Free account sign up with T-Mobile package
I recently signed up for a free account with T-Mobile, which came with the service. Unfortunately, I had some issues with T-Mobile and had to cancel my account. I returned the equipment Ooma sent me right away. But when I contacted customer service to ask for a return label for the unopened box, they refused. I ended up having to pay almost twenty-five dollars to ship it back. The customer service rep's lack of cooperation and understanding really bothered me. It was disappointing to be treated that way, especially since I hadn't even used the equipment.
Subscription cancellation experience
Canceling my subscription was such a huge pain, honestly. I tried multiple times to cancel it following all the steps, but it just wouldn't go through. Then, to make matters worse, the company ended up charging my credit card without even asking me first - not cool. The whole situation was a nightmare, and I definitely felt like the company was playing some shady games with their billing practices and not keeping things transparent at all.
False promises
Be cautious if you're thinking about buying from them! They make big promises, but all they gave me was a letdown. I fell for their service because of all the cool-sounding features they talked about, but none of them actually did what they said. And when I asked for my money back, they just cited their policy and said no. Stay away from them, for sure!
Easy purchase
Yeah, so everything was good with the service and equipment, no problems there. But when I tried to cancel, it was a total nightmare! All I wanted to do was cancel, but it seemed like they were dragging it out forever. I told them I wasn't interested in any offers, but they weren't listening. I had to threaten a chargeback, which is not cool at all. They need to start listening to their customers!
8+ years usage
I've been using this service for more than 8 years and I gotta say, it's been pretty good. There have been a couple of small issues, like some artifact/static here and there, but it's mostly been reliable. Whenever I've had to call customer service, they've been really helpful. I had to go back to using a landline for work recently, but my experience with the service has been really good overall.
Switched to new phone service
My office switched to a new phone service a few months back. At first, we had a few hiccups, but since then, it's been awesome! The salesperson who got us all set up was super friendly, and the support team has been really helpful and nice whenever we needed assistance. Plus, we're saving a ton of money compared to what we used to pay.
4 phones for over 2 years
I switched because they had a better bundle deal, but I ended up getting charged almost $800 for the phones. They promised to give the money back, but they didn't follow through. It was really dishonest of the company.
Business phone purchase
I had a pretty bad experience buying a business phone from this company. The terms were unclear and I was left feeling frustrated because I didn't really own the product. I bought the phones, but later found out they were basically useless if I stopped using the company's service. It was never mentioned during the buying process that their service was necessary for the phones to work properly, which made me feel like I was tricked. I suggest anyone thinking about getting phones from this company to really look over the terms and conditions before making a decision.
Internet-based phone system
As a small business, we've found that using an internet-based phone system is super helpful for us when we need to take calls from home, especially with everything going on right now. Ooma has been a lifesaver in keeping our business up and running smoothly. We really appreciate how easy and reliable it is. We've even recommended it to other small businesses, especially those in healthcare.
Service cancellation issues
I've had a really tough time trying to cancel my service with this company. No matter how many times I tried, they just couldn't get it done until I had to get my card company involved. It's so frustrating dealing with a company that doesn't listen to their customers when they want to cancel. I did everything they asked, but still, they didn't cancel until I had to get help from someone else.
Office phone service
I recently got office phone service, and I gotta say, I'm really disappointed with how unprofessional and dishonest the company is acting. I've tried to cancel multiple times, but I'm still getting charged unfairly. The online system and chat options for cancellation are useless, and even calling them doesn't work. This kind of behavior is not cool - it's like they're trying to scam people. I have no choice now but to reach out to my bank to sort this mess out.
Phones for our business
We bought 4 phones for our business, but they kept dropping calls so we had to cancel. Dealing with management was a total mess, and now we're stuck with a bunch of phones that we can't even use. They're just sitting around gathering dust in the upstairs storage room.
Long-term customer experience
I've been a customer for a long time, like more than ten years, and I've mostly had good experiences with the product. But now, my device stopped working and I had to get a new one super quick. The problem was, I couldn't install it without reaching out to customer service during the week. So, I was stuck without a phone all weekend, even though I had a new one all set up. It was a real letdown, and now I'm thinking about checking out other companies.
Ooma Office purchase
I recently switched to a new phone provider, thinking it would be better than my current one but it ended up being a big mistake. From the start, I had problems with caller ID not showing my name, wrong prices, and unclear communication when I wanted to cancel. It was a real struggle to get everything fixed, and they still kept charging me for services I already canceled. I'd say, stick with your current provider, don't make the same error I did.
VoIP system purchase
I've been using the VoIP system for a few months now and I gotta say, I've had a great experience so far. From the start of the sales process to the actual service, everything has gone smoothly. The system itself has been dependable and I haven't run into any major issues. And when I did have to contact customer service, it was a breeze and I got the help I needed right away. My colleagues have shared horror stories about their VoIP systems, but I'm happy to report that mine is running smoothly. One feature that has been super helpful for me is the email notifications for each message, which has kept me organized. Overall, I'm really happy with my purchase.
VoIP phone service
I was really bummed about how bad the sound was on the VoIP phone service. They went ahead and signed me up for the fancy version without asking me first, and then started taking money from my card after the trial was over. When I wanted to cancel on the website, they made me call customer service, and it was only open at weird times that didn't work for me.
Small business phone system
We've been using the same phone system for our small business for the past fifteen years, and it's been super helpful. We don't have a ton of money to spend on phones, so this service has been perfect for us. It might not be the best for bigger companies that need a lot of phone lines or fancy call center features, but for us, it works great. The price is right, adding extensions is easy, and we can do cool things like forwarding calls and setting up digital reception. Plus, moving our lines to new offices has been seamless. We've got lots of reasons to stick with this system.
Ported number to another provider
I recently switched my phone service to a different provider and moved my number away from Ooma. Unfortunately, Ooma kept charging me for a service I no longer had. When I contacted customer service about it, they said they have to keep charging until I officially cancel, even though I couldn't use the service anymore. It seemed pretty sneaky to me, like they were trying to make people pay for something they weren't even using. I was really let down by Ooma's response and would advise others to avoid using their services in the future.
Long-term Ooma Office user
I've been using this service for a few years now and overall, it's been pretty good. We've had a few small problems, like some issues with call forwarding, but the customer service team always took care of it right away. The find me/follow me feature has been super important for my business and it's always worked well. I like that I can use the mobile app to make calls and still keep my rotary phone working with the analog adapter. And the pricing is way better than what we used to pay for VoIP.
