Lavender-twist weeping redbud tree
When I got my lavender-twist weeping redbud tree, it wasn't what I was hoping for at all. Didn't look like the pictures on the website. I felt pretty bummed, but I contacted the company and they tried to fix it. They gave me the option of a different tree at no extra cost, so I went with a Crimson Queen Japanese Maple, which I adore! The new tree showed up fast and in great shape. The company was really understanding and made sure I was satisfied in the end. Lesson learned - always ask for pictures or jot down your expectations when ordering from them.
Fig Tree Purchase
I was kind of nervous about buying a fig tree online at first, but let me tell you, I couldn't be happier with the one I got. It showed up in great shape, all snug in a three-gallon container. Every branch was in one piece, and the leaves were a healthy, bright green. And get this - there were already a bunch of little figs and buds on the tree, getting me all excited for a tasty spring harvest. I seriously love this fig tree from PlantingTree, and you can bet I'll be coming back for more gardening stuff in the future.
Redbud trees purchase
I just bought a couple of those Redbuds called "Forest Pansy" from this company to spruce up my garden. But when they arrived, one of them had a broken main branch, probably from being roughed up in transit. The rest of the trees looked fine though. I reached out to Customer Service on their website, and they got back to me quickly. They're sending me a replacement tree, so I'm pretty happy with the plants and the customer service experience.
Appreciation gift, delivery confirmation, billing clarification
I got a cool gift from a business buddy, and this company was supposed to deliver it. But there was a mix-up with the billing address listed in the email I got. So, I contacted customer service to straighten things out. Eileen S and Melissa J totally came through with quick and efficient responses. It was a big relief to get the issue sorted out so fast, especially after dealing with some pretty meh customer service from other companies before.
Hydrangea purchase
I bought a hydrangea from this website back in January, but sadly, it arrived in a dormant state. I thought I'd wait till July to see if it would start sprouting, but unfortunately, there was no growth at all. When I contacted customer service about it, they wouldn't assist me because I didn't plant it right away like they wanted. But, there was no mention of that requirement when I made the purchase. How was I supposed to know if it was alive without seeing any growth? Overall, this has been a disappointment and a waste of my money and time.
2 White Dogwood Trees
I bought 2 White Dogwood Trees from this store and had them delivered a week later on 6/17. The communication with the store was pretty good while ordering. The trees came in a secure box, but some of the leaves were curled, probably from the bumpy ride. I planted them the next day and have been watering them regularly, hoping they'll bounce back.
Tree, Soil Mix, Fertilizer
The stuff I got from this company was awesome. Everything came quickly and was packaged really well. I didn't waste any time planting the tree and following the instructions they gave me. It's only been a week since I put it in the ground, and I'm already seeing some growth. This tree means a lot to me because it's a memorial for my dear pet. I'm hoping it keeps on growing strong. Fifty plants for my yard
Oh my gosh, I just got a bunch of plants from this amazing place and they are seriously awesome! They came packaged so nicely and look really healthy. I'm loving all the options they have and the prices are great too. I would definitely suggest this place to anyone in need of plants! I'm so excited to get more for my backyard now.
Okame Cherry Tree
I bought this Okame Cherry Tree and I was super excited for it to come. It arrived pretty quickly and looked alright. But when I saw that the top part of the tree had been cut off, I was really disappointed. And the graft on the trunk seemed a little off. I'm just hoping it doesn't have any issues and holds up well.
Royal Purple Smoke Tree and Bloodgood Japanese Maple
Wow, these trees are amazing! I admit, I was pretty nervous about ordering them online, but they showed up so quickly and in great shape. They were packaged really well too. I heard some folks think the prices are steep, but personally, I don't agree. I'd give this store a solid 5-star rating!
Plant purchase for landscaping project
I bought some plants for a landscaping job not too long ago, and man, it was a total letdown. I ordered a bunch, but only got part of my delivery. When I tried to get help from customer service, they were no help at all and didn't seem to care. It was super annoying to not only lose money but also waste time on a project that got delayed because of the messed up delivery. I'd say steer clear of this company if you're thinking of buying plants from them.
Profusion Crabapple Tree
I bought a Profusion Crabapple Tree from this company not long ago. When it arrived, it looked more like a tall stick with sad, dried-up leaves rather than a full, healthy tree. Even though it was the right size, I was bummed out that it didn't have the usual tree features. I went ahead and planted it, crossing my fingers for some good growth and progress.
Redbud Tree Order
I recently bought two Eastern Redbuds from this company and I also got a warranty to have peace of mind. But when the trees arrived, I was bummed out because the leaves had black spots and holes all over them. One of the trees looked okay, but the other one was skinny, had a crooked trunk, and weird branch placement that looked like a "V" instead of being full and spread out nicely. It was really disappointing and not what I was expecting. When I contacted customer service to tell them how I felt, they kind of brushed off my complaints, saying the black spots were just cosmetic and I should wait until spring to see how the trees turn out. I wasn't happy with their answer at all. It left me feeling pretty unsatisfied.
Birthday gift plant
The plant I got for my friend's birthday came looking real sad. The tips were all chopped off, the root ball was tiny compared to the pot, and leaves were droppin' like crazy. There might've even been some dead branches, for real. I was bummed out 'cause I paid extra for a "large" plant, only to get this sad little thing. My friend ended up with a sorry-looking plant for her birthday, which wasn't what I wanted for her at all.
Recent plant purchase
I bought some plants from this company not too long ago, and I gotta say, I was really let down with what showed up. None of the plants looked healthy when they got here, and the packaging was a mess. One of the plants I was expecting to be a tree arrived as basically just a root, and the two grasses I ordered were also just roots with a few sad-looking green leaves. On top of that, the containers were all beat up, with bits of them even mixed in with the soil, making things worse for the plants.
5-6 profusion crabapple tree
I just bought a 5-6 foot profusion crabapple tree from an online store to replace a dogwood tree that died over the winter. But man, I was bummed out by the whole thing. The tree showed up five days late due to warm weather, and it was looking all sad and stressed out. Even though I paid extra for a 1 year guarantee, the company wouldn't give me a refund for the messed up tree. I was pretty disappointed with the tree and with how the company treated me.
Ornamental grass purchase
I bought some ornamental grass from PlantingTree not too long ago, but ran into an issue with the plants. I contacted Customer Service and was told that they would replace the plants if they didn't grow by a specific time. However, when I checked in on that promise, another representative told me I had to buy insurance to cover any losses. Even though I had proof in writing of the original offer, they didn't stick to it. I was really let down by how their customer service lacked consistency and accountability.
Weather Troubles 🌿
I was really upset when I lost some of my plants in the freeze, but Planting Tree was amazing! They gave me some great advice and even hooked me up with a nice discount on replacements. Lisa was so great at keeping in touch. I totally suggest Planting Tree to anyone looking for plants! 🌳
Grass seed purchase
I used to really like this website and I bought things from them for about 3 years. But then in October, things went south. I ordered the grass seed they recommended, expecting it to be delivered to my place. But you know what happened? It got delivered to my neighbor's house on a whole different street, right on the day of her daughter's wedding! I had to haul that heavy 50lb bag all the way to my house with my trusty wheelbarrow. I called FedEx, but they said PlantingTree paid for the shipping, so I had to reach out to them. Did they do anything about it? Nope, not a thing. And to make matters worse, the grass seed didn't even grow correctly, it was all just clover. And now, after 4 years, they're telling me I've been using the wrong seed this whole time! Can you believe that?
