Terminating service
I'm a customer of this company, and I was really surprised by their policy where I had to keep paying for another month of coverage even after canceling my service. That just doesn't seem right to me. Why should customers have to keep shelling out money for a service they're not even using anymore, especially if the reason for canceling was because the coverage was bad? The customer service rep I talked to didn't really give me a good explanation for this policy, and honestly, it left me feeling pretty frustrated and let down. Companies need to be upfront and fair with their customers, but this experience definitely missed the mark on that.
Scamming bill payments
US Cellular is the worst! They totally fooled me with their prices, so now I'm shelling out way more than I should be for my phone and internet. Every month they sneak in extra charges, and it's a complete rip-off. I'm totally over them and on the hunt for a new carrier pronto.
Undercover boss TV show
I recently watched an episode of Undercover Boss and I was really touched by the CEO's humility and dedication to really getting to know his employees' roles. It was so cool to see him rolling up his sleeves and diving into all the different parts of the company. You could tell he genuinely values and respects every single employee, no matter where they are on the totem pole. It was a heartwarming and eye-opening episode that made me realize how important it is for leaders to be hands-on and involved at every level of the organization.
First payment issue
The cell service here is so spotty, it's a joke. I was all hyped up to try it out, but man, what a disaster. I handed over my first $100 payment, but it disappeared into thin air and didn't show up in my account. I tried to reach out to customer service, but they were totally useless and super rude. They not only couldn't fix the problem, but they had the nerve to threaten to cut off my service because of THEIR mistake! How is that even fair to us customers? I've had way better luck with other providers like TextNow, where I paid just a buck for premium service or even used their free basic plan. U.S. Cellular has me feeling so annoyed and ripped off. I definitely wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
Home Internet Purchase
I have this home internet setup, and it really stinks! Whenever I attempt to watch a movie on my day off, it's like the internet chooses that exact moment to go on hiatus. I followed the troubleshooting steps they recommended, but it was completely ineffective. I'm telling you, this is the absolute worst internet service I've ever experienced!
New phone purchase
I recently got a new phone and had a bunch of problems with getting my service set up right. The person at the store messed up and somehow put my Mom's old address on my account instead of my new one. So, the bill got sent to the wrong place even though I gave them my new address and showed them my updated driver's license. I've been trying to get in touch with customer service to fix it, but I can't seem to reach a manager. The person I finally talked to said the boss already said no to giving me back the money they charged by mistake. This whole thing has been super disappointing, especially since I used to get great service from my old provider before they merged.
Cell phone purchase experience
My last time buying a cell phone was a total letdown. I got hit with extra charges and my bill was all over the place. On top of that, using my phone abroad cost me way too much money and the whole situation made me feel irritated with how unclear the company's rules are. I wouldn't suggest this service to anybody - better off finding something else.
Ripped off on overseas plan
So, like, 7 months ago, I was getting ready for this really cool trip overseas, you know? And I went to the store to get my plan upgraded so I could use my phone outside the US. But, they ended up charging me an extra $100 PER MONTH! And I barely even used my phone - just a few texts and calls at the beginning. After that, nothing! I was stuck on wi-fi the whole time. Then, when I got back, they said I used up all my data. Like, how is that possible? I was on wi-fi the whole time, come on! What a total rip off, man! I've been with them for years, but it's time to move on to a new company!
International plan experience
Our experience with the international plan was pretty terrible. We thought it would be useful to have it while we were in Europe so we could use data and stay in touch with each other. But it didn't work out well at all. Most of the time, we couldn't even get online unless we were connected to Wi-Fi. And to make things worse, we got hit with a bill that was way more than we thought because they said we used too much data. Even though we paid for a plan that was supposed to cover us, we never got a heads up that we were running low on data until we got back home. It just felt like a total waste of money and left us feeling really frustrated and ripped off.
Home internet and customer service
Man, I gotta tell you about my experience with this internet and customer service. It was just awful, ugh. The home internet is so unreliable and dealing with customer service is like a total nightmare. I regret ever signing up for this service, but now I'm stuck with it for two whole years. If you're considering trying out this service, just don't. Seriously, take my advice.
