    Potted Hanging Plant

    I ordered a hanging plant as a mother's day gift. It arrived on time. However, neither the plant or soil was in the planter when it arrived and the plant was badly damaged. Customer service was very responsive and they sent a 2nd plant out which arrived today. Unfortunately, in the same condition. The plant was no longer in the ... and had been badly damaged from bouncing around in the box in transit. There were no longer blooms on the flowering plant. This company exists to sell plants online, I would think that they would have mastered the packaging of these plants so that they would arrive at their destination undamaged. Since they failed at this twice, I will not be purchasing anything else from this company.

    Terrible customer service. No phone support. Only email contact. Their ads lie: (shipment in 4 -6 days, delivery for valentines day, both untrue). 10 days and no plant and no clue as to when it will ship. 2 days to respond to an email.

    2 Dracaena trees that cost $195 each!

    I have never had a problem with bloomscape but both trees arrived in bad bad shape. My lemon lime was full of smashed and broken leaves which was not “normal wear and tear” since I only had it an hour. My other dracaena arrived in a smashed and destroyed box, which made the tree broken and smashed the whole side of the tree. I’m pretty sure I ordered a whole tree. Oh wait, 2 trees each $195. AND the smashed dracaena had bugs! The leaves browned and started to die within days. I emailed and sent pictures of both trees and nothing! One email asking for pictures which I had already sent! So I sent them all again and then again proving there were bugs. I am thoroughly disgusted and writing the BBB. I want my money back. Smashed half dead trees with bugs are not wear and tear! They should be ashamed. Long time customer gone! Pathetic and sad business ethics, even though they claim a 30 day warranty. Liars!

    OMG OMG --- do NOT NOT NOT order from this company! If there were negative stars to grade them, I would have used them on Service and Delivery. They are quick to run the charge on your card and then they abandon you with delayed responses to emails and continued requests for information regarding anticipated shipping. They avoided my requests for an anticipated ship date and told me they were experiencing delays. Then I get an updated email telling me that my order will continued being delayed. I responded and asked for a full refund, but was directed to another link to request my money back. YOU WILL NEVER see your plant and hope to God I do get my money back. Total rip off and very suspicious.

    Lots of plants

    Plants I received in year 2021 did not match the pictures or descriptions in the Bloomscape web site. Much smaller and way fewer leaves. Most were dead or dying. I've sent messages and photos via their web site, and have never received a response or refund. There's no way to call - they have no number listed on their site (probably for that reason). Also the plants had lots of gnats, but that's the least of the problems. I'll never buy from them again, and advise against anyone doing so.

    Jody, thanks so much for writing this review. I feel validated! I ordered several plants from Bloomscape last year, and they were huge, healthy, and were shipped promptly. This year, the plants I have ordered were not even half the size, and mine also had gnats. I should know better than to order anything from a company who does not offer a phone number. They respond to emails when they feel like it, which is sometimes never. Sometimes they will respond in a few days, but they never resolve any issues. It is clear that they are on a mission to improve their profitability, but they are doint that at the expense of losing good customers. Stupid, short-term thinking, @bloomscape

    Birthday gifts

    All 3 plants have the insect GNATS, The insects’ eggs are color white and were planted and mixed in soil so they’ve accumulated and have become such a nuisance each time after hatching. Other than being 4 weeks delayed in delivery the packing was done poorly that my plants were bent and some leaves have fallen off:-( such a big big waste of money, This is a bad experience and discovery that these gnats insects can be such a pest and were delivered right into my home. ☹️

    Money Tree + Tough Stuff Collection

    What a disappointment! My first introduction to Bloomscape was my sister first sending me the trailing succulent trio….trailing is the operative word, as they were 2 months late and all three were damaged. I was able to salvage the banana. (barely) We chalked it up to the weather and the pandemic and UPS and my sister got a credit. Yay Bloomscape! (Except, I’m not thinking it’s so much the UPS’s fault anymore!...keep reading)
    I ordered a money tree after that incident as I was so excited to start ‘junglefying’ my space…but it arrived rotten. Root rot and leaf rot that stunk up the house so bad, I was ready to throw it in the garbage just to get the odiferous toxins out! But I didn’t…what I did do, was remove it from the pot to find copious amounts of root rot so I had to debride it. Then, the stench was coming from the yellow mushy leaves and stems. I have currently dried it out, pruned it back to bald stems and repotted it. Not sure if it will make it or not. (150.00 plus 24.00 of my own potting soil (2 bags!)
    Then I received the ‘tough stuff order’ and, am again, am just amazed at how they stay in business. The only one that appears salvageable is the Hoya, and that is also completely over watered and I'm considering removing it from it's pot as well to assess the rot damage. I did have to remove the ZZ plant only to find brown mushy roots and rhizomes. 5 crammed into a 4" pot. I dried them out overnight, and repotted in 2 different pots. And lastly, the Sansevieria is currently held up together by a stake and piece of clothes line rope tied in a bow. I hope it makes it. I'm done with Bloomscape!

    3 plants - issues with all

    Their website is user friendly and informative, and the ordering process was a breeze. Shipping materials are eco-friendly. Customer service was responsive. But that is about it. The plants were all poor quality or damaged on arrival (not from shipment, but clearly already bad pre-shipment) and way overpriced for what you get.

