I have to say, my experience on the Vatican tour was kind of disappointing. The guide was nice and knew a lot, but it felt like we spent more time looking at pictures of what we were supposed to see instead of actually seeing it ourselves. It was frustrating because we didn't have much time to check out St. Peter's Basilica, which was supposed to be a big part of the tour. On top of that, as we were walking around the Vatican, the guide started talking faster and quieter, making it hard to understand her. It was tough to fully appreciate the history and culture behind the places we were seeing.
Harry Potter Tour
I consider myself a huge Harry Potter fan, so I've been on quite a few Harry Potter tours, including one in Edinburgh a couple of years ago. But I have to admit, this tour was definitely the best one I've ever been on. The guide was amazing and really made the Harry Potter magic come alive. He sorted us into different houses and had us do walking trivia games. He also shared cool facts about J.K. Rowling's characters and made sure the walk was easy, all while keeping us safe when crossing busy streets.
Vatican Tour with The Tour Guy
I had a great time with The Tour Guy on the Vatican tour. I booked it for a Wednesday and I ended up not being able to see the Basilica, which was a bummer. But the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel were amazing. Our guide, Marina, was super knowledgeable and kept us interested with detailed explanations about the rooms, art, and their religious and cultural meanings. She threw in some cool facts that really enhanced the whole thing. I would definitely suggest this tour, especially if you want to avoid waiting in those long lines.
Day with the Guide
I had such an awesome day with Giada! She was super knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. Giada made sure we stayed active so we didn't get bored or feel rushed. She's really clever and speaks English fluently. I really enjoyed spending the entire day with her!
Purchased tour of Windsor Castle
Our experience with The Tour Guy was absolutely terrible. We had booked a tour of Windsor Castle for the last day of our vacation in London. I made sure to bring all of my vouchers and received a confirmation email the day before the tour. When we arrived at the designated meeting point, we boarded the van only to find out that The Tour Guy had overbooked the tour. The tour guide reviewed her list and unfortunately, our names were not on it. Despite having all the necessary documentation, we were asked to leave the van and were left stranded on some street corner in London while the rest of the group went on to Windsor Castle. We tried calling their offices, but no one answered, and we ended up missing out on the tour we had been looking forward to. It was a disappointing and frustrating experience, to say the least.
Quick Paris tour purchase
I made the mistake of booking a last-minute tour of Paris with this company because I was impressed by some videos on YouTube. It turned out to be a disaster. Our guide showed up sick and with no mask, which was not cool considering our health and safety. She was also very disorganized, didn't charge the speaker batteries, and couldn't even answer simple questions. And to top it all off, she ditched us in the middle of the tour, leaving us feeling very disappointed. I suggest avoiding this company if you don't want to waste your time and money.
Tour booking
I booked a tour and was really excited about it, but then they cancelled it. I was so disappointed because I was really looking forward to it. To top it off, they only give refunds in the form of credit vouchers or gift cards. No cash refunds, what a let down! It feels like once you book a tour, you're locked in, even if they cancel it. So essentially, you're out of luck when it comes to getting your money back, which is just terrible.
Guided tour of the Roman Forum
Our experience with The Tour Guy was amazing. Even though we were running a bit late because of some GPS issues, our guide was super helpful in getting us to the meeting spot and making sure we didn't miss anything important. We've been to the Roman Forum before on our own, but this time with a guide was next level. We were really impressed by how much our guide knew and how well he explained everything. It made the whole tour so much more interesting and educational. He was great at answering our questions and making sure we got the most out of our time there. Overall, it was a fantastic tour that really made us appreciate the history of the Roman Forum.
Quick Tour
The tour guide was amazing, they knew absolutely everything! The only downside was having to eat our packed lunch on the sidewalk since all the restaurants were packed. It would have been nice to sit down after walking so much.
Colosseum and Palatine Hill tour
The tour of the Colosseum and Palatine Hill was amazing. Our guide, Luigi, really knew his stuff and made the whole thing so memorable. He told us tons of cool facts and stories that made me feel like I was right there in ancient Rome. The tour lasted 3 hours, which was perfect because we got to see everything without feeling like we were on a crazy tight schedule. Luigi's love for the topic was clear and it rubbed off on all of us. If you're in the area, I definitely suggest checking out this tour.
