Ticket purchase
I bought some tickets that looked like a good deal at first, but they ended up costing more because of sneaky fees for checking bags. I tried to add my luggage online and over the phone, but ran into some problems. The seats were really uncomfortable, with no space for my legs and they didn't even recline. It was all around a letdown, and I wouldn't suggest it to anyone.
Baggage purchase issue
I recently had a pretty bad experience with an airline when it came to buying an extra bag. I went online and added the bag to my reservation, but when I got to the airport, they wouldn't help me out because of the weather. To make matters worse, they wouldn't give me a refund for the fee I paid.
First class flight experience
I recently had a disappointing first-class flight experience with Avianca. Throughout the six-hour flight, they didn't even offer basic refreshments like water or coffee to first-class passengers, which was surprising. The airplane also had an unpleasant smell due to the food options offered. This is not what I expected from a reputable airline. In contrast, I had a much better experience with another airline on a short flight that provided refreshments and a complimentary snack. Avianca has clearly declined in quality and I will be disputing the charges on my credit card.
Cancelled flight
My flight with Avianca got canceled just 12 days before I was supposed to leave, which really threw me and my family for a loop. They said the flight wasn't available anymore, but I actually saw it still up for grabs on a bunch of different sites. It totally messed up all our plans and now I'm pretty disappointed with the whole thing. I'm definitely going to let other people know about the bad time I had.
Refund issue
I'm really frustrated because I never got my refund for the flight I had to cancel with Avianca. They claim they sent the money to some unknown bank account and now they're not responding to me at all. It's just so irritating!
Flight booking issue
Hey guys, I just wanted to warn you about my recent experience with booking a flight through Avianca. I had scheduled a flight for May 12, but when I got to the airport, I found out they had changed it to the 11th without even letting me know. Dealing with their customer support was a total nightmare - some reps were helpful, but others were just plain rude and unhelpful. They told me they'd call back with a fix, but they never did! I was left stranded and had to pay extra for a hotel and a new flight. I suggest flying LATAM instead for better service and a stress-free trip. Trust me, it's not worth the hassle with Avianca.
Flight booking experience
I can't believe how bad this airline is. I tried booking my flight online and the website is a total mess. They say one thing is included in the "Basic" option, but then surprise surprise, you have to pay extra for your baggage. It's such a rip-off! And the staff? They are so rude and insensitive, it's like they don't even care about having you as a customer. And on top of all of that, I didn't even get the seat I wanted! What's the point of letting you choose your seat if they're not going to honor it? This airline is a complete joke.
Online seat selection issue
I recently had a really frustrating experience with an airline. My partner and I had picked our seats online to make sure we could sit together during our flight. But when we got to the airport to check in, we found out that we had been split up and put in middle seats. I talked to the agent about it, and she told me we would have to pay 80 euros if we wanted to sit together, even though we had already chosen those seats online. I tried to explain that we were a couple going on a 10-hour trip together, but she was pretty heartless about it and said there was nothing she could do, even though the flight wasn't full. It was obvious that a small adjustment on her part could have fixed everything.
Luggage pricing accuracy
The airline's baggage price calculator was a disaster. I punched in how many bags I was checking in, only to see the prices jump way higher than what was originally shown. That's not cool - it just makes the airline seem shady and untrustworthy. And if you wait until the last minute to buy luggage, the prices shoot up like crazy, which just stresses everybody out and hits our wallets hard. When I asked a customer service rep about it, I was shocked to hear that the airline can change luggage prices whenever they feel like it, making the online calculator useless. And then, when I tried to pay for the luggage, the credit card processing page had some annoying glitches that made an already tough situation even more of a pain.
Bag pricing scam during boarding
I recently had a really frustrating experience with an airline. When I was boarding, they charged me a crazy amount for my luggage. I only had my usual two bags, but they surprised me with extra fees for my carry-on bags that they didn't tell me about in advance. It made me feel like I was being ripped off and taken advantage of by the airline. It's just disappointing to see companies using sneaky tricks like this to make money while betraying their customers' trust. I want to warn others to be careful and watch out if they're flying with this airline, so they don't get tricked like I did.
