I was actually kind of excited about these little Spice Village houses — they looked perfect for my shelf — but I hesitated when Lenox said pay up front to save your spot. I’ve had weird preorder stuff happen before (companies ghosting you), so I paid with PayPal to feel safer. February was the ETA and I told myself, okay, that’s fine. Patience.
Then March I finally got one of the two houses and, honestly, it’s nicer than the pics — the finish is pretty sweet and that made me smile. I figured the other one would show up soon. May came and I’d heard nothing. I sent an email, waited, got radio silence, and then suddenly they cancelled the rest of my order. Asked about a refund, crickets again. I tried PayPal but learned the 180‑day dispute window had passed (ugh), so that avenue was closed.
So yeah — one happy little collectible, and one mess. I’m glad the piece I did receive is great, but the communication and refund handling left me frustrated. If you’re thinking about ordering, be careful with upfront payments and keep records; my trust took a hit, though I still like the item I kept.Almost had it — then it vanished
tiny hand-painted houses, the kind of thing you want to touch and line up on a shelf. I ordered within minutes. Felt silly happy, actually. The confirmation came fast and there was a note saying shipping details would follow. Cool, I thought, that was easy.
Then nothing. I kept checking the product page because I wanted to see how it would look in real life, and other people were posting pics. After three weeks I get a cancellation. No heads up, just canceled. I messaged customer support and they said it was sold out. Which was weird, because I could still see it on the site later that day. I told them that. They said, "We take orders and sometimes we cancel to be fair to everyone." That answer made my head spin — fair? It felt like they picked winners and losers.
I asked for a waiting list or at least to be added to a notification. Nope. They offered a newsletter add instead, like that was the same thing. The whole thing left a bad taste. I never even got to hold the piece, which is the worst part — I had imagined the weight of the houses, the little chips of paint, how they'd glow under a lamp. That tiny anticipation turned into disappointment. I get that things sell out, but selling something and then deciding who actually gets it, without a good reason, just rubs me the wrong way. I’d order again only if they actually fix how they handle backorders. Until then, not recommending this way of doing business.Oddly cold service, decent delivery
I first noticed this pattern at my sister’s house and actually told a few friends about it, so I was pretty excited to place an order. That’s why the whole ordeal felt so weird — not the product but the support. After I realized I’d typed the wrong shipping address and needed to change it right away, I called Lenox. Spoke with two different reps — Barbara and Jennifer, both in Bristol, PA — and I kept hoping one of them would help. Instead they were pretty blunt and stuck to policy lines, like they had a script and didn’t want to go off it. There was no real attempt to figure out an alternative, no offer to escalate, and honestly a cold tone that made me feel like I was bothering them. When I called back and mentioned the earlier call they all said they worked in the same place and calls started getting cut off. That part was frustrating and kind of embarrassing, because it’s a small mistake on my end but felt like I’d caused a big problem. The surprise here was that despite the shaky customer service, the delivery itself ended up being fine — it arrived sooner than the final estimated date and the packaging was nicer than I expected. So the product side and the carrier did okay, which is why I can’t slam everything. Still, the way the customer service handled (or didn’t handle) the correction left a bad aftertaste. I’ve shopped with Lenox before and I get that rules exist, but a little effort or a “let me see” would’ve changed this whole thing. I won’t recommend Lenox right now the way I used to, at least until they get their customer-facing team to show a bit more follow-through and basic human decency.
Personalized ornament purchase
I ordered a personalized ornament from this company back on December 4th. The shipping info said that it would take 6 to 8 days for personalization. After patiently waiting for 2 days, I tried to get in touch with customer service several times. When I finally reached someone, the agent I spoke with was not helpful at all. In fact, she was really rude. She told me that my ornament wouldn't arrive until after Christmas and that there was nothing she could do to speed things up. When I asked to speak to a manager, she just hung up on me. I definitely won't be buying from this company again.
Sketchy online shopping experience
My shopping experience was really strange. I placed an order but never received a confirmation. When I contacted them, they told me that my order was never actually placed. And now my money is tied up for a whole month! Ugh.
Knife set purchase
I bought this knife set, and the quality of the knives is really good. But the block that comes with it is a dud. I tried reaching out to customer service through email and phone, but they were no help. The knives don't fit properly in the block, one of them doesn't even fit at all. So, basically, the knives are awesome, but the block is a disappointment.
Mislead by shipping timeframe
I am so frustrated with this company's terrible customer service and lack of honesty. I was really looking forward to getting my order on time, but instead I was let down and annoyed. I tried reaching out to them several times and was left on hold for way too long. Finally, I spoke to someone who confessed that there was a mistake in their system causing delays. But even after admitting fault, they wouldn't do anything to make it right or compensate for the inconvenience.
