I bought travel insurance for my trip to Germany and ran into a surprise during my travels. My return flight from Frankfurt was missed because of a delay from a security check. To keep going, I had to pay out of pocket to rebook my ticket through Condor Airlines. Being an experienced traveler, I know that mishaps like this are exactly why people get travel insurance.
Last minute travel insurance
I found myself needing last-minute travel insurance, just a week before my upcoming trip. Even though I was short on time, the person I talked to was super helpful and knew all about the purchase options. They made sure to explain everything in an easy way so I knew what I was getting. I decided on a plan that gave me peace of mind during my trip, knowing I was covered if anything went wrong. I was really impressed with the great service I got.
Bought insurance
I had to wait forever to hear back from Travelex Insurance customer service. It feels like they only really care about getting you to take a survey after you purchase their insurance. That's not cool at all.
Travel insurance
I got travel insurance and thankfully didn't have to use it because my friend got sick and we had to cancel our trip. I heard my roommate got a different travel insurance and has been waiting for a refund for 6 months now! I mean, seriously? What's the deal with that? I'm just relieved I didn't have to deal with all that drama.
Trip refund
I had to cancel my trip because of this dumb COVID-19, and Travelex hooked me up with a quick refund. They didn't hassle me with a bunch of questions, which was a relief because who needs that kind of headache when you're already bummed about missing your vacation? I was scared I'd be waiting forever to get my money back, but it only took a week! If I ever need travel insurance again, I'd definitely go with them.
Efficient purchase process
I had a really good experience buying my insurance from this company. The first person I talked to was super nice and gave me all the info I needed before I made a choice. When I called back to actually buy the policy, the next person was just as nice and made sure we were fully covered by double checking everything. It was a really easy and quick process from start to finish.
Luggage insurance
I was so amazed by how awesome the insurance company was when our luggage got stolen! From the moment we called, they were super friendly and helpful. I was crying my eyes out, but the person on the phone remained calm and guided me through everything. It was really amazing!
Antarctic trip insurance claim
I bought insurance for this trip to Antarctica I took in January 2022, but it got cut short because of Covid on the cruise ship. Even though I waited about 8-9 months to file my claim, I was happy with how quick and efficient they were in helping me out. They told me I had a year to get all the necessary paperwork in for the day I missed on the trip (which was about 10% of the total cost), and they reviewed my claim in just 4 weeks and paid me back right away. The whole process was super easy and smooth, so I'll definitely be sticking with Travelex Insurance for all my future travels.
Slow payout
I wouldn't recommend this company if you care about keeping in touch. It took them forever to pay up, all while staying quiet for months. In today's world, it should be a no-brainer that companies are open and communicative. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. AIG and Chubb, on the other hand, have no problem keeping their customers informed.

I just had to submit a claim for emergency surgery expenses while I was traveling, and I had a really smooth experience with the claims process through Travelex. It was easy for me to file my claim and upload all the receipts I needed on their website. They kept me in the loop throughout the whole process, with clear and quick communication. I got an email right away letting me know my claim was approved and how much I would be reimbursed. A few days later, a check arrived in my mailbox covering all my medical expenses and the costs of my disrupted trip, just like they promised. I'm really impressed with how professional and honest this insurance company is, and I'll definitely be getting their coverage for all my future trips abroad.

I had a really good experience with the travel insurance company. The customer service was really great. The reps were super friendly, knew their stuff, and really went out of their way to answer all my questions and help with any issues I had. I felt really well looked after and reassured the whole time.
Claim process
Filing a claim because my trip got cancelled was pretty easy. I filled out the claim form and got all the right documents without any problems. I liked being able to email them for any info I needed. But it was a bummer that they didn't keep me in the loop during the review. It would have been nice to get updates every week on how things were going. Even with that though, they ended up covering my claim in full and the money was quickly deposited right into my bank account.
Reasonable quote, minimum coverage options, user-friendly website
I just called to ask about insurance for my fancy trip and got a really good quote. I liked that I wasn't pushed to cover everything, just got the option for the minimum coverage. The website was easy to use which made it simple. Luckily, I didn't have to make any claims on my trip, but it was nice to know I had the coverage just in case.

Policy changes due to work conditions
I've been dealing with some work stuff while I was abroad, and I needed to make some changes to my Travelex Insurance policy. But man, trying to get in touch with someone from the company was a nightmare. I just couldn't find anyone to help me figure out how to make the changes I needed. My work situation is always changing, so I need to be able to adjust my policy without all this hassle.

Trip insurance has always seemed pretty lame to me, but let me tell you - Travelex is awesome! They make everything so simple and it doesn't break the bank. Now, I swear by Travelex for all of my trips. No more throwing away money on questionable insurance.
