Gaming mouse warranty claim
I recently had to reach out to the customer service team about my gaming mouse warranty. This is the fourth time I've had to do this because the mouse wheel keeps failing after about a year. The customer support I got was pretty disappointing. They told me to destroy the faulty mouse before they'd help me with the claim, even though I still needed it. After some arguing, they said I could buy a new mouse first and then destroy the old one for a refund. Simple, right? Nope. The mouse I wanted was out of stock, and despite them saying it would be back in a week, it never was. In the end, I was just left frustrated with no solution. It's just sad to see a company not respecting basic consumer rights and putting unnecessary stress on its customers.
Headset RMA process
I had a pretty frustrating experience dealing with customer service for my headset. I only had it for 9 months when the mute button stopped working. I reached out to the company by email, and they wanted a 30-second video showing the problem. I get that they need proof, but it felt like overkill just for a little button issue. Then they asked for a receipt and photos of the headset, even needing the serial number.
Gaming headset
I just got a new gaming headset from this company and I gotta say, I had a pretty good experience with their customer support. The reps were nice and really helped me out with my questions. But, I was kinda bummed to find out about their super strict replacement rules. It's not cool that they don't offer repairs and make customers either break the device or have them do it. That just seems really harsh and not very good for the environment. As a customer, I care about being eco-friendly and I really hope SteelSeries will think about changing their policies to be more sustainable.
Faulty keyboard
I was really disappointed with this keyboard. At first it worked fine, but then out of nowhere it just stopped altogether. I tried messing with the cables, and it started working again, but only for a month before the same problem came back. It was really frustrating to have a keyboard that was so unreliable, especially when all my other devices worked perfectly fine in the same ports.
Gaming headset
I picked up a headset about a year ago and I'm still loving it! The battery life is really good and the microphone works perfectly for gaming. Plus, I love that they also donate to charity - that's really awesome. I'm a big fan of both the products and the brand overall, they're just amazing!
TUSQ in-ear gaming headset
I was super pumped to get my hands on the TUSQ in-ear gaming headset, but man, the delivery was a total disaster. They never dropped it off at my place, so I had to dish out for a taxi just to snag it. And seriously, SteelSeries using UPS? Not cool. Then, I had to shell out extra cash for customs fees to get it from Denmark to Norway, like 400kr worth. No way I'll be buying from them again. And let me tell ya, the TUSQ headset was a major letdown. It was painful to wear, I couldn't even get into my gaming with that level of discomfort. Total bummer.
Small keyboard with outdated software
I got this keyboard because I thought it would be awesome since it's compact and brand new, but it turned out to be a major letdown. The Macro Editor isn't helpful at all because you can't actually edit anything, just record on top of it. It feels like they didn't even bother to make the software more user-friendly. I mean, who wants to deal with outdated scripting or coding nowadays? Even though the keyboard is supposed to be the latest model, it feels like it's outdated already, and I've only had it for a month. I really wish I had known about these issues before I made the purchase.
Recent Arctic 5 purchase.
I recently bought the Arctic 5 headset and I was really let down. The chat mix function broke after just a short time. I was expecting better quality for the price. I suggest avoiding these products because they don't seem to hold up well over time.
Keyboard purchase
I recently bought a new keyboard and gotta say, typing on it is super comfy. It looks really sleek and clean when it's plugged in, but it does seem a little dim when it's not active. That's a small downside. I really like the extra features though, like the volume scroll and extra buttons that make the whole user experience better. Even though it was a bit pricier, I think it's totally worth it for how well it works and how good it looks. One thing I've noticed is that fingerprints show up pretty easily on the keys, which can be annoying to clean. But overall, the good stuff about it - especially for gaming - definitely outweighs that issue. The app that comes with it is also really handy, although I think it could use some tweaks to make it even better to use.
Customer Support Experience
I've reached out to customer support twice in the last month, and I gotta say, they really came through both times. Even though the products I bought had some fancy features that needed special software, the support team helped me out right away. They were on top of things when I had questions about my order and why certain stuff wasn't working right. With their assistance, everything got sorted out smoothly.
