Canceled holiday booking
I recently had a terrible experience with an online travel booking company. I booked a holiday, but had to cancel it on the same day for various reasons. Unfortunately, the company is not refunding my money, which is over $5,000. Even though I chose the free cancellation option, all I've been getting are generic email responses. I'm thinking I might have to take legal action and maybe even try a charge back on my credit card. Looking back, I wish I had checked out the company's reviews before booking, as the negative ones turned out to be true. It's so important to research a company's reputation before making big financial decisions.
Hotel booking experience
As someone who just booked a hotel online, I gotta say, it wasn't great. I found the platform on a travel website I usually use and was pretty excited about the good deals they were showing. But then, things went downhill when I got hit with an extra fee after booking. I made sure to read all the details and terms, but I still got surprised by that sneaky charge.
Reservation issue
I recently had a pretty disappointing experience with a reservation I made. I had asked for a booking with free cancellation, but then when I got the confirmation email, it said the reservation was non-refundable. When I tried to point out the mistake, they just gave me a link to make a new reservation and cancel the first one. So I followed their instructions, but I never got refunded the deposit for the first reservation. And then when I canceled the second reservation, I still didn't get a refund for that deposit either. Long story short, I ended up losing out on $150 because of their mistake and didn't get the refund like they promised within 3-5 working days. I really don't recommend using their service after this whole mess.
Room booking
I just booked a room using this site, and I was so frustrated with how they didn't make it clear about all the taxes and fees. They only showed the base price per room, which made it confusing when it came time to pay. The total charged to my credit card ended up being a lot more than what I thought it would be based on the initial price.
Accommodation booking
I can't believe the nerve of this company! I booked a place to stay, got an email and a phone call confirming everything was set. Then, five days later, I called the hotel to make extra plans and found out they had no record of my reservation. The company told me they couldn't promise my reservation was confirmed! It's been over a week and I'm still waiting for a refund for something I never got to enjoy. This is just a scam!
Electronic product
I was really let down by this company. I bought an electronic product and it wasn't what I expected, so I asked for a refund. But it's been over 16 days now and I still haven't heard anything back or gotten my money back. It's just not right and I'm shocked at how bad their customer service is. And it's frustrating that TripAdvisor would recommend a company like this.
Hotel booking issue
I reserved a hotel with this company for my trip to Spain, but when I got there, they didn't have my reservation. I got in touch with them and they explained that I was chosen for extra security checks and they sent an email (which I found in my Spam folder). When they tried to book me again, the hotel was all filled up. They said I could get a refund, but that didn't really help because then I had to find another place to stay at my own cost. It's been more than 10 business days now, and I'm still waiting for the refund to go through, even though their responses to my emails have been pretty vague.
First-time transaction

My experience booking a hotel through this service was pretty good. The website gave me all the info I needed about the hotel and rates, which made it easy to choose. I just asked to switch from a regular room to a standard room for my stay on August 24th. Customer service got back to me fast, but couldn't make the change right away. They told me they've passed on my request to the hotel for review, so now I'm just waiting to hear back.
Reservation mix-up, refund delay
I recently booked 5 rooms for 10 people in February, but in May, I found out only 3 rooms were confirmed. They then asked me to move the other 2 rooms 20 kilometers away, and later all 5 rooms as well. Adding to the frustration, the refund for the canceled rooms still hasn't been processed after 15 days, even though they were paid for back in February. Customer service has been unhelpful and keeps repeating the same unhelpful responses. I would recommend avoiding this site completely because they are not following through on their promises of refunds. I am still waiting for the supervisor call they promised, as well as my refund.
Delayed reservation confirmation
I've been waiting for my reservation confirmation for 20 whole days now, and it's just not okay! I've got my trip coming up soon, and I really need to lock in my hotel booking right away. The lack of communication and the delay in confirming my reservation is really stressing me out and making me feel unsure. Reservation mishap
I was really surprised and kind of upset when I found out just a few days before my trip that my reservation at a four-star hotel got mixed up with a two-star hotel that had a similar name. It was a huge letdown and totally not cool, especially since I was really looking forward to my trip. But that wasn’t my experience - I canceled on the same day as booking and had to bug their customer service team constantly to actually get my refund. Flagged as scam website
As a customer of Prestigia, I was bummed out when I found out that my bank, National Australia Bank, thought my purchase was from a scam website. Even though I saw Prestigia's side of the story, I couldn't give the green light for my purchase. It's hard to feel at ease turning off all credit card safeguards just to book something, you know?
Room booking
Booking a room was easy and fast, but I was kind of bummed out about the lack of details on what I was actually getting with the booking. It would've been nice to know more about the room and any extras before I confirmed everything. Like, I had no clue what the "breakfast bonus" was all about - was it a full breakfast, just some pastries, or what? Having that info ahead of time would've definitely helped me choose wisely.
