Booking a lovely chalet
We found a chalet on this website and everything went really well. The location they described was accurate and the chalet looked exactly like it did in the pictures. It was really clean and neat, and the neighborhood was calm and peaceful. The hosts were super helpful and available whenever we needed them. I would definitely book with them again and suggest the chalet to anyone else searching for a cozy place to stay.
Booking a holiday rental
I really can't believe how bad my experience was with this website. I was trying to book a vacation rental and they ended up taking my money without even letting me finalize the booking! It was seriously the worst experience ever and I definitely won't be using this website again. Please learn from my mistake and steer clear of this scam!
Booking refund issue
I just wanted to share that I had some trouble with getting my refund from Holiday Lettings after booking accommodation. I've been trying to reach out to them about my refund of £448.50, but haven't heard back yet. It's frustrating that I can't call them directly since there's no contact number available. Their policy says I should've gotten my money back within 24 hours, but it's been 12 days now and still no word on what's going on.
Villa Booking in Icmeler, Turkey
I just booked a villa in Icmeler, Turkey through an online site. Sadly, it wasn't what I thought it would be. The place looked nice and tidy in the pictures online, but when I got there, I could tell right away that the photos were old and didn't show what the villa really looked like now.
Booking experience disappointment
My experience with the holiday rental booking website was really disappointing. They made me think I was listing my property, but it turned out to be a booking agency agreement. When I finally figured it out, I couldn't cancel or talk to a real person. The lack of human contact and the trouble canceling made me not trust the platform. I definitely wouldn't suggest using it to book holiday rentals.
Stay booking experience
I booked a place for my vacation and boy, did I end up with a headache. So, get this - the host, Karmil Q and Infinite Lux & Comfort Group, LLC, wouldn't give me the address until the actual day I was set to arrive. Talk about frustrating! I just wanted to know where I was going, you know?
Rental cancellation due to COVID-19
I had rented an apartment in Spain for a long time, but because of COVID-19, I had to cancel it. The apartment owner and the Holiday Lettings agent were really understanding and helpful. The owner quickly agreed to refund my deposit, and the agent quickly processed a refund for the booking fee. I was pleasantly surprised by how fast they handled everything, and I'll definitely be using this company again.
Unfavorable cancellation and refund policy
I made a holiday rental booking not too long ago, and I was pretty disappointed with their cancellation and refund policies. Basically, you gotta fork over all your cash upfront if you want to cancel without losing your deposit. And on top of that, they still hit you with a booking fee if you do get a refund. It's like they're trying to wring every last penny out of you, whether you actually end up staying there or not. In my opinion, I wouldn't recommend this holiday rental service to anyone because of their lack of help and unfair policies when it comes to cancelling.
Booking for unavailable property
My experience booking a property through this service was so frustrating. I reserved and paid a lot of money, just to find out later that the property wasn't even available for the dates I needed. They didn't even bother to keep me informed, and then they wouldn't even give me a refund. I'm so disappointed and feel like they totally tricked me. The whole thing was a total nightmare, and I wouldn't suggest this service to anyone.
Scam apartment booking
I recently booked an apartment in Spain using this company. I got a confirmation with a booking number, but then I received a fake email from the supposed owner. When I reached out to the owner, they denied having their property listed on the site and said it was already booked. The company just pointed fingers at the owner and didn't offer any solutions to the problem. After making several calls and sending emails, I finally had to push for a refund.
Vacation rental booking
I rented a vacation house in Ashland, Oregon from a website that's connected to TripAdvisor. I was really looking forward to it because it was near the theaters, but turns out the owner hadn't been around since 2019! I reached out to customer service, and even though they tried to help us find another place, it was just getting farther and farther away. In the end, I found a different spot on a different website instead.