Headset purchase
I just bought a headset from a nearby store and had some problems with it after only two days. I reached out to customer support through their chatbot and was happy with how fast and helpful they were. Even though I had seen some bad reviews, everything went really well for me. The person I talked to from support was friendly and funny, which made things more fun. The warranty stuff was kind of long, but it was clear and didn't take away from how good my experience was. I'd give it a 4.5 out of 5.
New free headset
My headset broke, so I reached out for a replacement. SteelSeries took forever to respond to my warranty claim, but once I commented on Trustpilot, they finally sent me a new one at no cost.
Wireless headset durability
I bought a wireless headset and man, it went downhill fast. Within a year, the volume and balance knobs got all wobbly and have only gotten worse with time. The microphone gooseneck snapped with barely any bending, and the power button's silk screen rubbed off super fast. All in all, this headset was a huge letdown in terms of durability and definitely didn't live up to my expectations for a long-lasting product.
Arctis Pro headset
I was so pumped to finally try out the Arctis Pro headset, especially because I've always been a fan of SteelSeries headsets. But let me tell you, I was pretty disappointed this time around. After less than a year of using it, the plastic connection between the headband and the earpieces actually cracked, and the right earpiece straight up fell off. Seriously? Now I'm having to MacGyver it together with some hot glue while I try to figure out my next move. Not cool, SteelSeries, not cool at all.
New headset order
I bought a new headset on the 5th, but it didn't ship until the 11th. I just got an email with the tracking number, and it's supposed to arrive on the 16th. I can't wait to see my son's reaction when he sees it. Thanks for everything, I know this time of year is chaotic. Merry Christmas! ?
Recent headset purchase
I just got this new headset and I gotta say, the quality is top-notch. The sound is amazing and it's super comfy to wear. Plus, the design looks really cool and fits perfectly with my gaming gear. And let me tell you, the customer service was outstanding. They knew their stuff, they were really helpful, and they did everything they could to make sure I was happy. I'm really happy with my purchase from this company.
Arctis Nova Pro Wireless Headset
The audio settings for my Arctis Nova Pro Wireless headset keep resetting, which seems to be a common problem according to other users online. Even though lots of people have complained about this issue, the company hasn't done anything to fix it yet. I just bought this headset, and I'm really bummed that I can't have a smooth audio experience. After dealing with this, I think I should look into other brands that have better customer service. It's annoying that SteelSeries doesn't even have a phone number for customer support, which makes it hard to get help with these kinds of problems.
Wireless headphones and Arctis 7p
I was a bit unsure at first because of some bad reviews, but I decided to go for it and bought a pair of wireless headphones about a year and a half ago. There was a small issue with a missing item, but the customer service team took care of it quickly by sending me a replacement. Their fast and helpful response really left me impressed. This positive experience motivated me to buy another pair of Arctis 7p headphones recently, and once again, I'm really happy with the product. The sound quality is great, the design is cool and comfy, and it's even better than I expected overall. SteelSeries has definitely made me a happy and loyal customer.
Headset purchase
The headset I got from SteelSeries is seriously the best one I've ever had. The product quality is amazing, and the sound is just incredible. But, I ran into a problem with my Bluetooth transmitter not linking up with the headset. So, I shot an email over to customer service and got a quick reply. I sent over my receipt, and in just a few hours, they sent me a code for a replacement part. Their aftercare was so fast and effective, it really blew me away. I can't find a single thing to complain about. It's so nice to get such top-notch products and service in this day and age. One very satisfied customer here.
Noise-canceling headphones gift
When I was looking for noise-canceling headphones to give my husband as a gift, I found this product and decided to try it out. My friends and family recommended it, so I went ahead and bought it. I was a bit worried at first about whether the headphones would be comfy enough for my husband to wear all day since he's a remote teacher and spends hours in virtual classrooms. The microphone quality and noise cancellation feature were also really important for his job. Luckily, he was super happy with the headphones, especially with the custom drivers that make his gaming experience even better. In the end, I really love this product and would definitely recommend it to anyone who needs high-quality headphones.
