I’m honestly surprised—after a stupid move and my back acting up, I booked FYT because I’d had bad trainers before and didn’t want another waste of time. The first phone consult felt oddly like a real session, in a good way—coach listened, tweaked a few moves I’d been doing wrong, and I could tell they knew what they were doing. The workouts are easy to follow, they feel solid, not flashy, and my back started feeling looser after a couple of weeks. Scheduling was a bit clunky at times and there was a billing hiccup that took some back-and-forth, but the trainer stuck with me and kept everything practical. Would recommend if you want something that actually helps.
Morning coffee, last-minute chaos
"Client booked in 20 hours" — uh, that was my first clue something had changed. I've been training folks for 8+ years and use this site to pick up odd gigs between school runs and grocery runs, not as my whole life. Most of the time it's fine, quiet, whatever. This time though I had to wait over two weeks to get paid — first rep shrugged, second rep fiddled, third rep finally sorted it. Honestly, I was relieved (really, bills still needed paying), so shout-out for that. But then another client popped up on super short notice and a rep started harassing me for not replying "fast enough" while I was on vacation — felt like being scolded for breathing. So yeah, payment eventually arrived (thankfully), but the stress and the random policy changes without a heads-up made me tell them to unlist me. Mixed bag: grateful money came through, annoyed at the rest.
Worth a real shot
Bottom line — I’d recommend Find Your Trainer. I was honestly skeptical at first, but it turned out to be a solid place to pick up real clients without paying for nonsense. I’m a trainer in California and I’d used a few of the big lead sites before. Some were okay. Some felt like throwing money at mystery leads. That’s what made me try this one. The surprise? The leads here were actually from people who wanted to train, not bots or recycled emails. I didn’t expect that.
Kinda messy but ended up okay
I almost gave up after the first day. Picked a trainer for in-home sessions and thought I was set. Then he emailed saying he had no availability, and still I saw a charge — weird, right? I called customer support and they were slow at first, but one rep actually stuck with me and promised a credit. That took longer than I expected. I tried a second trainer who said he doesn’t do in-home and that he’s on the road half the time, so no steady schedule. Frustrating. The billing mix-up is the worst part — don’t like surprises on my card. On the bright side, after some back-and-forth someone finally refunded one of the charges and a different trainer offered a flexible schedule and a free trial session to make up for it. That was honestly a nice surprise. So yeah, the system could use clearer availability info and faster billing fixes. But once you find the right trainer, the sessions themselves were great and the platform has potential. Would use again, just more carefully next time.
Training session disappointment
I had a really bad experience with a few different trainers on this service. The first one said the distance was too much, the second never responded to my emails, and the third was just plain unprofessional. I joined this platform as a trainer more than a year ago with the goal of meeting clients and expanding my business. I have a strong background and lots of experience in the fitness industry, and I even got some professional headshots taken to boost my profile. However, I haven't gotten any clients or inquiries since signing up. The support team takes forever to get back to me and their advice hasn't been useful. It's been a total waste of my time and money.

Efficient training program
I have to admit, at first I had my doubts about the slower pace of this training program. I was used to faster workouts with other trainers in the past. But you know what? I thought the training session with my trainer was really good, so I went ahead and bought 8 more sessions. But things got tricky when I tried to book those sessions. I had to go through the company's concierge service instead of just talking to my trainer directly. It was a pain because it made it really hard to schedule sessions for the same day and time. I wish they had told me from the start that I'd have to go through the concierge. My trainer was great and knew their stuff, but not being able to talk to them directly about scheduling was a letdown.

The website is seriously like a maze. It's so frustrating and confusing to find what you're looking for. I spent such a long time just trying to book a session or find a trainer. Thankfully, David was really friendly and helped me out. But, geez, they really need to improve their website.

My trainer was awesome, but the way things are run at the company is pretty sketchy. It's annoying that there's no easy way to cancel your subscription online. You have to hunt around in the FAQs to get an email address and then sit around waiting for a response. This whole lack of transparency and convenience is a real turn off for me.

I think Find Your Trainer is a great tool for finding and booking trainers, but I feel like the website could be even better with a few more features. It would be really nice if they added an easy way to cancel subscriptions and the option to either have packages auto-renew or buy them as a one-time purchase. Right now, subscriptions renew automatically and it can be a pain to contact FYT to cancel. Also, sometimes trainers don't keep their info up to date, like their availability and travel options. It would be awesome if FYT could remind trainers every so often to update their profiles to make sure everything is accurate.