Travel
I had a terrible experience with HolidayLettings recently. I made a reservation for one of their homes listed on their site months in advance, only to become a victim of fraud. Just a month before our travel date, the supposed "owner" contacted me and asked for money through Zelle payment, which raised suspicions. I immediately reached out to the HolidayLettings fraud department, who investigated and confirmed that the listing was fake. This left our group without accommodation for a trip that was just around the corner. Unfortunately, the area we were visiting was in high demand, and prices had skyrocketed since our original booking. Despite the inconvenience caused, HolidayLettings offered no compensation to offset the price difference and seemed to make little effort in finding a suitable alternative accommodation that was similar to our original choice. This experience has made me realize that TripAdvisor and its affiliated companies do very little to vet and verify the listings on their site. The lack of oversight allows criminals to take advantage of unsuspecting customers, and it appears that HolidayLettings is unconcerned about this issue. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend seeking other travel booking services that are more trustworthy and reputable when planning future trips in order to avoid similar situations. I cannot recommend HolidayLettings services, given the lack of accountability and oversight I encountered.
Home rental in Pensacola, Florida
I rented a house in Pensacola, Florida using this platform and they wanted me to send a $200 deposit through Zelle. The booking got canceled, and now the person I was talking to isn't replying to me at all. If I have to, I'll go ahead and file a police report.
stay at a vacation rental
My family and I rented this vacation place and man, it was nothing like the pictures at all! It was pretty nasty, honestly, so we had to dip because it was just not working out. They claimed our money was secure, but then we tried to get it back and they were all, "Nope, sorry, you were there for a night so no money back for you." Ugh, we definitely would have picked somewhere else if we had known this was gonna happen!
Disappointing experience
Don't use this service! They care more about making money than helping out upset customers. Even after showing evidence, they support the property owner and keep renting out sketchy properties to people who don't know any better and have no way to fix things when they go south.
Apartment booking in France
After we reserved an apartment in France that was a good deal, we were bummed out to find out that our dates got cancelled because of a mix-up with another booking. It was kinda annoying, but the folks at Holiday Lettings customer service worked things out and let us know what was going on right away. We were glad they were on top of it and understood where we were coming from. But we were a tad worried about it happening again, so we decided to find another place to stay for next time.
Luxury villa rental
I recently booked a luxury villa rental through this service, and let me tell you, it was a total disaster. I called to double-check if a villa in Spain was open, they said yes, I paid £3750, then got an email less than an hour later saying it was actually booked. It took 10 days to get my money back, which was not okay. Their customer service was so unhelpful, we couldn't even find another villa because they had our money. They tried to offer an 11-bedroom villa for £16,500 instead, which was ridiculous. I won't be using this service again, they have no clue which properties are actually free. Stay away if you don't want to waste your time and money.
Booking nightmare
My experience with this company was a total nightmare. I had everything all set up - flights, car rental, the works - for a booking that was fully paid and confirmed. And then out of the blue, the owner decided to take the property off the rental market. I was left in the lurch trying to find somewhere else to stay at the eleventh hour. And to top it off, Holiday Lettings was no help at all when it came to getting my money back. I had to jump through hoops at the bank to finally see a refund. Dealing with this company has been a total disaster.
Misleading description of property
The Paris apartment we booked ended up being a complete nightmare. The bathroom wasn't anything like what was promised, and it made our whole stay super uncomfortable and disappointing. It was obvious that the platform didn't do a good job checking out this place before putting it up for rent. Our vacation with our daughters was totally ruined by all this, and we won't be using this service ever again.
Booking system frustration
I've been using this rental site for a while now, but I'm really annoyed with their booking system. I called them a few times and found out that I can only list my place for weekly rentals with limited check-in days. It's crazy that I can't have guests stay a full week and leave on a Saturday. It's a big hassle for both me as a property owner and for the guests.

Confusing Pricing
Just a heads up, the currency you see on the website might not be in your local currency, especially if you use dollars. The pricing options are only in USD, Euro, GBP, and CHF ... Read onBy: Parisian
