    Almost didn’t book, glad I did

    a supervisor actually checked the Apple Pay trail, fixed the accidental subscription, and refunded the extra charge. The tickets and hotel vouchers arrived right away — clean, on time, no fuss. So delivery was smooth, and customer service redeemed the whole thing. Wouldn’t say perfect, but overall pretty satisfied and I’d tell that same friend to go for it.

But using their support is like trying to change a voicemail password with a smoke signal. I called, emailed, and got bounced between agents and the airline. WestJet told me only the travel agent could fix it. eDreams kept pointing fingers back at the airline or gave vague promises. It was weird, slow, and oddly bureaucratic, with many holds and repetitive explanations. In the end we paid with nerves rather than money. I’m glad we caught it before the airport, but honestly I won't use them again and I've told friends to skip them too. A frustrating experience, but useful lesson.

    I panicked at first, then they actually sorted it out. A friend had tipped me to try eDreams, so I used them for a WestJet booking (ref 23834010141). One traveler’s last name was missing an “h” — stupid tiny typo, big headache. I called and emailed a bunch of times. The reps kept pushing me to the airline. WestJet told me straight up only the travel agent can change it. So I felt stuck, annoyed, skeptical even. Support seemed offshore and slow, lots of waiting and being bounced around. After a few frustrating days I pushed harder, asked for a supervisor and finally got the name corrected. Was it smooth? No. Was it fixed? Yes. Lesson: double-check names before paying, and be ready to follow up. If you want peace of mind, maybe try someone else, but if you end up here — keep pushing and don’t give up.

    I nearly canceled the whole thing before I even clicked pay. I needed a flexible ticket because of a work move and past mess-ups with bookings made me nervous, plus the BBB accreditation looked good but didn’t calm me much. I went in expecting hiccups and yes, there were hiccups. The modification process took ages — a bunch of calls, notes that didn’t match what I said, and a quoted price that kept creeping up until it was almost double. That was the worst part. I missed a call that came at a bad time (international number, so I didn’t want the bill) and when I finally answered another agent I had trouble understanding. Not their fault exactly, but it made things slower and more frustrating. After a lot of back-and-forth I did get the change made, and in the end they fixed the price closer to what I expected (took persistence, a few emails, and one supervisor who actually understood the situation). So yeah, it was messy, but relieved that the trip was saved and I didn’t lose the money. I’m grateful it worked out — just wish the process was simpler and less nerve-racking. Bottom line: if you don’t need customer support, maybe fine; if you do, be ready to push for it.

    Vanishing ticket, vanishing help

    radio silence for days, despite her repeated messages, and when I finally got through the chat they sent a link to upload receipts...that link didn’t work. Classic dead end. My mum’s been juggling all this while caring for her partner, who’s terminally ill, so the stress felt extra ugly. I hoped my initial doubts were wrong, but they weren’t — they were justified. Small funny note: you’d think a company that sells plane tickets wouldn’t sell imaginary flights, right? Anyway, lesson learned the hard way — we won’t be using them again.

    Phone still ringing in my ear

    There I was, halfway through a coffee and the whole plan derailed — I’d found a fair fare from Bangkok to London with extra baggage and a flexible ticket (because, you know, elderly mom) and Edreams looked like the shortcut. Next morning they call me and a nice woman explains the Norse flight is oversold and offers a reroute through Zurich with a 21-hour layover. We both agree that’s awful, and she says she’ll look at two Emirates options via Dubai. Call drops. I call back and get put through to a man who talked over me like he had the script memorized; he insisted the only choices were a refund or the endless Zurich stop. I pointed out the airline’s site still showed seats in premium — could we downgrade to economy if necessary? No dice. He just said refund, end of story. So now I’m waiting ten days for money to come back, which is annoying because other sites I’ve used usually sort refunds faster (and I’ve had rude agents elsewhere too, but this was a special kind of dismissive). I tried to complain and cancel their heavily advertised Prime thing and kept running into voicemail or hold music — it felt like shouting into the void. I get that mistakes happen and flights oversell, but the delivery of the solution and the customer service are what matters — and here both felt clumsy and cold. Frustrating, a bit funny in hindsight, and definitely not a place I’d trust next time.

    Prime-ish, but with a few potholes

    the sign-up was quick enough, the site looked slick, and I felt a tiny rush like I’d beat the system. The booking flow itself is fine — not brilliant, just functional; the app shows your itinerary, you can compare fares, it all works. It feels like using a cheap, tidy rental car: gets you there, but don’t expect luxury. Where it goes sideways is support and refunds. A day after booking I had to change plans and dealing with customer service turned into a slow, circular thing — repeated emails, canned responses, the classic “we’ll escalate” that never really escalates. It’s annoying and a little funny in a sad way. Pricing is hit-or-miss; sometimes you do save, sometimes the “Prime price” is just… slightly less terrible than the non-Prime price. I checked airlines directly a couple times and still found better deals now and then. So yeah, it’s useful if you need something quick and don’t want to haggle with multiple sites, but don’t expect anyone to rescue you if something goes wrong. Would I renew? Maybe not immediately. It’s not a scam, just a slightly clumsy tool with decent UX and shabby aftercare. Bottom line: convenient enough, frustrating when you need human help.

    everything costs extra, even water. For what the tickets cost, a bottle of water shouldn’t be a surprise charge.     The stroller shuffle and the surprise bag fee

    I’m at Chisinau airport with a baby on my hip, two backpacks, and that nervous kind of travel sweat you only get when you’ve got an 8-month-old and a flight to catch. We’d booked through eDreams for a HiSky flight to Milan (H4 483, Aug 11, 2025) and the confirmation clearly said everyone gets a hand luggage plus a small bag. Simple, right? Not that day. The ground staff — HiSky doesn’t even have their own crew there — decided our third bag wasn’t “allowed” and made me pay 600 MDL (about €30) on the spot. They did let two bags through as a “courtesy,” but only after I pushed back, and honestly, only because I kept pointing out we had an infant. Felt like begging for a seat on a bus.
    I contacted eDreams right away, sent the booking confirmation, airport receipt, photos, everything. And then the weird loop began: emails asking the same things over and over, replies that read like they were spit out by a bot, and zero real engagement. I mean, copy-paste questions and canned answers when I’d already attached proof — that’s maddening. At first I was pretty furious, and yes, I threatened escalation (small claims, EU regs, the whole nine yards), because it felt absurd to be charged for what the ticket said was included.
    Turned out, after a few tense days and one less-than-charming chat, support finally pulled someone in who actually read my attachments and escalated it properly. They apologized — not the robot kind — and said they’d contact HiSky/ground handling to verify and get the fee refunded. They also promised to send written assurance that they’d flag the return flight so I wouldn’t have to relive the stroller shuffle. I’m not popping champagne; I’m cautiously relieved. It could’ve been handled in five minutes and saved everyone the stress, but at least it’s moving toward a fix.
    If you’re booking with third-party sites like this, my tip: screenshots, receipts, insist on written confirmation before you fly. And don’t assume the person on the counter will follow the booking fine print. Be persistent — annoyingly so, if you have to be.

    Hey, I just wanted to tell you about my experience with the customer service at this company. The person I talked to on the phone was super friendly and really helped me out. It was a nice feeling to know I could get the support I needed. They even mentioned that they speak a language similar to mine, but unfortunately couldn't speak my specific language.
