    Sand filter purchase

    I bought a sand filter from this company recently, and it was a bit of a rollercoaster. The website had decent prices and my order got to me quick, which was great, but the customer service left a lot to be desired. I tried to get some info on the product by calling, but the people I talked to didn't seem to know much at all. So, I just ended up buying the filter online by myself. When it showed up, the instructions were missing some pieces. I called customer service again for help with putting it together, but they didn't have much to offer and told me to find a local person to install it. I have a feeling their customer service might be based in another country.

    Above ground curved step system

    When we ordered the curved step system, we were drawn in by the promise of next day shipping that was front and center on the website. But once we placed our order, we got hit with news of shipping delays, which was a bit of a letdown. Thankfully, the steps came in just a day later than we thought, still faster than some other online shops we've dealt with before. Setting up the steps was a breeze, and they turned out to be sturdier than we expected based on their looks. In the end, we were happy with our purchase and would definitely consider getting accessories from this retailer again in the future.

    Sand filter and start-up kit

    I gotta say, the person I talked to when I ordered was really helpful and knew their stuff. The delivery came right on time and everything was packaged up real nice. But then, a few days later, when I had a tech question about the tank setup, it kinda sucked to find out that the customer service team couldn't help me out because of language problems. It's super frustrating when you're in a jam and can't get the help you need because of communication issues. Doheny's definitely needs more folks on the team who can answer those tech questions like pros.

    Hayward pool pump purchase

    This was my first time ordering from this company and I have to say, I was really impressed with how everything went. I got a Hayward pool pump and not only was the price great, but the customer service was amazing. The ordering process was easy and simple, and I was really happy to get my item in just 2 days. But when I got the pump, I saw that it was damaged. I reached out to customer service and they quickly sent me a return label and shipped a new pump to me in just 3 days. The new pump was in perfect shape and I am so pleased with the service I got.

    I just bought a skimmer from this shop recently. So, turns out they sent me the wrong one. Bummer, right? But hey, gotta give credit where it's due - their customer service was top-notch. The person I talked to was super nice and gave me clear instructions on how to return the skimmer. I was actually quite impressed with how quickly they responded about sorting out the return. They promised me a refund and said it'll happen in 48-72 hours. Despite the mix-up, the customer service really stood out to me.

I got in touch with customer service and they were super quick to admit the issue and offer a solution. They were cool with either sending out a new item or giving me my money back, and they handled it really fast. The customer service I got from this company was top-notch.

    Clouduster flocculent and natural clarifier

    The product is great and cheaper than going to a pool store, however, the customer service department is horrible. You are on hold for a good 20 minutes and when you finally get in touch with someone you start to ask them questions they hand up on you. It happened twice so I know it was intentional. If you know what you want to order online, never call customer service.

    The pool pump and filter came pretty quickly, just 3 days after I ordered them. But man, the instructions they gave me were seriously lacking. I tried calling for help, but the folks on the phone didn't quite get what I was talking about. It would be so much better if they included more pictures in the manuals, so the support team could use them to help us out.

    Doheny's has really great prices for pool equipment and accessories. Plus, they ship super fast so you get your stuff right when you need it. One thing I think would be cool is if they started offering Uni-bead liners for pool kits. That could bring in more people wanting to buy a whole pool set instead of just bits and pieces.

    I recently bought something from this company and it was a total disaster, like, from start to finish. I got my order and it was totally wrong. So then I had to call customer service, wait for a return receipt, and find a Fed Ex store to send back the wrong stuff. And then on top of that, they charged me an extra $10.00 for the return shipping. Like, seriously? Why all this unnecessary drama? Now they still owe me $10.00 for the return shipping. Can someone just tell me when I'm getting my money back so I can move on with my life? All I wanted was some PH powder.

    My experience with the customer service at this company was extremely disappointing. I had to wait a long time for a replacement pump because there was no technical support available for their products. This ended up costing me more money and causing a lot of inconvenience. I was expecting better service, especially for products that are so important. I hope that the replacement pump will be good when I finally get it, but overall, my experience with this company has been frustrating and not up to par. It's obvious that their service has limitations, but that's no reason for such terrible customer support.

    Chlorine order issues

    I had such a frustrating time trying to order chlorine from this store. I tried three times to place my order online and each time, the next day I got an email saying my order was canceled because of some credit card issue. I used different cards every time, and none of them had any problems. So irritating! I ended up having to call and place my order over the phone and talk to a customer service rep.

    Doheny Wide Mouth Skimmer sku...7860

    I ordered a Doheny wide mouth skimmer sku... 7860, unaware that they (or no one else) sells a compatible winter plug. Their so called pool experts can provide no more information about their products than what is available on the website.
    So now I have to drain my pool water level to find another skimmer plate with cover or change the whole thing, which would be a major hassle.
    Find another company with actual knowledgeable sales people.

    purchased (2) 25 lb. buckets of PH up

    BUYER BEWARE! I ordered (2) 25lb buckets of PH up but Dohenys charged me for (4) 25lb buckets when I called they claimed I placed 1 order as a guest and 1 order on my account why would I order as a guest if I had an account? Then I said I would return the extra (2) buckets if they would send return labels. They told me I would have to pay $25.00 for each label, WOW! I told them that's crazy, after 1 more customer service rep and 2 managers the price per label went down to $18.00 per label for their error! I said no, and then I told them I would have my credit card company deal with them, then they said they would pay for 1/3 of the return and I should pay for the other 2/3, that was enough, I contacted my credit card company and they credited me for 1 of the purchases I was charged for and they dealt with Dohenys. I should have called them 1st.

    pool filers - tried to buy

    I ordered pool filters that were on back order. That's fine. When the product was in stock, I called and customer service said they would ship and arrive in 2 days. The filters did not arrive. I called 3 days later, product in stock and no idea when they will ship. Called again at 8 days, they told me to cancel the order. Also, when you call, you will talk to one person, then they transfer you to "customer service", which is the same people who answer the phone under "customer service". So, now you have talked to 2 customer service people per call who can not help you. After the order was cancelled, I ordered the same product through Amazon. I received a shipping notice withing 4 hours. I was shipping from Doheny's ( it showed Pleatco as the store). Time to see if Pleatco and Dohenys are owned by the same people. The same company who could not ship the product I ordered directly from them for more than 8 days.
