scheduling and consistency of getting sessions delivered was solid compared with other providers I’ve used. Con: customer service and post-problem handling were weak. They avoided accountability and leaned on blaming me, which felt dismissive. Bottom line: the process works and the ink is coming out, but the customer support around a complication was frustrating and the scar is a real downside. Not perfect, but not a total disaster — just poor handling when things went wrong.
Looks good online, not so great in person
pushy about add-ons, sudden shifts in tone if you say no, the usual "buy now or we can't help you" vibe. It makes you feel like they value the sale more than, well, you. On top of that scheduling and delivery have been inconsistent. Appointments get moved or start late, they sometimes cram you in and rush the session — not what you'd expect for something you're paying for. A few of the technicians are actually great, patient and careful (one of them I would recommend), but others act like your presence is an inconvenience. Also, be aware of the rating incentives — they ask for five-star reviews for a free underarm session, so take those glowing online comments with a grain of salt. To their credit, when the right staff is on duty the treatment itself can be effective, and I did notice some improvement. Still, the customer service and the delivery of appointments are the parts that matter day-to-day, and that's where they consistently stumble. I probably wouldn't sign up again unless they sort out the front desk attitude and stop treating add-ons like a hard sell. If you're considering them, ask lots of questions about scheduling and who will actually be doing your sessions — and don't be shy about walking away if the tone changes.
Finger ink, mixed results
get the ring-finger tattoo of my ex gone. Simple, right? I signed up for a 13-session package at the Lenexa LaserAway clinic because I’d heard lasers actually work and I just wanted it off — simple personal closure, less awkwardness. The whole process made me wary from the start; I’d read stories, you know, and I’m not the most trusting person with medical-y stuff. So yeah, I went in skeptical, expecting slow progress and a bit of fuss.
At about session six something changed — not all good. That visit felt longer and more painful than the earlier ones, the tech fiddled with the machine more, and when I peeled the bandage off later that night there was this nasty looking sore, almost like a crater with pus. That took forever to heal, like four weeks. I brought it up and the clinic basically said it was my fault, “cleaning issue,” and the corporate customer service replies were just automated emails — never once got to speak to a person. So I was mad, legit annoyed.
And yet, after a few more sessions, I had that moment where I actually felt satisfied. The edges of the tattoo started to disappear and the overall color faded in a way I hadn’t expected; I remember looking at my hand and thinking, ok, this is working. It’s weird — I’m happy the ink is finally giving up, but not happy about the raised pale scar that sits right in the middle. That scar is permanent and that still bugs me. So, mixed feelings: the laser did what it was supposed to do with the pigment, and I reached a point of real relief, but the scarring and the shrug from staff about what caused it left a bad taste.
Would I recommend them? If you want results, they get you there, but be prepared to push for answers if something goes sideways.Oddly cold customer care after pushy texts
I first heard about this place because a buddy of mine tipped me off — he posts a lot about deals and said “you should try Laser Away” like it was nothing. I checked their Instagram, signed up for texts, and within a month they were pinging me to “stock up” during a sale. That part felt a little aggressive, honestly. The messages kept coming and before I knew it I had about $1,700 worth of credits sitting in my account. Weird thing is, I didn’t even plan to spend that much right away, but the sales pitch worked on me for a minute.
Great deal, awkward rules
I had a double mastectomy a few months earlier and finally felt stable enough to go in for some self-care. I mentioned that when I booked. I told them about my surgery at the appointment too. Then things stalled.
Expensive package, messy follow-up
a different rep, a different story, no continuity. Responses ranged from evasive to flat-out dismissive, and one person was surprisingly blunt about not being able to help — and then said I shouldn’t expect follow-up. That line was the clincher for me (and yes, it felt like being dismissed).
Logistics were messy too: promised 24-hour email replies that never arrived, texts that kept nudging me toward services I’d already been told were inappropriate, and no clear point person to resolve the unused portion of the package. I get that complications happen with skin procedures, but the customer service experience — the mixed messages, the pressure to keep spending, the radio silence — is what made this feel unprofessional and expensive for little return. I’m not saying every location is the same, but this experience has made me shop around and prioritize a place that actually listens and follows up. I’d rather pay slightly more to avoid the runaround.Third appointment and the whole thing unraveled
quick sessions between meetings, better skin for gym days, fewer touch-ups before coffee runs. Sounds simple. It was not.
The ordering process was fine—easy form, quick call—but that call quickly shifted into pressure sales mode. The rep started pushing promos and scheduling me before she’d even asked what I needed. She kept sending texts with these “look at my cousin’s results” pictures that felt too staged. I told her I wanted to talk to my dermatologist first. She said not to. That should’ve been my first red flag, but hey, I was optimistic and went ahead.
First treatment happened, and instead of improvement my acne flared badly. I was told it was normal and to keep going. Okay, fine. Second treatment: worse. Third: they basically told me they couldn’t treat several areas because of active breakouts. So the package I’d paid for suddenly couldn’t be used as intended. That’s a weird place to be—mid-package, paying the same, getting less, and having to juggle doctors’ visits, work, and a face that was acting up.
Customer service is where this truly fell apart. At first they offered a refund or store credit. I said I’d consider credit if they clarified what I could actually get safely. I sent pics, waited, followed up—weeks of radio silence and then a nurse finally called months later saying, yep, I’m not a candidate for RF microneedling or Thermage, only options were fillers or Botox, which I already get elsewhere. Since then it’s been starting over with a new person every call, re-explaining my whole case like a broken record. Responses went from dismissive to kind of aggressive; one rep even ended with “expect no one to answer you.” Charming.