Home decor items
My experience with ordering from Lenox was really disappointing. I placed my order and waited way longer than they said it would take to ship. I tried reaching out to customer service via email, but got no response. Then I tried to chat with them on their website during their supposed hours, but no one was there. Finally, after many tries, I spoke to someone who said my order would take even longer to ship. They promised me a 20% discount for the delay, but then said I'd have to contact them again to get it. This lack of responsibility and customer service is just not right. And when I asked for an email confirming the discount, they said they couldn't do it and ended the chat. This whole experience with Lenox has been a pain and not worth it. I'd suggest looking somewhere else for home decor stuff.
Customer Service Experience
Man, I just gotta tell you about my call to customer service. It was a total nightmare. I was on hold forever, seriously felt like an eternity, just to end up talking to this rude and unhelpful lady named Brianna. It's a bummer because I really like their products, but after that awful encounter, I'm definitely shopping somewhere else.
Dinner and service set for 8
I tried to buy a dinner and service set for eight people, but my order got canceled by Lenox due to an internal review and quantity problem. I was really bummed out because I have a big family and I finally found a product I loved. Lenox, you should be ashamed of yourselves. I've received other sets from my family, but I won't be buying from you again or passing them down. The customer service was terrible and the whole company left a bad impression on me.
Christmas shopping purchases
I bought some Christmas presents back in November for our family celebration. When I realized there was a problem with part of my order, I reached out to customer service. They explained that the items had to be personalized so I needed to be patient, but I was really hoping to get them sooner. Then the whole credit card situation got messy, so I had to place a new order in January, but that didn't work out either. In the end, I decided to just cancel my order and shop at a different store instead. It was disappointing because I really loved the items from that store.
Personalized ornaments purchase
I just bought some personalized ornaments, but the company didn't send them when they said they would. I called to ask about my order, but the person I talked to wasn't much help. They had no clue when my order would actually be shipped. It was really frustrating and disappointing for me.
Personalized ornament purchase
I got this ornament made just for me on December 4th, thinking it would arrive by the holidays. But man, I was let down! This company didn't bother to keep me in the loop at all. I sent them a bunch of emails and tried calling, but no response. Super annoying and disheartening, especially since I've been a repeat customer. Guess I'll take my business elsewhere next time.
Christmas presents
I received 5 Christmas presents on November 29th, 2022, but only 3 arrived really fast. When I tried calling, I had to wait forever - there were like 16 people ahead of me. So, I requested a call back but never got one after my call on December 15th, 2022. I even tried messaging them on their chat, but all I received was a robot message saying they would get back to me - and they never did! It's disappointing when a company you've been purchasing from for years disappoints you like that.
Porcelain dishes and figurines
Lenox has got some seriously beautiful porcelain dishes and figurines, like, top-notch quality. The designs are super intricate and the finish is flawless, it's all just so elegant and classy. The craftsmanship and attention to detail that goes into making these pieces is seriously impressive. I would totally recommend Lenox to anyone looking for some fancy porcelain that's gonna wow everyone.
Fine China Set Purchase
I recently splurged on a new fancy china set to add to my collection. I dropped $3000 on a bunch of stuff and then got a notice that my order got axed. Apparently, they're picky about who they sell to and said they can cancel orders whenever they feel like it. When I reached out to customer service to figure out what was going on, they gave me the same runaround about needing approval for orders. It was super annoying and now I'd tell other folks to be careful about buying from this store.
glassware set
I bought a set of glassware from this company recently, and it was a total nightmare. The website was a mess to navigate, especially when I tried to enter my US address as a Canadian customer. Their chat support was never available, and when I called, I either got no response or was told I'd get a call back that never happened. It felt like they didn't want any customers, especially Canadian ones. The customer service was terrible, which made the whole thing super frustrating. Needless to say, I won't be buying from them again.
Lenox: Just Okay
As an avid fan of fine china and tabletop accessories, Lenox has always been a go-to brand for me. I have several pieces from their collections and have always been impressed with the quality and craftsmanship.
One thing I particularly appreciate about Lenox is their attention to detail. The designs on their plates and bowls are always intricate and beautifully done, and the gold or platinum trim adds a touch of elegance to any table setting. The pieces are also durable and have held up well over time, even with frequent use.
I also appreciate the wide range of styles and patterns that Lenox offers. Whether I'm looking for something traditional or more modern, I can always find something that fits my taste.
One thing to note is that Lenox can be on the pricier side compared to other brands, but in my opinion, the quality is worth it.
Overall, I have always been satisfied with my Lenox purchases and would highly recommend the brand to anyone in search of high-quality china and tabletop accessories.
