    Mixed feelings about Liberty Mutual

    I have been with Liberty Mutual for about two years now, and overall, my experience has been pretty good. The process of signing up for a policy was pretty straightforward and the customer service has been generally helpful when I've had questions or needed to make changes to my policy.

    One thing that I do wish was different is that they don't have physical stores. I like being able to go into a store and talk to someone in person, so not having that option can be a bit inconvenient.

    The prices for my policy have also been competitive, which is always a plus. I haven't had to file a claim with them yet, so I can't speak to their claims process, but I have heard mixed reviews from friends and family.

    Overall, I'm satisfied with Liberty Mutual as my insurance provider. They've met my needs and I haven't had any major issues with them.

    Landlord neglect, electrical issue

    My experience with this company was just plain awful. Back in November, when my house lost power due to a neutral leg issue during a rainstorm, I tried reaching out to them. My landlord was MIA and the place was unlivable. I called Liberty Mutual hoping for help, but they basically just brushed me off and said I had to go to a hotel until I paid my $500 deductible. The way they handled my situation, with no empathy or sense of urgency, was really disappointing.

    Auto insurance policy increase

    I've been with this company for a long time, so it really surprised me when I got a notice saying they were raising my auto insurance policy rates. I've been a loyal customer for over five years, and all of a sudden I'm hit with a $350 increase, which is over a 20% jump. When I called to ask about why my rates went up so much, all they told me was "those are the rates" and didn't offer any other explanation or help. I was pretty disappointed and frustrated with their customer service because they didn't seem to care about keeping me as a customer or give me any other options. I expected better treatment and more transparency after being with them for so long. In the end, I decided to look into other insurance companies and found the same coverage for a much cheaper price. It was really discouraging to see how little they tried to keep me as a customer, especially when new customers were getting better rates for the same coverage.

    Homeowners insurance for 70 years

    This place is seriously the worst! My grandma has been getting insurance here for what feels like forever, but they totally canceled her policy just because she missed paying like 10 bucks or something. And now she can't even renew it for almost a whole year! I mean, seriously, who does that?! They claim they sent a bill, but she swears she never got it and they didn't even bother to follow up or anything. It's just so not cool and feels totally wrong.

    Budget-friendly insurance switch

    I recently decided to switch my insurance company in the hopes of finding a cheaper option. I was happy with the low rate I got at first, even though it went up a bit after a few months because of an old claim. But then, out of nowhere, my monthly premium shot up without a good reason. When I talked to someone about it, they said it was because of repair costs in my area. I felt frustrated and annoyed that they weren't more upfront about how they came up with the new price. Even though they tried to find some discounts for me, I didn't think the big price hike was fair, especially since I have a good driving record, always pay on time, and have multiple policies with them. I told them straight up that I wouldn't stand for such a high increase and that I'd switch insurance companies if I had to.

    Auto insurance purchase

    I recently had a really frustrating time dealing with my auto insurance. Even though I got a bunch of emails confirming everything and even got a certificate in the mail, turns out my insurance was canceled without me even knowing. I only realized when I tried to print a new insurance card on the website and saw that it didn't mention my auto insurance at all. After a long phone call with customer service, they told me I had to start all over like a brand new customer. It's just not right that after being with them for 5 years, I'm treated like a newbie every time I need help. Thankfully, I was able to quickly and easily reinstate my insurance using an app on my phone, which was way better than dealing with the company directly.

    Auto insurance claim

    I recently had to file a claim with my auto insurance because of an accident caused by another driver insured by the same company. At first, they admitted fault, which was a relief. But things went downhill fast when they sent an appraiser to check out the damage to my car. This guy used prices from nearby dealerships to compare, but he straight up lied about the numbers to make my car seem like it was worth way less. So, the appraisal ended up being way lower than what my car was really worth, and I ended up getting shortchanged big time. Dealing with this company has been a total headache and just feels shady.

    Home Insurance claim

    I just wanted to reach out to you about the Home Insurance claim I filed with your company because of water damage at my place. Man, this whole process has been a real headache. I've had to deal with three different agents and none of them seem to know what's going on. I keep having to resend and explain stuff to the new agent over and over. It's been 5 months already and I still haven't gotten any resolution on the claim.     We just got a bill from Liberty for our home and auto insurance that's due in March. We paid almost $4000 in full, but now they're saying there was some mistake and we owe them an extra $195. It's like they're penalizing us for filing a claim for damage to our roof from snow and ice. This might be the last straw with this insurance company.

    Estate insurance transfer

    I've been a customer for a long time, with personal auto, home, and business insurance policies. At first, my business premiums were good, but then they doubled after a re-classification. So, I checked out other quotes and State Farm had way better coverage at a much lower cost. It's saved me a lot of money. Even though I've been with them for over ten years, it seems like they care more about shareholders than us policyholders.
