Overpriced and Cheap Shades
The product I got from The Shade Store was a huge disappointment. I spent a lot of money, but the shades I ended up with just looked like cheap rags hanging on my patio door. And to make matters worse, one of them had a problem where it kept rolling up too far and getting stuck behind the roller. I tried reaching out to customer service for help, but even after several tries, it's been 6 months and the issue still isn't fixed. Bianca LaRochell keeps saying she'll fix it, but I'm tired of dealing with her and the company's inability to solve the problem. I even asked for a refund, but that hasn't been addressed either. Overall, I wouldn't recommend The Shade Store because I didn't get the satisfaction they promise on their website.
Blind purchase
So, I got these blinds for my room and they were awesome at first. But then, oh man, one of them broke. I called them up and they said they would come and fix it. Well, they did send someone, but then they lost track of them! Like, how do you lose a person? Anyways, they just decided to make a whole new blind without even telling me. And you know what? It wasn't even the right one! I mean, come on, I even named them so it would be easy for them to know which one goes where. But nope, they still messed it up. So yea, don't rely on their customer service if you need repairs.
Motorized Solar Shades
I recently bought motorized solar shades from this company and I am super happy with my purchase. The shades are exactly what I needed and the whole process was smooth and easy. I worked with Erica at one of their locations and she was amazing. She really knew her stuff, helped me choose the perfect fabric for my windows and decor, and made sure the measurements were spot on. The shades came on time and the installers were punctual, pro, and polite. They even took off their shoes to keep my floors clean during installation. They not only put up the blinds perfectly, but they also set up the remote and ShadeStore App so I can control the shades with my phone. The motorized feature works great and the timer function is a game-changer as it adjusts the shades throughout the day based on the sun's position. Overall, I'm seriously impressed with the product quality and the top-notch service. I have zero complaints.
My purchase was for some blinds and shades
So, I went to get some blinds and shades back in June, right? And now, it's almost a year later and my order still isn't done. What's going on? The blinds are fine, I guess, but they were put up too close to the window. I couldn't even open it until I got them moved. And don't even get me started on the drapes. I got these special tracks for them, and they were all messed up. One was too close to the window, so it wouldn't open, and the other one was the wrong shape. Seriously? Now I'm waiting for the third attempt. It's like they don't even care about doing it right.
Fancy shades for my room
I went out to buy some fancy shades for my room because I wanted to feel royal, but it turned into a bit of a mess. The measurements were off, the communication was as bad as my little brother's spelling test, and the shades I received were totally not what I had in mind. But after reaching out to the higher-ups, they actually fixed everything! Jorge, you're amazing! Even though I wasn't a fan of the fancy mechanism for the shades, the way they handled everything turned me into one happy customer. Now, I'm planning to get more shades for all my other windows and doors. Thanks a bunch, Shade Store, for making me feel like royalty once again!
Custom window treatment purchase
My experience at The Shade Store was really disappointing. I spoke with a representative named Julie about my project, clearly explaining my needs over the phone. Unfortunately, I accidentally sent pictures to the wrong number at first, thinking it was a mobile number. When I realized my mistake, I took the time to resend the pictures via email to make sure they got what they needed. Even though I provided detailed information about my project, they ultimately said they couldn't help me. I asked for just 10 more minutes to discuss further, pointing out that my needs were within their scope of business, but my request was denied. It was frustrating to be treated so dismissively, especially when I could have referred others or come back for more projects. Because of this experience, I won't be using their services or recommending them to anyone.
Solar shades purchase
My experience with the solar shades from The Shade Store has been pretty disappointing. I got these shades back in March 2022 thinking they'd be all good to go thanks to the sun's power. But then, out of nowhere, one of them started beeping because of a weak battery. Apparently, this should've been covered by the warranty, but when they swapped out the solar gizmo, it wasn't juiced up. So now they want me to cough up $200 for them to make it right, and that's just not cool. And on top of all that, the repair dude they sent over mentioned that these solar things still need a charge-up once a year. Seems shady to me that they're not standing by their warranty like they should.