Tower of London Tour
We went on the Tower of London tour, and let me tell you, it was a major bummer! We got there early, but the lady leading the tour wasn't even holding up a sign like she was supposed to. Because of that, we ended up missing the boat and had to wait for the next one. Then we had to stand in line forever and didn't even get to go inside the buildings to check out The Crown Jewels up close. Honestly, it was pretty disappointing, and we definitely didn't feel like we got our money's worth.
Medical emergency cancellation
I had a really bad experience with this company. My husband had a medical emergency, so we had to cancel our tour in Rome. Even after we explained everything, they wouldn't give us our money back. I get having a cancellation policy, but not being able to make exceptions for a medical emergency just seems cold. It really upset me and I won't be using this company again.
Disappointing Tour Experience
I just had this tour booked with this company, and man, it was a total disaster. I forked out the cash for the trip way ahead of time, only to show up and find out they had no record of my reservation. The tour guide didn't even seem bothered or try to help sort things out, which left me feeling totally stuck and let down. Even though they eventually gave me my money back for the tour, the hassle and frustration of having my trip ruined was way worse than the refund. I'd seriously advise against booking with this company - the chance of having a crappy time like mine just ain't worth it.
Ticket for a guided visit to a museum
I just bought tickets for a tour of a popular museum through this service. But when we got to the museum, our guide was nowhere to be found. We tried calling the number they gave us, but it was actually for their office in another country. The person who picked up couldn't help us at all, and we were stuck without a guide. When we reached out to the company for help, they said it was our fault and wouldn't give us a refund or any other options. It was really disappointing to get such terrible customer service, especially after shelling out a lot of money for the tickets. They showed zero empathy and didn't even try to make things right. All in all, a super unprofessional and unsatisfying experience.
Crypts Tour in Rome
Tour Guys must have overbooked our tour but then LIED to us and said the tour was no longer available and cancelled us. We had 4 others from our same group that booked separately and got their tour at the same time and place. Shame on this dishonesty. I have emails from them confirming all of this. I can see by the other reviews that they tend to cancel - maybe from overbooking like the airlines. Wasting peoples precious vacation time.
florence tour
Booked my trip nearly 6 Months ago. Once in a lifetime trip touring Italy visiting cities and sightseeing.
in Florence everything was good until this trip. We woke up at 5.30am and was at the meeting spot for 6.30am only to be told the local tour company (Ciao Florence) had no record of our trip.
We spent the next hour on the phone to Ciao Florence and The Tour Guide only to be told the same thing.
It took 7 hours to get through to the tour guy by phone and they still have not answered any emails.Florence / Pisa - TourGuy is a SCAM.
TourGuy cancelled my tour due to our ship arriving at a different port, even though our group made it to the correct port 30 minutes later. 1800 gone and no sign of a refund from them.
Full Day tour of Windsir Castle, Stonehendge and Bath
I purchased this tour for 2 ppl. I had my printed vouchers and even received the email conformation the day before. We arrived at the pick up site on time and we told by the tour guide that we were not on her list. Apparently the Tour Guy subs the tour out to Andersen Tours. Her bus was full so she made us get off of her bus and left us standing at the curb. She said I would have to take it up with The Tour Guy. I have been trying for 2 days now to speak to someone with no luck. It was devastating to not see these sites and we will probably never be able to go back to the UK. Terrible company. Only really interested in collecting your money

Private Day tour of Paris
We used Carolina Orozco for private day tour if Paris one day and the next day Palace of Versaille. Caroline was excellent! Friendly, patient, helpful and extremely knowledgable. A lovely person to spend time with and we recommend her highly. She made our two day visit to Paris a dream!
2 and a half hour tour in the Metropolitan art museum in New York
I didn't read other tours reviews before purchasing this tour. I read the reviews for the MET and they all said good things about the MET tour. Our guide Phil was great. He contacted me in advance where to meet and what to prepare. He even gave us advice where to get off subway and how to get there which was very useful because we wanted to take public transportation. He was on time to meet us and had extensive knowledge of the museum and their art. All of the art he showed us was something we would have missed if we went there by ourselves. We enjoyed the museum very much because of his guide and going to the MET was one of our highlights for our New York trip. It was first time for many of us. My daughter who is not so fond of museums even said that this was her favorite place in the trip.
