Glue Gave Out Quickly
A month after warranty the soles started coming apart — glue failed. For the price I was surprised; other brands lasted way longer, so pretty disappointed.
Surprisingly Useful, A Bit Tight
I spotted these at my buddy's worksite, tipped him to try 'em; oddly comfy-looking, but steel toes pinched—well, surprised they kept feet dry though.
Good, but not for keeps
Decent enough but I won't buy these again. Sandals lasted years, boots were comfy and waterproof, yet the stitching came apart after only a few wears — annoying. I've had better longevity elsewhere, so I'll pass next time.
Not built for long shifts
Halfway through my second shift I knew these weren't gonna work. I bought them because my back hurts and I stand on concrete all day. Delivery came quickly, which was nice, but customer service took ages to reply. Shoes felt okay at first, then blisters after an hour.
Close call, not a winner
I won’t order from them again, though it ended up usable. The pic promised a sleek gray but the item arrived a dull yellow and ran about two sizes small. Returns meant I paid shipping and the seller was pushy at first. After a complaint they gave a partial refund, so I’m less angry.
Finally sorted, but messy
Overall it worked out, though it was messy. I tried to return used boots that were listed as free returns. They said there was no order record and stopped answering for a bit. I sent invoice copies. It seemed like a third-party vendor even though it showed on Keen. After a few reminders they replied and processed it. Glad it ended okay.
Surprisingly comfy, with a catch
Liked them overall, surprised they were comfy right away. I wore them about five times for quick errands and standing at my desk. The center stitch leans more on one foot — odd, but not a deal breaker at first. Then the heel sole started to give. Kinda bummed, but glad they fit and felt good while they lasted and I'm thankful I tried them.
Trail find that actually surprised me
First caught my eye on a buddy’s feet at the trailhead, and I was pretty skeptical — mostly about the price. Still bought them and they were comfy right away, broke in fast. Six months later there’s some scuffing and one stitch came loose (annoying), but they keep supporting my hikes and feel solid. Not perfect, but overall I’m glad I picked them up.
Nice fit, but not built to last
They’re super comfy right away — wide, good for long walks — it felt like walking on clouds at first, really, and I actually liked them. Trouble is the sole started coming away after not much use, happened on a few pairs I tried. Shame, because comfort's there. I'd still warn folks to check stitching and returns before buying.

Almost walked away
I almost walked away when the site kept acting weird — kept looping and refreshing, so I thought I’d skip it. I’ve been wearing their boots for years, though, so I kept trying. Chat was confusing at first, and phone wasn’t helpful, but someone actually got back to me later in the week like they said they would. Order finally went through, delivery was quick and the boots fit perfectly. So my doubts? Mostly gone. Not flawless — the ordering experience needs work — but the boots themselves and the follow-up made it worth it. I'm honestly relieved and pretty happy overall.
Not a last-minute solution
I wouldn't trust them if you need a pair on short notice. I've been a Keen fan for about 20 years, but after my last Kovens started falling apart after a year I needed a replacement before a planned hiking trip to break them in. I managed to get one rep on the phone who converted part of the value into online store credit — that helped, at least. The shoes I ordered didn't fit, was told to return and reorder a bigger size. I ordered before 9am ET Thursday and by Friday evening nothing had shipped. I asked for escalation and never heard back. Mildly annoyed and a bit anxious — follow-up was poor.
Sandals that didn't survive the off-season
good traction and comfort at first, but not durable in storage or under light use. Kinda annoyed.
Split seam revelation
first pair lasted forever, second pair too, third was an eBay gamble and didn’t hold up but I blamed the seller. This fourth pair came straight from the brand and started falling apart almost immediately. I sent photos, the receipt, the works; at first I got the usual templated requests, but then a real person took over. They issued a claim number, sent a prepaid return label, and arranged a replacement within a week. Not dramatic, not flashy, just a fast, professional fix — and that was the surprising part that made me feel satisfied. It doesn’t change that I expected more longevity for $165, and I’m still wary, but compared to my bad experiences with companies that ignore you, this was refreshingly solid. I’d buy again, cautiously.
