did was stick a Fedex label on the package and that was it. And don't even get me started on emailing them - every time I got a new person responding who seemed clueless. It was a complete disaster!

    RAD Radcity 3 power bike

    Buyer beware- parts may not be available
    I bought (2) RAD bikes last April. The bikes are good quality and we love riding electric bikes. When I received the bikes I noticed one had a defective back fender so I called RAD customer service. I sent pictures and spoke to representatives many times. They agreed to replace it. I have been waiting 9 months as the fender is supposedly on back order but I don't think it will ever arrive. Shortly after I bought the bikes they discontinued the model. I would not have purchased bikes from RAD had I known that parts would not be available on a brand new one. A few months ago, after some prodding they sent me a replacement fender from a different model but it doesn't fit. Now they suggest I go to a local bike shop to see if they can jerry-rig something. Why should I have to jerry-rig my new bike at my own expense that came from the factory with a defective fender?

    Rad Mini 4

    Not the service we hoped for.
    Rad Power Bikes told us they would honor a $100 Rad Power Bikes issued rebate to purchase a bike rack for my Rad Mini 4. They did not. Rad has not had the rack in stock for over 6 months. Our $100 Rad Power Bikes issued rebate was set to expire and still after 6 months, they have had no racks available. They refused to extend the rebate and I was not able as yet to get the rack their lying representative said we could get. I assure you that you cannot trust this company or their staff.

    2018 rad rover

    Was a decent bike until I got a few thousand miles on it. Then things started to fail. The bike quit mid ride and I’ve replaced every electric component but the motor as it’s been in order for over 2 1/2 months. No eta on parts. If you want a good bike and service stick with the name brands and your local bike shop where they can actually get parts and fix your bike. I cannot reccomend this product to anyone due to lack of parts and service

    My Criteria for this bike as that it would require minimum maintenance, Could carry a good sized load. and go over 15 miles distance at 20 mph reliably even when the batteries where getting a little old. That it would work well on pavement as that is where I do 99% of my riding. Finally it needed to be a comfortable ride. The Radrunner is one speed. As I have had ebike for many years I have fund that I rarely use more then one speed. I has high torque maiking it good at hills. It does not have suspension forks which I like as they are not needed or desired unless riding off road or on gravel.
    The bike along with the accessories I wanted to add needed to com under $2000
    The Handle bars have a lot of real estate for adding accessories.
    Having only one speed and no suspension reduces the maintanence.

    Cons
    Soft Start makes is sluggish to start from a stand still. This can not be changed with the stock display
    The headlight is not good for driving at night but will let others see you. Thou thay offer an upgrade
    The display is very minimal and the upgraded display only allows a minmum ability to change parameters.

    The $300 bolton controller upgrade will give it a lot more torque and allow changing parameters such as elmiminating the soft sluggish start with instant start.

    Their customer service is abysmal and is reputed to be the worst in the business. My personal experience has found this to be true. This also makes their warranty all but useless.

    In this price range that are a number of other moped style ebikes that are comparable from companies that have decent customer service which would make it difficult to recommend this bike over their competitors.

    Rad Rover

    I purchased a Rad Rover in 2018. Since this time I have road just over 1000 miles over a variety of surfaces including snow, sand, mud and pavement. Unfortunately, the bike recently stopped showing mph/miles driven. The problem has been progressive as now the display has stopped working and I am no longer able to charge the batter due to it overheating. I contacted the company via email. Almost two weeks later I received a reply to check all the connections which I did. Since this time I have not been able to receive further insight to a potential issue. I have called and emailed.

    Before my recent issues I would have rated the bike at 5/5. I now rate the bike as a 3/5 with a recommendation of not buying the bike due to the absence of support.
