    Online music lessons

    The online music lessons I'm taking are really great, and I've been loving the experience so far. But there are a few things that could use some improvement. With the whole pandemic situation, I get that businesses might be short-staffed, including this one. I think the surge in new sign-ups from everyone being stuck at home could be part of the problem. Also, it seems like some customers don't quite understand how auto-renewal works, even though it's pretty common for online subscriptions. Personally, I had no trouble finding the auto-renewal option in my account settings and turned it off right away. Plus, if you're paying with a credit card, you always have the option to dispute charges if you think you've been billed incorrectly, which gives you some extra protection.

    I've heard some folks talk about how they don't like the automatic renewal setup, but man, the lessons and stuff you get on this platform are top-notch. I've taken a bunch of online courses and let me tell ya, they're really well-done. Even the basic courses are great for beginners, although you can find similar ones elsewhere. And being able to watch lessons from famous artists? That's a whole other level of learning, let me tell you. So yeah, if you can handle the cancellation process, I'd say the classes on offer here are definitely worth it.

    I started taking blues guitar lessons with Keith Wyatt, and I gotta tell you, he's an amazing teacher. The lessons were tough, but I learned a ton while I was studying with him. Unfortunately, I had to stop for a bit because of personal stuff, but now I'm back at it with jazz guitar lessons from Dave Stryker. The video feedback system is really cool and helpful, especially for online lessons. I really like how challenging the lessons are, they work for both beginners like me and more advanced players too. Can't wait to keep learning and improving!

    Taking piano lessons with Zachary has been incredible. He's a fantastic teacher who really knows what he's talking about. I've already learned a ton from him and have seen a big improvement in how I play. His teaching style is clear and easy to follow, and he's always encouraging and supportive. I'm thrilled with how much I've progressed with his guidance. The platform is easy to use and has a lot of helpful resources for my musical journey. All in all, I'm really happy with how things are going so far.

    While trying to find extra resources for my son's jazz piano lessons, I came across a website that mentioned well-known musicians like John Patitucci. I was curious, so I looked more into what the website had to offer and what people were saying about it. Unfortunately, I found some complaints about shady business practices. Even though the teachers seemed really good, the lack of professionalism in how the website was run made me hesitant. I don't feel right supporting a platform that might not prioritize honesty in everything they do, even if the teachers are top-notch. So, I've decided to check out other options for my son's music education.

    I just dealt with a problem where my auto-renewal got canceled on my account. I signed up for two courses and made sure to turn off the auto-renewal right away. But even though I double-checked that it was off, I still got hit with the full price charge on the renewal date. It seems like there might have been some website updates that messed with how account info is shown, causing a mix-up. Luckily, I contacted customer service and they fixed the issue by giving me a refund for the charge that shouldn't have happened.

    Singing and guitar lessons

    The singing and guitar lessons I got were awesome. Michael Daves knows how to teach in a way that's easy to understand and actually helps you get better. I liked that he didn't waste time with small talk, just got straight to work. The videos and interviews with other musicians were a cool bonus that made the whole experience even better. It's obvious that Michael is a really good teacher who knows how to bring out the best in his students.

    Misleading subscription renewal

    The course itself was pretty good, but the whole experience got messed up because of their tricky subscription renewal deal. I stopped caring about the course and then out of nowhere, my credit card got hit with a $180 charge months later. When I contacted customer service, all they gave me was a basic answer about how they automatically renew subscriptions to keep the learning going without a pause. It felt shady and didn't sit right with me. I get that they need to remind people about renewals, but doing it without a heads up is not cool. I should get to decide if I want to renew, especially if I'm not even using the service. It seems like they're trying to sneak in another subscription without customers realizing it.

    Wasted money

    I made the mistake of buying a subscription to an online music learning platform, thinking it would help me get better at playing. But it turned out to be a waste of money. The stuff on there wasn't great and didn't teach me what I needed. I felt tricked into buying something that wasn't worth it.

    And when I reached out to customer service, they weren't helpful either. Their responses felt fake and didn't solve my problems. I was frustrated and felt like my concerns weren't being heard.

    On top of that, the subscription was too expensive for what it offered. I felt like I paid too much for what I got.

    The online courses were a pain too. There were technical problems that kept getting in the way of me learning and progressing.

    Overall, I wouldn't recommend this platform to anyone trying to improve their musical skills. It was a letdown that made me feel like I wasted my money and time.

    Disappointing video exchanges

    I'm disappointed that I didn't get any feedback on the videos I sent in. I've been waiting for weeks, and even months, and no one has responded. It's really frustrating because this was supposed to be one of the main reasons I chose this platform. I decided to switch to Jamplay and Truefire for better online music lessons with more valuable content.

    Banjo online courses

    I really love the banjo courses, they're awesome! Noam Pikelny is such a great teacher and I'm learning a lot about playing the banjo from him. The website is really outdated though, it's a struggle to navigate. I wish they would create an app for my iPad. I accidentally got roped into auto-renewing my subscription for another year, even though I haven't even used it in forever! That's not cool at all.

    I just want to warn folks looking into signing up for this platform, even though the teachers are good. You really need to be cautious because if you forget to cancel, your subscription will renew for another 3 months. They make it clear in the terms and conditions, so it's on you if you miss it.     The instructor knew their stuff and the course material was good, but I was annoyed when I got feedback on my video submission at the very last minute, so I couldn't even check it out because my membership had already expired. On top of that, it was frustrating that customer service didn't respond to my questions, which made me feel like they didn't really care about me as a customer.

    It can be really annoying when you're visiting a company's website and it just turns into a mess of confusion, right? Especially when you're trying to figure out how to cancel something or get a refund. It kind of feels like they just want you to give up and keep forking over your money. And don't even get me started on the lack of customer support once they've got your cash. Those generic responses they send can totally make you feel like they're trying to steer you away from the real problems. It's a bummer that more and more negative reviews are popping up, but I guess it's not that shocking with the subpar service and sneaky tactics they're using.