Cell phone plan
I've been with this mobile carrier for over ten years now, but lately I've been really let down by their service. My phone's GPS keeps messing up and showing me in a whole other state, which makes using navigation apps a nightmare. When I tried reaching out to customer service for help, they not only didn't help but were also pretty rude, basically telling me to take my business elsewhere if I wasn't happy. After staying loyal for 15 years, that response was really disappointing. So, I've decided to part ways with them and look into other options. It's sad to see a company I used to trust so much slip in terms of service and quality.
Experience with prior cell phone carrier
My husband and I used to have cell phone service with a carrier back in 2021, but we had to end it because of a bunch of billing problems that we had to fight about. So, we switched to a different carrier and we paid what we thought was the rest of what we owed, thinking everything was all set. But then, out of nowhere, 2 years later, we got a notice from a collection agency saying we still owed money to our old carrier, without them having told us anything about it before. It was a total surprise and it stressed us out big time trying to sort out something we thought was already taken care of years ago. When we tried to talk to both the collection agency and our old carrier, they were both confused and didn't want to take responsibility for what happened. Going back and forth like that left us feeling really down, since it could mess up our credit score and maybe even make us need to get a lawyer involved to fix the mess. It's just really upsetting and scary to see a company we trusted with all our personal and money stuff drop the ball like that.
New phone order
I bought 7 brand new iPhones for our company and it was a total disaster. They sent the wrong phones, messed up the address, and I had to deal with broken phones and terrible customer service! They couldn't even activate a phone correctly. This whole situation has been a complete mess and a huge waste of my time and my employees' time. I am extremely unhappy with the entire experience.
New phone purchase
I just got this new phone and man, the service is just terrible! I spent a bunch of money on it and it's not even working right. And they won't even unlock it for me so I can upgrade. I'm telling you, Boost Mobile would be better than this! They can't even speak English correctly, it's like they're not even from around here. I'd rather have a Walmart phone service than deal with this garbage. It's a complete waste of money, so don't bother. Steer clear of these money-hungry folks who can barely speak Chinese.
Switched carriers
The customer service at the store in Pearisburg, Virginia was just awful. The manager was so rude and not helpful at all when I told them how upset I was about my bill going up so much after switching over. It was obvious they weren't trained properly and I ended up feeling like I had no choice but to stick with a company I wish I never changed to. It was honestly the worst experience I've ever had with a phone carrier.
Hidden Charges
The cell phone folks at US Cellular are really getting on my nerves with all these extra charges, and the home internet service is just not cutting it. I keep getting hit with unexpected fees on my bill, and I'm so done with it all. I'm thinking about canceling both my phone and internet services. Can I just cancel and not have to pay that $500 they're trying to charge me for? I could really use some advice on this. Please help me out soon! You can reach me at fantadesissa@gmail.com.
New phone and internet plan
I just got a new phone and internet plan from this provider and man, I am so disappointed in the service I've been getting. The sales reps straight up lied to me about what I was getting and how much it would cost. They even tried to charge me way too much for internet that didn't even work right. And when I asked to talk to a manager about all this, I never heard back from them. Honestly, dealing with this provider has felt like a total scam, especially after being a loyal customer.
Everyday Basic plan switch
I just switched my prepaid plan at the store to the Everyday Basic plan because they told me it would work in Canada for my trip. But surprise, surprise, when I got to Canada it didn't work like they said. So, I had to call customer service and pay an extra $10 before the plan actually worked. It left me pretty frustrated and kind of feeling like I got played by the store associate who promised it would work. It seems like there's some shady stuff going on with their advertising and that's just not cool as a customer.
Switching to a new carrier
I just switched to a new phone company because my old one was giving me too many issues with their service and customer support. When I first signed up, they said I could make calls over wifi wherever there was wifi, which was important for my job. But it turns out that wasn't true, so I had to find a different option. After looking into it, I found a carrier with better coverage and support that would work better for me.
Transitioned customer
I've been a customer of this company for a while, but when I moved to a new area, the service wasn't as good as before. So, I decided to change providers, but the customer service was even worse elsewhere. I ended up going back to the original company, but sadly, the service was still not great. It took talking to a bunch of different people before finally finding someone who was able to help me. It seems like there should be better training and communication within the company.