    I ordered 3 plants - large dracaena, large bamboo palm and small peperomia. I got the last two after I received credit for the dracaena - one of the stalks rotted and died (thankfully the other two are now thriving after some initial issues too). And then received a refund on the peperomia, as it arrived damaged (the leaves had chunks out of them and tears). I should have also complained about the bamboo palm, considering it was also showing bad signs straight out of the box - about half of the fronds were crisp dry and it's been downhill since. Not sure it can be saved (the soil they used is much too dense for it, not well-draining, and the issues clearly started before it even arrived to me).

    Extremely disappointed and will not be purchasing from them again, and wouldn't recommend to others. Too expensive and the quality has been consistently bad. Thankfully the local florists have opened back up and I've been able to get healthy, thriving plants since, as well as continue to propagate my own. It's telling that the plants I got from Bloomscape have been my only problem plants.

    Prayer Plant

    I gave in to the bougie, classy website; I gave in to all the beautiful pictures of the plants and the happy people holding them; I gave in completely to the easy ordering, crossed my fingers, and bought a plant online. I learned my lesson though- plants left in a box for 10 days or so and left to the whims of delivery people will show up looking like it. I don't know what I expected when I took out my plant, but for the money I paid it was truly not worth it. I wish desperately that I had the sense to read reviews before ordering, but the pretty pictures got to me before I could use some common sense. I will be telling everyone I know who may be interested in this company to take 10 seconds to read reviews before they make a purchase.

    POSITIVES: 1. Ordering was easy -- the website is well organized with useful information about the plant accompanied by nice pictures.
    2. The time it took to receive the plant wasn't so bad either (about 10 days).
    But the negatives outweigh the positives.

    NEGATIVES: 1. The plant came infested with fungus gnats. I have a toddler at home so have been very careful to keep my apartment clean and bug free. I live in a new apartment and for the year we've been here have never had any bug problems. I started seeing a couple fly around and thought nothing of it and then when I was watering the plant for the first time about 10 days after it arrived I noticed tiny white crawlies on the soil. And about two weeks after watering the gnats are everywhere. The yellow sticky traps I set up on the soil are covered with gants and they are driving me crazy. I have been at war with gnats all holiday season!
    2. The plant came in a wrong pot color. I ordered charcoal but got the white one. It wasn't a huge deal but I was a bit annoyed. When I mentioned it to customer service they said they would send me the right pot so that I could move the plant later on. But then they only sent the saucer which was super annoying. I inquired again and Bloomscape will be sending me the pot again.. hopefully this time they get it right.
    3. The plant came with scarred leaves with cuts here and there. While this could have occurred during the 10 day trip via UPS, I suspect not all leaves were damaged solely from the trip.

    I got this plant to add some life and green into the apartment. I got more than I bargained for with a colony of gnats. I will never buy from Bloomscape again.

    Buy locally. Bloomscape is an over marketed, scam of a company selling sad looking plats with a zero return policy. Beyond the barely alive, pathetic looking plants that arrived, the pots they’re in are cheap, chinese plastic. Do not believe the hype or great marketing. It’s a waste of money. $105 wasted.

    Scindapsus Silver Satin

    One word for my two Satin Scindapsus - PATHETIC. Both arrived dried out completely, limp and wilted. The plants cost $32 each and were the size of my small fist - nothing like what was advertised on their website. My two plants consisted of single cuttings that looked hacked to death. No way was it a small lush vining plant. I have repotted them into my own pots in hopes that they will thrive and become the plants I was hoping for.

    I will never do business with Bloomscape again and can not in good faith recommend them.

    Spider plant replaced by birdsnest fern

    I received the the spider plant in very bad shape. They kindly replaced it with a birds nest fern, which was supposed to travel better. It was received in better shape, but not much. Very disappointed in quality. I expected better for the price. Will not purchase from bloomscape again

    Absolutely awful. I placed an order for a $195 dollar Bird of paradise on the 23 April- I have not received and not received any notifications on the delay. I have been emailing them for over a month- my gut feeling is that the business is suffering from a cash flow crunch and just taking orders hoping to stay afloat. I am concerned that I will not be refunded for my purchase so I would caution against buying from them and parting with your hard earned money.

    Parlor Palm (medium)

    I have had two very positive experiences with Bloomscape, and one — current — very negative one. Positive: Beautiful medium plant I requested as a gift; three small plants I ordered for myself. All perfection. Current order: medium sized parlor palm, and I had planned other orders as well. PROBLEM: Current order 5/7/2020. It is now 5/23, and I have not even received a tracking number. Cannot look up tracking number because they are “not available.” Managed to send in a query a week ago, but no response. Not sure it went through. Tried again today: impossible! It says information is missing though I filled out form in great detail. Missing information appears to be a photograph of the plant — which never arrived!! The charge certainly showed up on my Visa, though. And now I will have to dispute it, and I love (or loved) this company! If they can’t keep it going during this crisis, they should not be taking orders.

    Prickly pear, philodendron velvet & tradescantia

    Placing the order was easy and exciting. The philodendron and tradescantia zebrinia arrives wilted and with several broken leaves. The prickly pear arrived completely wilted, I'd say almost if not dead (still working on trying to get it to stand)
