Vinyl pool liner
I bought a vinyl pool liner not too long ago and needed some help figuring out how to measure my pool for it. I hadn't done something like that before, so I reached out to customer service for some guidance. They connected me with someone who was really helpful and walked me through the measurement steps over email. After sending pictures of my pool back and forth, I was able to measure everything correctly and order the right liner. I finally put the liner in, and it fits like a glove! I just wanted to say thanks for the help I got while ordering the liner.
Pool pump replacement
I bought a replacement pool pump from this company not too long ago and at first I was happy with the price and how quickly it was delivered. But then, after just two months, the pump broke down on me. I decided to contact their customer service on a Saturday night and to my surprise, they got back to me the very next day. They even gave me a FedEx return label and easy instructions for sending the broken pump back. As soon as I dropped it off at FedEx, they sent out a replacement right away. In just a week's time, I had a brand new pump installed and working like a charm. I was really impressed with how fast and efficient they were.
Pool heater purchase
So, I ended up getting this really cool gas pool heater and it was honestly awesome. Not like mind-blowingly amazing, but pretty good. And the best part? It was way cheaper than other places, which is great for me since I’m all about saving money. I ordered it on a Friday and it arrived super quick on Tuesday, talk about fast delivery! Overall, I’m really satisfied with my purchase.
Skimmer purchase
I just bought a skimmer from this shop recently. So, turns out they sent me the wrong one. Bummer, right? But hey, gotta give credit where it's due - their customer service was top-notch. The person I talked to was super nice and gave me clear instructions on how to return the skimmer. I was actually quite impressed with how quickly they responded about sorting out the return. They promised me a refund and said it'll happen in 48-72 hours. Despite the mix-up, the customer service really stood out to me.
Wrong order received, hassle with return and additional cost.
I recently bought something from this company and it was a total disaster, like, from start to finish. I got my order and it was totally wrong. So then I had to call customer service, wait for a return receipt, and find a Fed Ex store to send back the wrong stuff. And then on top of that, they charged me an extra $10.00 for the return shipping. Like, seriously? Why all this unnecessary drama? Now they still owe me $10.00 for the return shipping. Can someone just tell me when I'm getting my money back so I can move on with my life? All I wanted was some PH powder.
Pool pump purchase
I recently bought a pool pump from Doheny's, and man, it was a nightmare. I ordered a specific model, but they sent me the wrong one. I called customer service to cancel, but they said it was already on its way. When I got the pump, I called to return it, but they said I had to pay for shipping. This whole thing has been so frustrating, I won't shop there again. The only good thing was that it came quickly, so I'll give them 2 stars.
Hayward pool pump
I needed to get a new pool pump real quick but couldn't find one anywhere nearby or online. Doheny's had the best price and fastest delivery out of all the places I checked. I placed my order on a Thursday afternoon and got it by Saturday morning.
Sand filter and start-up kit
I gotta say, the person I talked to when I ordered was really helpful and knew their stuff. The delivery came right on time and everything was packaged up real nice. But then, a few days later, when I had a tech question about the tank setup, it kinda sucked to find out that the customer service team couldn't help me out because of language problems. It's super frustrating when you're in a jam and can't get the help you need because of communication issues. Doheny's definitely needs more folks on the team who can answer those tech questions like pros.
Pump Return
Man, I gotta tell you, I was so frustrated when I had to give back that stupid pump. It was a pain in the neck, and I was really stressing about getting my cash back. But, surprise surprise, customer service totally came through for me! They reached out, gave me a refund, and saved the day. I gotta hand it to them, Doheny's really knocked my socks off with their customer support. Thank you so much!
Pool pump and filter purchase
The pool pump and filter came pretty quickly, just 3 days after I ordered them. But man, the instructions they gave me were seriously lacking. I tried calling for help, but the folks on the phone didn't quite get what I was talking about. It would be so much better if they included more pictures in the manuals, so the support team could use them to help us out.
Winter Pool Cover
This company, oh my God, is the absolute worst! Can you believe I bought a winter pool cover and it ripped after just two seasons? And get this, it was supposed to have a 12-year warranty! But you know what? When I tried to get it replaced, they blamed the manufacturer and claimed they didn't even have a phone number for them because they were based overseas. Like, seriously, what kind of excuse is that? Then the warranty company came up with all these ridiculous reasons why the cover failed, but let's be real, we all know it was because it was made of cheap material. And after all that drama, Doheny had the audacity to offer me a measly 20% off to purchase another cover from them. Yeah, right, I'm not falling for that trick again. So yeah, I'll never shop here again.
Online purchase experience
I bought something online recently and ran into some issues with my account and tracking info. First, I got a coupon code that wouldn't apply to my order. Then, I had trouble logging into my account to check my order details. When I asked for help from customer service, they just told me to contact them again, which was really confusing. The tracking numbers they gave me didn't even work with the shipping company, so I had no idea when my stuff would get here. Basically, the whole process was a mess and not well organized, making me pretty unhappy with how things turned out.

When we ordered the curved step system, we were drawn in by the promise of next day shipping that was front and center on the website. Thankfully, the steps came in just a day later than we thought, still faster than some other online shops we've dealt with before. Setting up the steps was a breeze, and they turned out to be sturdier than we expected based on their looks. In the end, we were happy with our purchase and would definitely consider getting accessories from this retailer again in the future.

I bought a sand filter from this company recently, and it was a bit of a rollercoaster. The website had decent prices and my order got to me quick, which was great, but the customer service left a lot to be desired. I tried to get some info on the product by calling, but the people I talked to didn't seem to know much at all. So, I just ended up buying the filter online by myself. When it showed up, the instructions were missing some pieces. I called customer service again for help with putting it together, but they didn't have much to offer and told me to find a local person to install it. I have a feeling their customer service might be based in another country.
Pool equipment purchase
Doheny's has really great prices for pool equipment and accessories. Plus, they ship super fast so you get your stuff right when you need it. One thing I think would be cool is if they started offering Uni-bead liners for pool kits. That could bring in more people wanting to buy a whole pool set instead of just bits and pieces.
replacement pump
My experience with the customer service at this company was extremely disappointing. I had to wait a long time for a replacement pump because there was no technical support available for their products. This ended up costing me more money and causing a lot of inconvenience. I was expecting better service, especially for products that are so important. I hope that the replacement pump will be good when I finally get it, but overall, my experience with this company has been frustrating and not up to par. It's obvious that their service has limitations, but that's no reason for such terrible customer support.
Hayward pool pump purchase
This was my first time ordering from this company and I have to say, I was really impressed with how everything went. I got a Hayward pool pump and not only was the price great, but the customer service was amazing. The ordering process was easy and simple, and I was really happy to get my item in just 2 days. But when I got the pump, I saw that it was damaged. I reached out to customer service and they quickly sent me a return label and shipped a new pump to me in just 3 days. The new pump was in perfect shape and I am so pleased with the service I got.
Pool supplies purchase
Most of my stuff from this company came right on time, but I had a problem with one item that got messed up in the delivery. I got in touch with customer service and they were super quick to admit the issue and offer a solution. They were cool with either sending out a new item or giving me my money back, and they handled it really fast. The customer service I got from this company was top-notch.
Chlorine order issues
I had such a frustrating time trying to order chlorine from this store. I tried three times to place my order online and each time, the next day I got an email saying my order was canceled because of some credit card issue. I used different cards every time, and none of them had any problems. So irritating! I ended up having to call and place my order over the phone and talk to a customer service rep.
