Shirt with melted logo
I recently bought this shirt with a really cool logo on it. But when I washed it and tried to iron it, the logo ended up getting all melted and ruined! So I decided to go back to the store to try and get some help, but the staff there were so not helpful. They didn't want to replace it or anything. Not cool at all, you know what I mean?
Expensive pair of boots
I got these boots last year and after a few weeks, the laces started falling apart. I didn't pay it much mind at first, just replaced them with stronger ones. But recently, one of the lace holders broke off. I tried contacting their customer service, but my messages kept bouncing back as undeliverable. I also sent an email to the only address they gave, but got no response at all. It's really frustrating to see such low quality in the boots, and especially the customer service.
T-shirt price comparison
I've been really into the clothes at this store lately and have bought a bunch of stuff from them. I think their clothes are so awesome and I always get compliments when I wear them. But then I saw the price of the same t-shirt in New Zealand compared to the UK, and it totally blew my mind. The t-shirt in New Zealand is NZ$40, but in the UK it's like £90. I did some quick math and even with taxes and all that jazz, that's just way too expensive. I understand that shipping and everything adds up, but this is just insane! I could maybe understand if it was like £50, but not £90. That's just a total rip off in my opinion.
Military boots made in China
The military boots I bought were pretty nice and stylish, but I was bummed to find out they were actually made in China. I really wish they had been more upfront about that before I bought them. Still, I'm curious to see how they'll last, especially since they cost a pretty penny. I was really hoping for that "made in Italy" label to go with the quality I was hoping for from this brand.
"No Customer Service"
I tried reaching out to this company in every way possible - calling, emailing, and even using live chat. But seriously, their customer service is non-existent. I'm shocked! I went the extra mile by mentioning that I'm a "Gold Member," but still no luck. Like, really? Where's the love?
Three pairs of shorts
I bought three pairs of shorts from the store, but when the order arrived, only two pairs were in the package. The packing list said only two pairs were sent. I paid for all three before they were shipped. When I contacted customer service about the missing pair, they weren't helpful at all. Even though their records showed I was short one pair, they wanted me to send photos and said they had to check with the warehouse. Dealing with this hassle and not getting a clear solution really bummed me out about the whole shopping experience.
Dundedin boots in Chocolate
I just got myself a pair of the Dundedin boots in Chocolate and I gotta say, they really exceeded my expectations. The fit is great and the quality is top-notch. I love how versatile they are - perfect for a casual day with jeans or dress up with some trousers. Considering getting them in different colors now!

While I must admit that the products themselves are seemingly of high quality, I got to know a manager of the store who was always very friendly and nice and would talk to me for an hour at a time. Well, it became a habit of mine to come into the store after work or on my days off to say hello to him and any other employees.
But then he left the store to work somewhere else, and it must've been my mistake to continue to act like a friendly and talkative person to the remaining employees, because after about a week of coming into the store nearly every day after he had left I was banned from the store for "making female employees feel uncomfortable." And I want to be as clear as sunshine here, I said the same exact lines that typical employees would ask me: "How is your day doing?", "Do you have any plans today?", "Are you from around here?"
Then, out of the blue, I come in one day and introduce myself to the new manager. I say "Hi, I'm ----, I'm your previous manager's best customer" and I kid you not she tells me this without any context at all "You're ----? We won't be serving you anymore. You'll have to leave the store right now."
I called and emailed customer service like a dozen times and was told that they're still investigating. Then finally a week later, I was sent an email by the executive manager of Rodd & Gunn to not try to contact any of the employees anymore and not to go into the store. I basically came to the conclusion that the employees here must be seemingly-paranoid and seemingly-delusional to think that me coming in every day to be nice and talk was somehow a form of harassment. I even sent him an email telling him to investigate me, look at surveillance, call other stores that I go into nearly every day, in order to prove that I'm just a nice and respectful person, but he completely dismissed that idea. I even recommended to him that he reach out to provide psychiatric support to these employees.
So it seems to me that if you want to buy from a company that treats customers like they're criminals, then go ahead and buy from this
