    Dead battery, quick fix

    I needed this blower and trimmer because my back won't take hauling gas cans anymore, so I went electric. Battery died right after the warranty ended and suddenly three tools were useless. I called customer service twice; first time they were basically useless, made me feel like it was my problem. I kept pushing, got escalated, and they offered a discounted replacement and shipped it quickly. Still think the cost is high and timing sucks, but the delivery and final support actually saved it for me.

    Mid-mow realization

    quiet, nimble, battery felt strong. That’s the spot I remember being actually satisfied. Then at month four it wouldn’t start; local dealer said a safety switch in the handle. They had it two weeks, came back same fault. Now I’m back-and-forth with manufacturer and YouTube shows others with same issue. Feels like cheap plastic parts and slow warranty support.     I was already packing the outfit back into the box when I saw the first email saying they hadn't received the return. The set was too small and had a cheap material smell, I tried it on in the living room, folded it into the original packaging and posted it the same day with tracking.     Got the trick to make it behave

I bought this deck-equipped EGO for quick weekly cuts on our small-ish lawn, but the rear drive sometimes wouldn't disengage and tight turns were a pain. After calling service and waiting months (they said it’s how it’s built), I started experimenting. If I cut the drive a foot or two before the turn it usually lets go, and if not, a quick lift of the front and a little wiggle to the right-left gets it free. Not elegant, but it made mowing predictable again and I could finish without two people or cursing. I’m honestly relieved — a bit annoyed at the design, sure — but now it’s part of my routine and the yard looks good. If you’re buying, know there’s a workaround that actually works most of the time.

    Battery trouble, sort of resolved but not fixed

    I’ve collected a handful of their tools and batteries since late 2022. One battery turned out to be dud and another started losing capacity sooner than expected. They did replace one battery after I pushed, so some good there, but the paperwork thing became a mess. I had submitted receipts (yes, more than once), and still they insisted a string trimmer’s warranty wasn’t valid because they “didn’t have” the receipt. I even sat through three long calls across a few days where people said they’d look into it and call back. Spoiler — they didn’t. That was the worst part: the radio silence after promises. In the end I gave up on the older battery and recycled both at the county facility; not ideal. So, are the products useful? Mostly yes, when they work. Is the support reliable? Not in my experience. Mildly disappointed, because the tools themselves do help my back, but the warranty handling left a sour taste.

    Quiet power, with a few caveats

    Overall, I’m pretty happy with most of the EGO stuff. At first I was skeptical because a neighbor had warned me it wasn’t as good as Greenworks, but I saw one running at his place and liked how quiet it was, so I bought a bunch — mower, chainsaw, polesaw, weed whacker, blower, even the fan (that one I regret). The mower is a dream for noise and it actually gets the job done. The chainsaws are surprisingly solid. The blower is powerful and light. The fan? Pretty pointless and eats batteries. The weed whacker head didn’t self-feed properly early on. During the pandemic they couldn’t just send a part, so they sent a whole new tool, and that replacement head gave trouble after a few months too. Annoying, but I learned to jiggle it and it usually works. The real headache was the batteries. A few of them acted up just under warranty — wouldn’t charge or would show full then go red under load. Lucky for me the warranty kicked in so I didn’t completely lose out, but it was a hassle. Still, when everything is working it’s great gear. I use it almost every weekend now. Would I buy again? Yes. But I’d be careful about batteries and skip the fan.

    showed up on the slot they promised, driver was friendly, unpacked it a bit and left me to it. That part relieved me more than you’d expect.
    The trouble started with the app and support. I couldn’t even log in at first — kept getting an error, then found out there’s a new app and the old one didn’t redirect me. When I finally got in there were no tools listed on my account, which felt wild because I had registered a bunch before. I called customer service and it was... a mixed bag. The overseas rep was polite but asked for serial numbers for mower, charger, and batteries — or a receipt — and said they couldn’t do much without them. I get protocols, but felt stuck because a lot of my stuff was shown as missing in their system.
    Despite that, once I pushed a bit and sent photos of receipts, things got sorted out: not instantly, but enough that I wasn’t left hanging. So I’m relieved and honestly happy it worked out in the end. Would I buy again? Maybe, but I’ll keep receipts in three places. Delivery and getting it in my hands saved me a lot of back pain, and the support, while clunky, did eventually help. Small wins.

