My experience with the agent Jesús Ruiz
I had a really great experience with Jesús Ruiz as my agent. He was super helpful and understanding the whole time we were looking for my new home. Jesús always kept me in the loop and pointed me in the right direction, which I really liked. His professionalism and eye for detail made everything go smoothly and without any stress.
Amazing experience, great communication, calm location
I absolutely loved staying at this apartment! It was just like they said it would be, and Lucia and Jesus, the hosts, were amazing at keeping in touch. They were super quick to respond to any questions or issues I had. I would definitely suggest this spot to anyone looking for a calm and nice place to stay in Barcelona. It's really close to lots of restaurants and not too far from cool spots like the Sagrada Familia.
My rental flat
I moved into my new place last Saturday, but my landlord was nowhere to be found, so I didn't get my contract or invitation to RoomieSpot. I had to stay somewhere else for four nights, which was not fun. But thankfully, this amazing woman named Frederica from customer service at the spot helped me locate a new place. She contacted the agency and landlord, and by Tuesday, I finally got my room. Huge shoutout to Frederica for coming to the rescue!
Rental deposit not refunded
I had a pretty bad experience with this rental platform recently. I moved out of a place and was supposed to get my rental deposit back, but Spotahome didn't give me the full amount. The landlord already refunded their share because they knew the property wasn't as advertised, but Spotahome wouldn't give me my portion. Dealing with Spotahome's lack of transparency and communication was really frustrating, especially because I did everything I was supposed to as a tenant.

This company is totally untrustworthy. I wanted to change the start date of my booking to a month later, but I couldn't do it. And on top of that, they didn't even offer a refund for the change. It's obvious that they care more about money than making customers happy and being flexible.

I was looking for a room to rent in Barcelona as a student for a semester and I stumbled upon this platform after checking out a few other accommodation sites. My experience with this platform has been a total nightmare. The contract I signed had all sorts of unclear language and extra fees that let the landlord charge me for every little thing. The rooms didn't look anything like the photos they had online. It was a total rip-off trying to cancel my payment when I saw I had been tricked. And there was no government oversight to help me out. I would definitely steer clear of this sketchy operation.
