I bought 2 warranties on different dates-I eventually canceled today after this...one was for my middle school son several months after my own one...I sent him the referral link and he used it but they wouldn't honor the referral so I called them because they had sent him emails too. That's where the beatdown and accusations began saying me and my son are the same people by David C. I allow my son access to Paypal and as the Tablet I bought him was a Christmas present he purchased it. Just because I allowed him access to my account doesn't make us the same people and when I told them via email it was for a friend, not my son David C. convoluted that was me-I didn't want to drag my son into as he's only 13 and btw we are friends too. David C. starting telling me about thousands who try to do multiple referrals to gain a monetary advantage and had already errantly grouped me into that category in tone and attitude even after I explained didn't want son involved if possible but he was very abrasive so I ended up canceling both my son's and my warranty after this as I am the customer and didn't appreciate the way this was handled and would rather have no extended warranty on my Cell Phone and his Tablet than to be told you're lying 3-4 times even after being told by David it would be taken care of in email in his initial response only to call me while I'm working and give me his suspicions and abrasive attitude and mentioned I was being unethical and lying…ugh!!! Good riddance and back to Squaretrade and will never use Upsie ("Upside downsies" ) ever again!!!!!!
Purchased warranty in September 2020 and attempted to file a claim in January 2021. Was told that their system didn't show my policy. However on their app all the info was available. I was told that I made a mistake when purchased the policy and needed to pay an additional fee. After paying the additional fee It took a full week to get this matter resolved. Once I arrived at their approved repair center, it took almost 2 hours to get the necessary claim info forwarded to repair center and get repair started. Do yourself a favor and shop else where. Lost time and lots of aggravation is not worth the few bucks you save.
Very bad customer service.This company is a SCAM. I have been behind them to get my phone claim processed for the past 2 months. Still not resolution. I already sent the phone for repair twice. When i contacted their corporate on twitter. They blocked me. Stay away from this company.
I have a valid laptop warranty with Upsie. Recently, I reported my very first claim under this warranty since my laptop screen was broken. I reported it online. Since I didn't receive any update on the claim, I called them up to talk to a customer care representative and provided him all the details. I thought my claim will be in process but when I didn't receive any update from them, I again called them up to check the status. This time customer care executive told me they need more information. So I patched my wife on the call since laptop was in her possession during the accident. She provided them the exact details about the accident that the laptop was dropped while she was tripped over the wire. They said we deny this claim since there is a change of story. I asked them many times, how can it be a change of story, the warranty is in my wife's same, laptop was in her possession so she would know what has happened to the laptop. They didn't accept. And in the call, customer care executive was so rude that we were surprised how he is doing customer facing job. I am so disappointed and regret why did I purchase warranty from Upsie. I should have considered a better provider like Square Trade or Assurance.