    Small tear, big hassle

    I saved this dress for a special night. I had doubts before I bought it. I’d seen mixed reviews and the photos looked good but not perfect. I worried about quality and fit. I needed something that wouldn’t fall apart since I have a bad back and can’t deal with last-minute shopping. So I ordered anyway. I thought okay, worst case I return it. Turned out the item arrived and the problem wasn’t subtle. The dress was unworn, tags still on, but the lining had a pull right under the main layer. You can see it from the outside through the fabric. The lace overlay looks fine, which makes it clear this was a production fault, not wear and tear. I didn’t notice until I tried it on the day I wanted to use it. That sucked.
    I emailed customer service and said this is faulty and I was within the six-month statutory window to request a repair or replacement. I even checked with consumer protection and was told the same thing. Their response was slow and defensive. They kept pointing to a three-month warranty that I couldn’t find on their site. They acted as if statutory rights didn’t apply. It became clear they were hoping I’d give up. So I kept writing. I wrote multiple emails. Each one took time. They gave vague answers and offered to ignore the clear defect. That part stressed me out more than the dress itself.
    The ordering itself was fine. The package arrived when expected and the item matched the listing in style. But that doesn’t matter if the quality control is hit or miss. Paying over $40 for something you can’t wear is not great. I appreciate that small sellers on other platforms often respond better and accept returns without the runaround. I’m not thrilled, but I am relieved I documented everything and pushed the case. If you need something reliable for an event, maybe avoid this seller unless you don’t mind fighting for your rights. I wouldn’t recommend relying on them for important purchases.

    My unfortunate experience

    Hey everyone, I'm really upset with this company. They're not being transparent and their customer service is terrible. When I wanted to return my order, they only accepted credit card payments, and I don't have a credit card. I had to get someone else to do it for me. Even though I returned the item on time, I kept getting reminders and late fees. I contacted the company after the first reminder, and they said they had received the return and were processing it. But I still got more reminders. Finally, I got a "final reminder" and couldn't get any help resolving or canceling it. So I paid the fees just to avoid more trouble. I'm done with them. I'm closing my account and won't recommend them to anyone!

    I splurged on this really fancy thing and when I tried to send it back, they made me pay to ship it back! And to top it off, they took the shipping fees out of my refund, can you believe that?!     5 pairs of heels

    I will never purchase from Ego again. I took a chance on them because found their heels cute, and i ordered five pairs. Unfortunately, they weren't very comfortable to walk in (not their fault, I just cant walk in heels). I reached out to EGO before the return window was up because I feared I wouldn't be able to return my shoes within the window as I was out of town visiting family. They let me know that the window was 28 days and they would not be able to extend it.

    Luckily, when I got back I was on the last day of that window so I planned to mail it out. When I went to download the return label the sit said I was out of the window so I followed up with support. No response. Followed up again the next morning. No response. Completely unprofessional. I am going to have my bank investigate and dispute the charges if they do not respond.

    i ordered from them on 9/9/21 & my package arrived on 9/23. one of the most frustrating things was that you can’t track your shoes from the website. it kept saying there was an error. i almost questioned if it was a legit website. the set up is very nice & you would think it wouldn’t have that many issues. their shoes are super cute but i don’t think i would order from them again, jus bc there are no real time updates unless you actually track your package w/ fedex. the shoes fit me tho & are true to size, i got a size 9 in both pairs since 8.5 wasn’t an option and they fit good! i was upset they have NO way to contact besides email— they should have a business number.