Airline ticket
I just bought a plane ticket from this company and it was a total letdown. The customer service sucked, the prices were way too high, and my ticket was late getting to me. I almost felt like I was getting ripped off the whole time, I wouldn't suggest this company to anybody.
International flight booking with connecting flights
I booked this international flight with connecting flights, and let me tell you, the first part was fine but the second part was a mess. Thanks to some bad weather, we got re-routed to a whole different city, making the journey longer and more annoying. When we finally made it to the connecting airport, there were problems with our tickets and we couldn't get on the next flight to where we needed to go. The airline didn't want to help us buy new tickets at first, which just made everything even more aggravating and stressful. Luckily, after a few hours, another airline came to the rescue and got us to our final destination.
Flight booking to Cancun
My experience with Avianca was terrible. I had booked a flight for my family and me to Cancun, but the day before we were supposed to leave, Avianca canceled our flight. They gave us a new schedule that didn't work for us, and when we asked for a refund, they said no and just gave us a useless UATP card. I've been trying to use this card for over two years, but their website is a disaster and their customer support is so rude and unhelpful. It's unbelievable that they canceled our flight, kept our money, and won't give us a refund.
Flight tickets
I've been noticing a drop in the airline's service lately. Flights have been delayed and the customer service just isn't what it used to be. It looks like the airline might be forgetting about its reputation and making customers happy. I usually fly with this airline in Colombia, where the service is a bit better, but they could definitely do better in their business model.
Lost luggage incident
My recent experience with the airline was really disappointing. When I got to where I was going, my luggage was missing. Even though I told them exactly where it was, they didn't try to get it back. That left me in a tough spot, having to buy clothes and stuff on my own. They're supposed to pay me back for all that, but so far they haven't done anything about it. Every time I ask, they just give me vague answers and keep putting it off. It's been weeks and they still haven't sorted it out.
Recent experiences with customer service
I just had a pretty bad time with their customer service team, and man, it was definitely not cool. The people there didn't seem to talk to each other at all! I kept getting different info and deadlines from whoever I talked to, which just messed things up even more. I tried so many times to fix things but it was clear their team wasn't on the same page, and not talking to each other only made things harder.
Bad airline experience
The airline was so rude, they kept asking me if I was from some random country, even after I showed them my passport. They singled me out for extra checks and then had the nerve to take a picture of my passport and send it on WhatsApp! Can you believe that? I tried reaching out to them for an explanation, but they never got back to me. I felt like a criminal the whole time, it was really scary. I definitely don't want to fly with them ever again!
Delayed flight, missed connection, stuck in Bogota for 24 hours
2. So, my recent experience with this airline was pretty terrible. The flight got delayed because the pilot was feeling sick, which made us miss our next flight and get stuck in Bogota for a whole day. And to top it all off, when we had to grab our duty free stuff and check in again, the gate agent said we had to pay an extra $200 to check our personal item with the duty free stuff. It was just a super frustrating and upsetting situation that really put a damper on our whole trip.
Travel Experience
I recently had two pretty terrible experiences with an airline. The first one was when I was flying from Colombia to Mexico, and the airline made me buy a ticket out of Mexico before I could even board, even though I already had a ticket from LA to Korea. It was just a total waste of money, time, and caused a ton of confusion. The second bad situation was when I was flying from Colombia to Chile, and once again, they were pressuring me to show a ticket out of Chile and a return ticket to Colombia. I'm a New Zealand citizen traveling for a while, so it was really frustrating and stressful to have to deal with that unexpected expense and inconvenience. Overall, both experiences really left me feeling annoyed and unsatisfied with how the airline handles things.
Refund card issues
Unfortunately, dealing with that refund card from the flight I had to miss was a total nightmare. Even with a doctor's note, it was a real challenge to actually use the UATP card. I had to go into the office just to get help, and then when I finally did use it for another flight, dealing with the leftover balance was such a pain. The different answers I got from the office just made the whole thing so frustrating, and in the end, it felt like more trouble than it was worth. It's like those UATP cards are just meant to create problems, not fix them.
