Outdoor lights purchase
I just bought some outdoor lights from Electrical World and I have to say, I'm really impressed with them. The quality of the lights is top-notch and they're exactly what I was looking for to make my garden look great on summer nights. Ordering them was easy and they arrived quickly. The customer service at Electrical World was fantastic and I would definitely suggest them to anyone needing electrical stuff. Long delivery times
The website and order confirmation didn't tell me how long it would take to get my order, which was annoying to find out after I bought it. They didn't clearly say that I needed to add up both the dispatch and delivery times to figure out when my order would actually show up. It's kind of shady and not cool. The important info was hidden in small writing, so it was easy to miss. They said it would take 7-14 days to dispatch my items, and then an extra 3-5 working days for delivery. Basically, I had to wait three weeks for my order to arrive, which is not okay, especially for the price I paid for shipping.

I ordered some Doff weedkiller in mid-April but it's already mid-May and I still haven't received my delivery. I checked the status online and it's been stuck on 'processing' for weeks. Customer service told me there's a backlog at the main warehouse causing delays. I'm frustrated because they continue to advertise products as in stock when they can't deliver orders on time.
Misunderstanding delivery times
My recent experience with the company was quite disappointing because of the delivery times. The website mentioned both despatch and delivery times, but it wasn't very clear that you needed to combine them to figure out the total time. For example, if it takes 7-14 days to despatch the order and then another 3-5 days for delivery, you're looking at a possible total of 19 days or even longer. I found this to be quite tricky and it really made me hesitate about buying from them. I try to support smaller UK businesses, so this confusion really bothered me. I ended up going with a different seller because of this issue. Hopefully in the future, the company can make their delivery policy more straightforward and easy to understand so that customers don't get confused again.

Recent order delivery delay
I recently bought something from Electrical World, but I still haven't gotten it even though it's been over two weeks since I ordered it. When I placed the order on May 2nd, I wasn't told it would take extra time to ship. It wasn't until May 15th that they finally sent it out. In the meantime, I did get two emails letting me know about the delay, which I was thankful for. But then things got even worse when the delivery company, GLS, said on their tracking system that they delivered it on May 17th. But I never got it, and it's still missing as of now.
x4 T4 slimline fluorescent tubes
I recently bought four T4 slimline fluorescent tubes from Electrical World, but unfortunately, I messed up the length and they were 10mm too short. I found the process for returning them on their website pretty easy. They gave me a pre-paid label for Royal Mail, which was convenient. But to my disappointment, Electrical World took out a big chunk from my refund to cover the return shipping. They actually deducted half of what I originally paid, which honestly made me pretty frustrated and feeling a bit used. If I knew about this beforehand, I would have chosen a cheaper return option. This whole situation has left me unsatisfied and thinking I may need to shop somewhere else.
Long wait for delivery
I had a really bad experience with this company. I ordered something over a month ago and I still haven't gotten it. I've reached out to them several times, but they haven't given me any updates or solution. And to top it off, they won't refund me for the items that never arrived. Their customer service is just not okay, so I won't be buying from them again.

I just bought a 3 channel gas boiler control panel from Electrical World and man, I'm pumped about it. It was exactly what I was looking for and the price was right. They shipped it out fast, got to me in just 2 days. I liked that they kept me in the loop with delivery updates. The quality of the part was top of the line and it fit my needs perfectly. I checked out prices at a local store and Electrical World was way cheaper, like 50% less for basically the same thing. Stoked on my purchase!