In the middle of all that, I’m trying to keep my day-to-day normal—work Zooms, gym, errands—and honestly I’m relieved I didn’t double down and get more done while they were pushing services I can’t use. There’s a silver lining: I learned to be more skeptical, and I found another medspa that actually listened. I left feeling grateful that it eventually got sorted, even if it took forever and way more patience than I had.Thermage treatment
I had a really bad experience with a beauty clinic recently. I bought a thermage treatment because Karen, one of the salespeople, said it would do wonders for my skin. But after waiting for 8 months, I didn't see any improvements at all. When I asked the clinic about it, they were rude and didn't take me seriously. It was super frustrating and stressful, especially since I paid so much for the treatment. I'd tell anyone thinking about going there to be careful and know that they might end up disappointed.
Appointment scheduling and laser treatment
I went to this place for laser treatment, and it's a whole process that needs more than one session to work well. The first time I scheduled and paid was no problem, but ever since then, keeping up with my appointments has been a nightmare. It's been super annoying to have my sessions pushed back so many times, causing a big holdup in my treatment. I've tried talking to the staff there about it, but it seems like the real issue might be coming from higher up in the company, not the people at the actual place.
Brow waxing
Oh my gosh, you won't believe how awesome my experience was at this place! Margget (not sure if I'm spelling that right) was absolutely amazing. She was super friendly and made sure I felt totally comfortable the whole time. I always get so nervous about getting my brows done, but she explained everything really well and helped me relax. I've never felt so confident leaving a beauty place. She was so detail-oriented and took her time to make sure everything looked perfect. She even gave me some great tips for taking care of my brows after the treatment. By the way, I went to the Los Altos location.
Botox gone bad
So, I went to get my Botox injections, you know? I've been doing it for a while. But this time was a disaster! The nurse messed up my eyebrows, now I look like I'm constantly mad and tired! When I went back, they just said, "Oops, our bad," but didn't fix it! And to make things worse, it turns out the nurse was new! Not cool, dude. They also gave me a hard time when I wanted it corrected. Ugh, absolutely terrible experience!
Laser Hair Removal
I'm just so happy with the service I got at both the Anaheim Hills and Lake Forest places. The staff, especially Jessica at Anaheim and Lisa at Lake Forest, were super nice, helpful, and knew what they were doing. They answered all my questions and made me feel at ease the whole time. The places were clean and well-kept, and I trusted their skills. I tried laser hair removal at both spots and I'm really happy with how it turned out. I totally suggest LaserAway for anyone thinking about getting laser hair removal treatment.
6 session stomach coolsculpting treatment
I was really hopeful that the six-session stomach coolsculpting treatment would give me permanent results for my wedding. But even though I followed all the instructions carefully, I didn't see any change in my body a year later. I wasted over $4,000 and when I tried to get help from billing and management, they were no help at all. It's really discouraging to invest so much money and see no results, just to be told there's nothing they can do. I would suggest not spending your money here if you're looking for big changes in your appearance.
Transformative skin care
LaserAway's team is absolutely amazing! They really took the time to talk to me about my skin and what I wanted to achieve. And let me tell you, the results were fantastic! My skin has never looked better. I used to have really bad skin, but now I get compliments all the time and feel so much more confident. I'm so grateful for their knowledge and top-notch service. Thank you, LaserAway!
Laser hair removal treatment
My time at this place was pretty disappointing, to be honest. I was really expecting great service and results, but it just didn't happen. The prices were way too high for what I got, and I left feeling like I got ripped off. It felt a bit like a scam with the mediocre results. I wouldn't suggest this spot to anyone else.
Package purchase with constant upselling
I've been coming to this place for a while, and I gotta say, the experience has been pretty disappointing. Those "special packages" I bought weren't all they were cracked up to be - just a way to get me to fork over even more cash. Every time I went in for a treatment, they kept pushing me to buy more, saying I needed extra treatments to see any results. It's super irritating to invest in something only to feel like they're trying to squeeze more money out of you. The whole thing has left a bad taste in my mouth and I definitely won't be going back.
Cool-sculpting session
I went to the beauty clinic for a cool-sculpting session and found out that I only got 10 out of the 12 treatments I paid for. It was really frustrating not getting what I paid for. I tried reaching out to the office about it, but I haven't heard back or gotten any resolution. It's disappointing to feel like the provider doesn't care about customer concerns, and it left me unsatisfied with the whole experience.
Laser hair removal
The folks at this place were incredible! As soon as I stepped through the door, the receptionist team greeted me warmly and offered all the help I needed. They took the time to address any questions I had and made sure I felt at ease the whole way through. The facility was well-kept and had a really nice vibe, which I liked. The treatment rooms had TV’s to keep me busy while I waited, which was a nice touch. All in all, my visit went above and beyond what I was expecting and I am already looking forward to my next appointment.
Laser services overcharged
I went to get some laser services done not long ago and when I saw my bill was over $2,000, I was really surprised. The worst part is they were charging me for stuff that they don't even offer in my city. It's been more than 10 days since I told them about this issue, and even after calling them multiple times and going to their office, I still haven't gotten my money back. This kind of dishonesty is just not right and it's not cool. I agree with other people who have called this place predatory.
Laser hair removal treatment
My time at that place was seriously awesome. I was kind of freaking out about getting laser hair removal, but my nurse totally rocked it. She was so gentle, super professional, and really knew her stuff. Honestly, if it wasn't for her, I probably would've bailed on the whole thing. And the folks at the front desk were just so nice and welcoming.

Botox and lip injection
I had a really bad experience at that place. The people who did my Botox and lip injections were not very good at their jobs and made a lot of mistakes. They didn't listen ... Read onBy: gillian
