Our experience with The Tour Guy was amazing. Even though we were running a bit late because of some GPS issues, our guide was super helpful in getting us to the meeting spot and making sure we didn't miss anything important. We've been to the Roman Forum before on our own, but this time with a guide was next level. We were really impressed by how much our guide knew and how well he explained everything. It made the whole tour so much more interesting and educational. He was great at answering our questions and making sure we got the most out of our time there. Overall, it was a fantastic tour that really made us appreciate the history of the Roman Forum.
Quick Tour
The tour guide was amazing, they knew absolutely everything! The only downside was having to eat our packed lunch on the sidewalk since all the restaurants were packed. It would have been nice to sit down after walking so much.
Colosseum and Palatine Hill tour
The tour of the Colosseum and Palatine Hill was amazing. Our guide, Luigi, really knew his stuff and made the whole thing so memorable. He told us tons of cool facts and stories that made me feel like I was right there in ancient Rome. The tour lasted 3 hours, which was perfect because we got to see everything without feeling like we were on a crazy tight schedule. Luigi's love for the topic was clear and it rubbed off on all of us. If you're in the area, I definitely suggest checking out this tour.
Tower of London Tour
We went on the Tower of London tour, and let me tell you, it was a major bummer! We got there early, but the lady leading the tour wasn't even holding up a sign like she was supposed to. Because of that, we ended up missing the boat and had to wait for the next one. Then we had to stand in line forever and didn't even get to go inside the buildings to check out The Crown Jewels up close. Honestly, it was pretty disappointing, and we definitely didn't feel like we got our money's worth.
Medical emergency cancellation
I had a really bad experience with this company. My husband had a medical emergency, so we had to cancel our tour in Rome. Even after we explained everything, they wouldn't give us our money back. I get having a cancellation policy, but not being able to make exceptions for a medical emergency just seems cold. It really upset me and I won't be using this company again.
Disappointing Tour Experience
I just had this tour booked with this company, and man, it was a total disaster. I forked out the cash for the trip way ahead of time, only to show up and find out they had no record of my reservation. The tour guide didn't even seem bothered or try to help sort things out, which left me feeling totally stuck and let down. Even though they eventually gave me my money back for the tour, the hassle and frustration of having my trip ruined was way worse than the refund. I'd seriously advise against booking with this company - the chance of having a crappy time like mine just ain't worth it.
Ticket for a guided visit to a museum
I just bought tickets for a tour of a popular museum through this service. But when we got to the museum, our guide was nowhere to be found. We tried calling the number they gave us, but it was actually for their office in another country. The person who picked up couldn't help us at all, and we were stuck without a guide. When we reached out to the company for help, they said it was our fault and wouldn't give us a refund or any other options. It was really disappointing to get such terrible customer service, especially after shelling out a lot of money for the tickets. They showed zero empathy and didn't even try to make things right. All in all, a super unprofessional and unsatisfying experience.
Crypts Tour in Rome
Tour Guys must have overbooked our tour but then LIED to us and said the tour was no longer available and cancelled us. We had 4 others from our same group that booked separately and got their tour at the same time and place. Shame on this dishonesty. I have emails from them confirming all of this. I can see by the other reviews that they tend to cancel - maybe from overbooking like the airlines. Wasting peoples precious vacation time.
florence tour
Booked my trip nearly 6 Months ago. Once in a lifetime trip touring Italy visiting cities and sightseeing.
in Florence everything was good until this trip. We woke up at 5.30am and was at the meeting spot for 6.30am only to be told the local tour company (Ciao Florence) had no record of our trip.
We spent the next hour on the phone to Ciao Florence and The Tour Guide only to be told the same thing.
It took 7 hours to get through to the tour guy by phone and they still have not answered any emails.Florence / Pisa - TourGuy is a SCAM.
TourGuy cancelled my tour due to our ship arriving at a different port, even though our group made it to the correct port 30 minutes later. 1800 gone and no sign of a refund from them.
Full Day tour of Windsir Castle, Stonehendge and Bath
I purchased this tour for 2 ppl. I had my printed vouchers and even received the email conformation the day before. We arrived at the pick up site on time and we told by the tour guide that we were not on her list. Apparently the Tour Guy subs the tour out to Andersen Tours. Her bus was full so she made us get off of her bus and left us standing at the curb. She said I would have to take it up with The Tour Guy. I have been trying for 2 days now to speak to someone with no luck. It was devastating to not see these sites and we will probably never be able to go back to the UK. Terrible company. Only really interested in collecting your money