Window treatments purchase
I recently bought some new window treatments for my house, but man, the customer service has been a major letdown. Even though I dropped a good amount of cash, I've had to deal with delays, wrong measurements, and radio silence from the company. The curtains for my bedroom were supposed to be up in December, and here we are still waiting. Nobody bothered to tell me about the delays, so I had to bug them multiple times just to get an update. On top of that, they messed up the order, with the wrong info and measurements. One of the installers even put a hole in the wrong spot on a window! When I finally reached out to customer service, it was like pulling teeth. They were no help, kept blaming others, and didn't really address my issues. They said they'd give me a free installation to make up for the mistakes, but of course, they charged me anyway. I had to spend a ton of time straightening that out. Overall, dealing with this company has been a headache. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
Motorized roller shades
I had ordered these awesome motorized roller shades from this place and they were great in the beginning. But then, one of them suddenly stopped working. I contacted customer service and they said they'd send a new motor. However, I found out it was on backorder only after I followed up with them. Now, I have to call them every day just to schedule an appointment. It's frustrating! I guess I live in a remote area because the technicians rarely come out this way. I have been waiting for so long and my shade is still not fixed. I should have chosen a different company. These shades are fantastic when they work, but be careful if you need repairs.
Motorized shades mix-up
The customer service at this store is just terrible. I bought some motorized shades, but they sent me manual ones instead. When I called to complain, they said they could send me a replacement, but for a higher price. It's crazy that they expect me to pay more for their mistake. I won't be shopping here again. Good customer service is so important in a competitive industry like window shades, and this company is definitely lacking in that area.
Custom motorized shades
So, I really wanted some cool motorized shades for my apartment and decided to splurge a little, you know? I placed the order back in June, but didn't receive them until February! Can you believe that? And on top of that long wait, they were super poorly made. I had to get three replacements because they just kept falling apart. And let me tell you, the customer service was terrible - they totally ignored me! It took forever for them to even give me a refund. Ugh, I'm definitely not going through that again!
Incorrect product received
I got the wrong product and now I gotta see how they're gonna fix it. I made it crystal clear what I needed, but it seemed like my salesperson wasn't paying attention. This mistake is just plain wrong. Hoping they'll make things right.
Overpriced custom curtains
I decided to go all out on these fancy custom curtains, and let me tell you, it was a total disaster. The measurements were all wrong, there was a mix-up with the windows, and the installation was a complete nightmare. So now, I've got these curtain rods up and nothing to hang on them for the holidays. It was just a terrible experience all around.
Motorized Shades
Oh my gosh, let me tell you about the motorized shades I bought from this place three months ago - it was a complete disaster! We dropped over $10,000 on them, and they took forever to install. On top of that, they've had so many issues. Can you believe that four out of six shades still don't even work properly? The customer service is absolutely awful, they never lend a hand when we need it. And to make matters worse, our sales rep even demonstrated to us that the shades don't always function correctly!
Entire home blinds and shades
We shelled out a ton of cash to get blinds and shades for our whole house from this company. Even though we paid up front, we've been stuck with crappy products for almost a year. Every room in our place has been messed up by these faulty installations. And on top of that, our doors, casings, and walls are all messed up now. Dealing with this company has been a total nightmare since day one.
Top/down shade purchase
Customer service is terrible! They never seem to communicate with each other, and it always takes so long to get anything resolved. I purchased my shades back in December, and they have already broken twice! The person who came to replace them ended up just attempting to fix them instead. Such a frustrating situation!
Shoji screen-like shades for a slider and side window
I picked up these really neat shades that remind me of shoji screens for my doors and windows. Unfortunately, the one for my side window was too short, and the slider shade ended up getting all streaky and stained from the sun. I attempted to have them fixed, but the technician had to reschedule, and now I'm just frustrated with the whole situation. The local team is friendly, but honestly, the quality is just mediocre.
Curtains purchase
The lady, Randi, who helped me with the sale was really friendly and useful. However, after I paid, things started going downhill. They kept making excuses and causing delays. For example, they changed my appointment time without letting me know and said the installer was sick when they weren't. It was just lie after lie! Finally, the curtains were installed, but I still didn't see the credit they promised me. Yareidy assured me she would give me a credit, but until now, I haven't gotten it. If I don't receive my credit by Monday, I am going to dispute the entire charge!
Drapery
We walked into the shade store Miami begin of may .
We make an order for 50k and everything was smooth and possible to complete by end of June .
To measure it took 2 weeks for an appointment ,even the HQ review it , Took an other 2 weeks !
Then the delay starting and even wrong deliveries .Wrong measurment and the HQ review later on .
Curtains that was too short or too long and one was torn ,sheers too wide for the windows.
After they come back weeks later ,again there was a wrong measurement.
Even the installers says this is not acceptable .
We called over and over again ,and hear the worth 'i'm so sorry ' countless .
Now end of Aug and still not ready ,even a reaction from HQ stays out .
We really regret to do business with them. Absolute never again and not recommend .Shade blinds with Balances
I did order on March the blinds and the balances after 4 times for the balances to fixed in size and color and until know August the balance is in two different colors. and the price for that was near to 5K
They do not have quality control on their product I do not recommend this copany
