I went shopping at this store recently and I gotta say, the customer service was top-notch. The staff really took the time to explain all the product features in great detail, so I knew exactly what I was getting. They were super helpful and made sure I had all the info I needed before I made a decision. If I had any questions or concerns, they gave me lots of options to think about. It was clear that they genuinely cared about giving great customer service and making sure I was happy with my visit.
Warranty claim for a pair of gloves
I just wanna give a shoutout to the amazing customer service I got for my glove warranty claim! The first rep I talked to was super helpful, but Olivia from the warranty team really knocked it out of the park. They handled my claim lightning-fast and even sent me a new pair of gloves plus a little thank you surprise. Just goes to show that good customer service still exists!
Jacket and gloves
I got this jacket and gloves from here because I wanted to look cool like my big brother. The jacket is really warm and comfy, and the gloves keep my hands toasty when I play in the snow. But the employees weren't that friendly, especially Terese on the chat. She just left without even saying bye. Not cool, man. But when I called, the service was a little better.
Online purchase during sale
I recently bought something online when it was on sale but it ended up being returned because it couldn't be delivered. It wasn't my fault because I gave the right address. I tried reaching out to customer service several times, but all I got were automated replies and no sympathy for my situation. It's really annoying not getting any support or compassion, especially when I had proof that the package was sent to the wrong address. It's not okay that they didn't even apologize or try to fix the problem. They just said they would give me a refund, but that's not what I wanted.
Awesome hardshell ski jacket
I got this awesome hardshell ski jacket that I rock all the time. It keeps me cozy and dry when I'm out on the slopes. One day, the zipper on one of the pockets busted, and I was bummed out. But I reached out to the company and they hooked me up with a new one real quick! Their service was top-notch and now I'm loving my fresh jacket.
Waterproof hiking boots
I gotta say, those waterproof hiking boots I got from Outdoor Research totally blew me away. They're super tough and top-notch quality, plus they kept my feet nice and dry on a recent hike in the pouring rain. I'm seriously impressed with how these boots held up, and I'd for sure suggest them to anyone who loves the great outdoors.
Outdoor gear
I really like the products they make, but I'm kind of turned off by how much they seem to care about being woke. Their models don't really seem to represent most of us Americans. Luckily, there are a bunch of other outdoor companies out there that can meet my needs without all the unnecessary virtue signaling.
Pants with snaps for total movement activities
I just bought these pants that are supposed to be great for moving around in, but I'm kind of bummed out by how easily the snaps come undone whenever I'm climbing or twisting. I think they'd work a lot better with a basic button closure instead.
OR interstellar jacket
I got the OR interstellar jacket and was really looking forward to it arriving! It seemed awesome and all those outdoor bloggers were going on and on about it. But, after just a year, the pockets tore! And it's not waterproof like they say, even after I followed their advice and used the waterproofing stuff. Now I just wear it to block the wind, but it's not good for much else. It looks like they're more focused on marketing than on making top-notch products. I feel like I got played and doubt I'll purchase from them again.
Attempted address change for shipment
I tried to change the shipping address for my package, but got no response for days. When I finally heard back, they said they couldn't make the change even though the item hadn't been shipped yet according to Federal Express. And then no one replied to my follow-up emails.
Return process took FOREVER
I had to return some things I bought and it took forever for them to even check it out, like seriously 3 weeks! When I reached out to them, all they did was send me a standard response like they didn't care about my issue at all. It was so frustrating!
OR Bivy Bag with "Infinite Warranty"
I bought an OR Bivy Bag not long ago and was excited about their "Infinite Warranty". But when I started using it, I noticed the white plastic material was flaking off all over the place, making the bag fall apart. I tried contacting Outdoor Research in the US to fix the issue, but they didn't get back to me. As a last resort, I contacted the Australian distributor, Intertrek, but they didn't seem to care either. It's kind of a bummer that OR's infinite warranty isn't as solid as their product quality.
Defective Alti Mitts with "Infinite Guarantee"
Let me tell you about my experience with this brand. So I bought a pair of their Alti Mitts with the so-called "Infinite Guarantee" and man, what a disappointment. After only a couple of years, the gloves got holes where the thumb connects to the rest of the glove, so now they're basically useless. I put in a warranty claim like 5 weeks ago and I've just been getting strung along. They keep telling me it'll be at least another 4 weeks before they can even look at my claim. What kind of guarantee is that? This "Infinite Guarantee" is just a trick to suck people in.
Rain jacket not waterproof
I bought a rain jacket from this company not too long ago, and man, I gotta say I'm really let down. They advertised it as totally rainproof, but as soon as I wore it out walking my dogs in the rain, my back was soaked in no time. My other jacket from a different brand holds up way better in the same conditions, so now I'm starting to doubt the quality of this one.
Disappointed with slow delivery
I just bought something from this company and man, I was so bummed out by how slow it took to get to me. I actually shelled out extra cash for that expedited shipping, but it still took way longer than I thought. I live pretty close to where they ship from, so I was expecting that package to show up at my door real quick. But nope, that definitely didn't happen.
Pro member discounts
The shipping is taking forever, feels like my package is moving by snail mail! I was a loyal customer, but now I gotta find somewhere else to buy their stuff because the shipping times are so bad. The prices used to be awesome but what's the use if I never get my order on time? It's so frustrating and disappointing.
Rain jacket purchase
I just bought a rain jacket and I was pretty happy with the jacket itself, but I ran into some issues with the customer service. The jacket I wanted wasn't available in my size, so I settled for a smaller one. But when it didn't fit, I gave the customer service line a call to see if they could restock or exchange the jacket for me. The person I talked to was really unprofessional and not helpful at all. He didn't even give his name when he answered the phone, so I wasn't even sure if I called the right place. And during our conversation, he kept giving me vague and conflicting info about when the jacket would be restocked. He didn't really answer my questions and just kept telling me to check the return policy. And to top it all off, when I asked for his name before hanging up, he just ended the call right then and there.
