    TransUnion: Average Credit Reporting Service

    As a customer of TransUnion, I have had a mixed experience with the company. On one hand, their online tools and resources have been helpful in managing my credit information and monitoring for any suspicious activity. However, I have had some issues with their customer service and the accuracy of their information.

    One instance that stands out was when I noticed an error on my credit report that had been reported by TransUnion. I contacted their customer service to have it corrected, but it took several attempts and a lot of back-and-forth before the issue was finally resolved.

    Another issue I have had is that I was not able to find the option for freezing my credit report on their website. I had to call customer service for assistance, and even then, it was not a straightforward process.

    Additionally, I have also noticed that the credit score they provide is not always in line with scores from other credit reporting agencies.

    Overall, I appreciate the convenience of being able to access my credit information and monitor it online, but I have had some frustrations with their customer service and the accuracy of the information they provide. If you are considering using TransUnion, I would recommend being prepared for the possibility of encountering similar issues.

    Credit monitoring and freeze lifting

    My experience with this company has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. Their website is always acting up, which makes it super hard to find important info like the status of a credit freeze. This has been going on for three whole years, showing that they really don't care about their customers. It seems like whenever I try to tell them about these problems, they just ignore me. They can't seem to fix anything quickly. In contrast, dealing with Equifax and Experian is a breeze compared to this. Every time I try to lift a freeze temporarily, it takes way too long - over an hour. The whole process is so inefficient and not user-friendly, it really makes me wonder if they know what they're doing.

    Misinformation from bank

    I didn't even request their service, but they somehow got my info from my bank, which was totally wrong. I'm a registered voter and always vote, but they had all the wrong details. When I asked them to fix it, they wouldn't own up to their mistake and told me to go through the hassle of proving it with documentation from the local council. Like, seriously? That's just absurd and so aggravating.

    Free credit report

    I tried to get my free credit report and got stuck paying 25 bucks for some monitoring service. I was totally baffled, like why do they need my credit card info if it's supposed to be free, come on! Luckily, I called them and straightened out that mess. Just make sure you're on the right site for your free report, don't do what I did!

    New current account credit rating downgrade

    I recently saw a big drop in my credit score right after I switched to a new bank for my checking account. Even though I used the account switching service and closed out my old account pretty quickly, my credit score didn't bounce back like I thought it would. It was annoying to see that my old account, which had an overdraft option I never even touched, had a better credit score than my new account that didn't have an overdraft. This whole thing has me doubting how accurate and dependable these credit rating agencies really are. It felt like my score was just randomly decided and didn't really reflect my actual financial situation at all.

    I've been so frustrated trying to get into my account with this company. I've answered all the security questions right, but for years now, I can't log in because they say there's a problem with the information I've given. It's just unbelievable to me that I can't access my account because I forgot some login details.

    Incorrect information, responsibility misallocation, credit score damage

    As a customer, I've been dealing with a problem lately when it comes to the info that the company gave me. They're saying I missed paying my gas bill when it's actually the fault of a tenant who's been in my property for a while. Because of this mistake, my credit score took a hit even though it used to be perfect. Now I have to spend my time and energy fixing this mess, which is annoying and a hassle.

    My experience with this company was super frustrating. I tried to ask about my credit report, but the customer service people were unhelpful and downright rude.     I was so bummed out that I shelled out some cash thinking I was getting all three of my credit scores, but I only got my TransUnion credit report and score. The ad totally led me on and I felt like I got played into buying something.

    Credit score evaluation

    The company just doesn't seem to know how to handle credit scores properly. They actually lower your score for doing things that are responsible, like paying off your credit card on time, which goes against their own rules. It doesn't really make sense to expect people to improve their credit when the company in charge of it is working against them. I think this problem might be more common with the free memberships as a way to push people to upgrade to paid ones. The fact that they don't seem to care about their actions is concerning and shows that there needs to be stricter rules in this industry. Even though government involvement isn't always the best option, it might be necessary to stop companies like this from taking advantage of consumers. It might be a good idea to try reaching out to consumer protection agencies for legal help, but based on past cases like Equifax, the outcome is uncertain.
