Worth the time — 120-hour TEFL/TESOL done
teaching English is tougher than just collecting certificates — you really need to understand each student’s background and practice patience. Ryan, Ashton and Mark were around to help before and after the course (big thanks). A few rough spots here and there, but overall I’m glad I did it.
Practical but a bit dated
useful course, but it's a bit dated. I did the Xero Accounting & Bookkeeping course recently and my first reaction was that the instructor explained things clearly and at a steady pace. The videos are from 2020/21 though, so some screens and menu paths don't match the current app. Mostly you can click around and find what they mean, which I did, but the batch payments section is now quite different and that tripped me up. I also completed the assignment, only to see a surprise fee of over £100 at submission, so I didn't send it in. You can apparently still get the certificate without that last step. Annoying, but the exercises were still a useful refresher.
A messy but ultimately resolved situation
I’m relieved it got sorted, even if getting there was a headache. I signed up as a course provider in 2020 because the same course was doing great on my other platforms, and I use these sites every day to manage enrollments, answer students, and keep my freelance schedule from spiraling — so I needed it to be reliable. Early on, it was quiet and I didn’t worry, but over the years royalties were laughably small (weirdly small — like £3.75 total) and emails often went into a black hole. I had to chase them to remove the listing, and they even emailed about collaborating despite the fact we already had a contract — that told me their internal comms were off. I pointed out typos in their contract (yes, really), and later discovered they’d sublicensed the course without permission. Not cool. After a bunch of back-and-forth and an awkward demand for a monthly fee to take it down, they finally made it private. A couple students did sign up, so it wasn’t a total loss. So yeah, grateful it ended without more drama, but don’t expect smooth communication or pristine business practices.
Not worth the hassle — mixed ending though

Still, credit where it's due: after some firm back-and-forth and a demand that oddly included a monthly fee to remove the course, they did finally make it private and pull it. So yeah, skeptical the whole time, annoyed most of the time, but mildly relieved at the end that it’s gone. If you need a reliable partner, look elsewhere.