Private Day tour of Paris
We used Carolina Orozco for private day tour if Paris one day and the next day Palace of Versaille. Caroline was excellent! Friendly, patient, helpful and extremely knowledgable. A lovely person to spend time with and we recommend her highly. She made our two day visit to Paris a dream!
2 and a half hour tour in the Metropolitan art museum in New York
I didn't read other tours reviews before purchasing this tour. I read the reviews for the MET and they all said good things about the MET tour. Our guide Phil was great. He contacted me in advance where to meet and what to prepare. He even gave us advice where to get off subway and how to get there which was very useful because we wanted to take public transportation. He was on time to meet us and had extensive knowledge of the museum and their art. All of the art he showed us was something we would have missed if we went there by ourselves. We enjoyed the museum very much because of his guide and going to the MET was one of our highlights for our New York trip. It was first time for many of us. My daughter who is not so fond of museums even said that this was her favorite place in the trip.
Paris in a Day Tour with Louvre Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame
Booked for a family of 8 on Paris-in-a-day tour. Received a text 2 days out notifying that the Eiffel tower tour component is no longer available as it cannot match the timing on the tour. Why list all these go to attractions in a day when the times cannot be matched?
The tour listing entices you to book on this full packaged tour, describing to take you to all these attraction in single day only to later disappoint leaving out the "skip the line Eiffel tour" main attraction. They replied by asking us to go directly to the website and book for the Eiffel tower ourselves. Was busy season so all tickets the Eiffel tower was booked out. No support whatsoever. Travelled all the way from Australia to miss out on the main attraction on our 3 night stay in Paris is unacceptable.
Rubbing salt further into the would, they issued a the measly partial refund is US$136 for the whole group where their Eiffel tower tour listed on their website starts from $US50/adult.
If you are looking for an unprofessional tour company to 1. spoil your family holiday; 2. conduct in a misleading and deceptive manner; rip you off; and 3. rip you off; you have certainly come to the right place.I had a similar experience in London with Windsor Castle and Stonehenge Bath full day tour. I had the vouchers and even received the confirmation email the night before. We arrived at the pickup site only to find that we were not the list. We were let on the bus but then asked to leave as the bus was full. They made us get off the bus and left us standing at the curb in the middle of London. Last day of our trip so we missed Windsor Castle and Stonehenge and Bath. We traveled from the states and probably will never be able to return to GB. Devastating.

Please use caution and be sure you will be allowed to leave before booking with this company. Matter of fact, I wouldn't give them a dime until I absolutely KNEW I was going to go. I booked tours for my husband and I with The Tour Guy and I received every refund back with the exception of this company. The wording of their website assured us of a refund and when I emailed them I was told they were processing it, then everything changed. We paid months in advance and I am now out close to $500. Meanwhile they send me emails to join them virtually to make food or see the Coliseum virtually. Not what I signed up for. They had wonderful reviews, but Covid has been hard on all of us. I can't just write this off and I don't know at this point if I will ever get the chance to go back. They are happy to take your cash, but they don't like responding to you.....buyer beware.

2 Tours in Rome
"Does not Honor their word" Back in March our tours were cancelled due to Covid-19. We didn't cancel them, they did. We have it in writing that they would be giving us a "Full Cash Refund" due to this. Then we received an email later after I asked where our refund was that they would only give us a credit. As another customer has mentioned be very leery about using them as they have no intention of following through on their original word. STAY AWAY.
