SCUBA diving equipment
As someone who dives a lot, having good SCUBA gear is super important for me to have fun and stay safe underwater. I've been using their stuff for years and it's always top-notch. Whether it's regulators or wetsuits, I can always count on SCUBA equipment to do the job right.
Dive computer
I got a dive computer not too long ago and I've been using it for a few months now with no problems. The battery life is actually pretty great and lasts longer than I thought it would. The only issue I've had is with the wristband - it's starting to wear out after just a year which is a bummer considering how good the rest of the product is. But overall, the dive computer is awesome. It's easy to use, the display is clear and easy to read, and it's been working really well for me.
Wetsuit Purchase
I bought a wetsuit from this company thinking it would fit me based on their size chart. But when I put it on, it was way too small. Even though the suit was brand new with tags and they were still selling the same style, they wouldn't let me exchange it for a bigger size. It was really frustrating and disappointing.
BCD purchase experience
I just bought a BCD from this company and it broke pretty quickly, which was a bummer. I tried to use the warranty, but dealing with customer service was a pain - they were not very helpful and communication was terrible. Honestly, the product's quality was not great, especially for how much I paid for it.
Chromis computers
I had a really terrible experience with customer service when my three Chromis computers broke. One stopped working while I was flying because I messed with the settings, and the other two stopped working while I was wearing them as watches around my office. Dealing with customer service was a total nightmare. Having to ship them in and pick them up from a dealer was a big hassle, especially since most dealers are only open during regular 9-5 hours. Trying to get info from the techs over the phone was pointless because they weren't helpful at all and couldn't give me any insight into the problem. I even had to pay for shipping the first time I sent it in. All in all, it was a super frustrating experience.
Problems with dive computers
I've been dealing with a lot of issues with dive computers lately. When I first started using one, it froze, but luckily SCUBAPRO replaced it for me since it was under warranty. Then, less than a year later, the backlight on the new one stopped working. I decided to switch to a different model, the Galileo Luna, but then it got recalled. It's been more than a month now, and the retailer doesn't seem too eager to help me with this situation. My buddy has already gone through two Galileo Luna models in less than half a year because the screen keeps freezing on him.
Overpriced gear with non-interchangeable parts
The equipment I bought was way too expensive and ended up being a huge hassle when I traveled because it didn't work well with other industry standards. It feels like you're just paying for the brand's name from the past, not for good quality.
Disappointing HUD purchase
I was really bummed out about my recent HUD buy. I thought it was gonna be top-notch, but it ended up falling short in a bunch of ways. The air integration keeps losing connection when I'm underwater, which makes it pretty unreliable. Plus, the alarms are so quiet I can barely hear them, so they're basically useless. And if the battery dies, I have to send it in for a reset, which is a huge hassle. All in all, this HUD has been a major disappointment and I wish I hadn't bought it.
Frameless mask
I bought this mask from the company not too long ago, and man, did it go kaboom right in my face on my dive last weekend! I tried getting in touch with their customer service folks, but haven't heard a peep back from them yet. I've been diving for a while now and have shelled out more than $50k on gear, so this whole situation has been a real letdown. Thinking maybe it's time to look into a new brand altogether.
Regulator, diving equipment
I've been using this brand's diving gear for like ten years now and I gotta say, it's never let me down. The regulator is solid and has kept me safe underwater more times than I can count. And their customer service? A+! I needed a new battery for my computer and they took care of it super fast. All in all, I have absolutely no complaints about my purchase.
Dive watches
The dive watches I bought were seriously amazing - they totally went above and beyond what I expected. I was so psyched about how well-made and tough these watches are. They're super cool and actually work great for all my underwater exploring. I'd definitely suggest them to any diver who needs a solid watch.
Gallileo computer purchase from authorized retailer
So I picked up this Gallileo computer from an authorized retailer in Hong Kong. But when I tried to turn it on, the wrist strap just broke into a bunch of pieces. I mean, it seriously fell apart right in my hand! I was really bummed out because I had heard that the Gallileo was supposed to be super reliable. Turns out, they don't even manufacture it in Switzerland anymore, now it's being made in Indonesia. Like, come on, that's a red flag right there. Quality control can get iffy when things are made in different places, especially if it's something important like a dive computer.
Nova Scotia Semi Dry Suit
I just bought the Nova Scotia Semi Dry Suit, and man, it's been a disaster. The neck seal ripped the first time I put it on, and when I tried to get help from customer service, they blamed me. Not only did it tear too easily, but the seams started falling apart after only a year and a half. The leaks were huge, letting water in and out so much that I couldn't stay warm. It's really disappointing to see such lousy quality in a product from your brand.
Bad Customer Service
SCUBAPRO's customer service in Turkey is horrendous. I tried asking for some advice and got stuck with a guy who seemed clueless. And don't even get me started on Emre, the big shot at SCUBAPRO in Turkey - he straight up ignored me. When I took my complaint further up the ladder, they actually made me feel bad about it. And to top it all off, they still haven't resolved the issue!
Black Mantis computer purchase
I am so bummed about the Black Mantis computer I bought for about 400 euros. It was working great until a tiny 10 cent battery support messed everything up. Now, it's impossible to fix. I'm super frustrated and let down by the lack of care put into the repair. I definitely won't be suggesting this product or service to anyone moving forward.
Uwatec Galileo dive computer
I've been using Uwatec dive computers for almost 1000 dives, but I recently had a bad experience with the SmartTRAK software. It doesn't work with my new Windows 10 PC, so I can't transfer or analyze my dive data. I tried contacting Uwatec and my local dive shop for help, but no one has gotten back to me. It seems like customer service isn't a priority for Uwatec anymore, so I'm moving on. Next time I need a dive computer, I'll be going with Suunto instead.
Shorty wetsuit purchase
I just got a 3mm shorty wetsuit from this website and I'm really happy with it. It came super quick and the size is perfect. The quality is top-of-the-line and I'm excited to try it out on my next dive trip. SCUBAPRO really nails it with their diving gear. I totally recommend their stuff if you want dependable and long-lasting equipment.
Recreational diving gear
This equipment is just a joke - gimmicky and way overpriced. Trying to service the regulators is a total nightmare, and the parent company's support is seriously lacking. My advice? Save your cash and find some better gear elsewhere. This so-called "technical diving" equipment is a total joke - no true diver would bother with it. Do your research and don't get roped in by those slick sales pitches at the dive shop.
Dive watch purchase
The dive watch I got from this company was a total letdown. It crapped out on me real quick, even though I babied it. I definitely wouldn't suggest getting anything from them in the future.
Favorite scuba gear
I absolutely love my scuba gear! It's seriously the best because it's made really well, has a super cool design, and it's a breeze to get fixed if anything goes wrong. Plus, tons of dive shops in Canada and the USA carry this gear, so it's pretty easy to find.
