TEFL course package
The TEFL Institute has this awesome TEFL course package that I went for. I chose the 310-hour option, and it covered four courses with a bunch of different topics. The material was pretty easy to get, and it was actually interesting and fun to learn. My tutor, Rachel Walsh, was always there for me whenever I needed help or guidance, which was super helpful during the program. The virtual teaching part, led by Michelle Benson, was really cool and motivating. All in all, I had a great time with this TEFL course and I totally think it's worth checking out if you're thinking about becoming a TEFL teacher.
Business English Teacher Certificate course
I completed the Business English Teacher Certification course and it was mediocre. The content wasn't anything special, basically stuff I could have easily looked up online. What really let me down was the fact that the entire course consisted mostly of text without any real instructors. There were some YouTube videos on similar subjects, but not much on the actual course material. Overall, be prepared to do a ton of reading. I ended up using an AI tool to read the text out loud to me in an attempt to save time and make things go faster.
I completed the 30-hour TESOL Preparation Course.
I thought the course was really helpful in giving me a solid grasp on how the test is set up. I got my TESOL certification back in 2023, so I was already familiar with the TOEFL exam, but the IELTS was new to me. Once I started tutoring online, I noticed a lot of students from all over were focused on the IELTS exam. The materials from the course were good, but I think I need to do more studying and prep before I can really help students with the exam. Leroy from the institute was great about getting me extra materials to use.

10 hour Virtual TEFL Course
I really enjoyed the 10-hour virtual TEFL Course. Our tutor, Michelle, was so experienced and really helpful throughout the course. She made it easy to complete teaching tasks and overcome any technical issues. The small group setting was great because it allowed us to do interactive exercises together, which made the whole learning process fun and productive.

I absolutely loved the TEFL course I bought! I went for the Level 5 180-hour course and it was even better than I thought it would be. I like learning on my own, so this course was just right for me. The part that really impressed me was the detailed info on managing a class, which is not only handy for teaching English, but can be used for other subjects too. Whenever I had questions, the communication was excellent. I hopped on their Discord group and Laura was super helpful. Thanks a ton!
Registration assistance
I had a really good experience with the customer service representative, Leo Healy. He helped me figure out how to deal with my registration problems and guided me on what to do next as a first-time TEFL student. Leo was friendly and explained things clearly, which made it a lot easier for me to understand what was needed and what to do next. Encouraging presentation
The presentation was so inspiring and informative. Emos really gave some helpful tips on how to deal with accents, and the personal stories that were shared were really motivating. I also picked up some great advice on how to improve my CV using the Europass template, and found out about new places to apply to after the webinar. Learning about qualifications like Trinity Level 7, DELTA, and CELTA/Level 5 was really interesting and gave me a new perspective.
TEFL course purchase
The TEFL course was awesome! The materials were really good and the grading system was quick. But let me tell you, the customer service was just awful. I tried using the chat feature but no one ever got back to me. It wasn't until I gave them a call that I finally got some assistance. If you don't anticipate needing customer service, then the course itself is top-notch. Just be ready to be on your own if you run into any problems.
Online TEFL course
I took an online TEFL course recently and man, what a letdown. The course material was so outdated, the videos looked terrible, and the quizzes were all messed up. The website made it sound like I was gonna get such a great learning experience, but all I ended up with was a ton of frustration and disappointment. Don't bother wasting your money on that program, look for something better.
