Accidentally chosen activity cancellation
I messed up and picked the wrong thing to do, so I had to cancel it. I had to dig around the internet for a customer service number. Finally got through, but the robot helper was no help at all and just wasted my time. The first person I talked to said I'd get my money back for canceling. But then the next person I spoke to said there was no record of that and I gotta wait until May 21st for an answer. It's really frustrating and disappointing how they can't get their story straight or keep me in the loop.
Hotel reservation assistance
I've been using this online travel agency for a while now, and I've always had good experiences. Travelocity consistently comes through with great deals and refunds when needed. But on my recent trip to Mammoth Cave, things went south when the hotel I booked through them suddenly canceled my reservation without telling me. I arrived at the OYO hotel only to find out they didn't have a room for me, leaving me stuck and annoyed. So, I reached out to Travelocity's customer service for help, and I was impressed by how they handled the situation. They quickly found me a better hotel nearby at the same cost as my original booking. I was pleasantly surprised by their efficiency and professionalism. I appreciate their fast response and how they resolved the problem.
Flight booking issues
I recently booked a flight through an online travel agency and it was a disaster. The confirmation email had the wrong flight time, I got double booked somehow, and my first class seats I picked during booking weren't assigned. When I reached out to customer service, they didn't offer a clear fix and just kept blaming the airline. It took several calls and hours of frustration, but eventually the issues were sorted out. However, my fiancé and I still won't be sitting together on our honeymoon flight. The whole thing was a mess and I wish I had just booked directly with the airline. Do yourself a favor and skip the agency next time.
Boston trip canceled
My family was really upset when we had to cancel our trip to Boston. We had everything booked online with insurance, but then my Brother in Law had a stroke and passed away. Unfortunately, the Travel Insurance we bought didn't cover this, and the Global Luxury Suites in Boston didn't acknowledge our cancellation online. As if that wasn't enough, my husband's credit card got hacked, probably because the hotel needed a color copy of it when we made the reservation. Dealing with all this has been a total nightmare.
Booking nightmare
Booking with Travelocity was a complete disaster. My flight got changed by 7 hours and they wouldn't even try to help me out. I had to get AMEX involved just to get my money back. It was a total fail.
Round trip flight from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam to San Diego, California
It's a bummer that things changed for us and we can't go back to Vietnam because our permit expired. We gave them plenty of heads up and even had trip insurance, but we can't cancel our return trip. It's pretty frustrating that the company isn't more flexible or understanding, especially when unexpected stuff happens. They really should have more chill policies to handle last-minute changes in travel plans.
Hotel stay experience
During my recent stay at the hotel, we had some issues at check-in with our room. However, when we talked to a manager named John about our concerns, he really went out of his way to fix everything and make sure the rest of our stay was great. The Margaritaville Island Hotel totally exceeded my expectations and gave us an amazing experience. They have a little bit of everything - good food, entertainment, and lots of things to do for fun - making it the perfect place for a chill vacation. I would definitely recommend the Margaritaville Island Hotel to anyone who wants to relax and have a great time. It's a must-visit for families looking to make some awesome memories.
Flight Booking
I can only give one star because they don't let you go any lower. I was told I'd get my money back, but ended up only getting half of what I was supposed to. I had to go through five different people just to try to get things sorted out, and the only good interaction I had was with the first guy I talked to. After that, it was a struggle to communicate and get things fixed. The customer service was terrible, and I'm really let down by the whole thing. I won't be coming back to use this service again, that's for sure.
Travel packages
This website is such a scam! They make it seem like you're getting a great deal on their "travel packages," but then they sneak in all these extra fees that they conveniently forget to tell you about at the start. It's honestly much better to just go straight to the vendors because those supposed "travel packages" just end up hitting your wallet harder in the long run. Such a rip off!
False advertising email
I got an email from this company saying they had flights for under $200, but when I went to their website right after, there weren't any flights at that price. I was surprised to see the prices changed so quickly, within just 5 minutes of getting the email. This kind of misleading info isn't cool at all - as a customer, it's frustrating. I felt like Travelocity was just sending out spam emails to reel people in, and their pricing tactics were shady. I won't be using this company again.
Vacation nightmare
What a complete mess our vacation turned out to be. We got left stranded at the airport, had unhelpful staff all around, and the travel company messed up every single part of our trip. They completely ignored their cancellation policy, making us feel totally stuck and irritated. There were so many problems along the way, but let's just say, we won't be using them again.
Travel cancellation policy not honored
We had a flight canceled recently, which made us miss our first night at a hotel we booked through this travel company. Even though we told them about the cancellation and their policy said we would only have to pay for one night, they charged us for the whole stay. Dealing with both the hotel and the travel company to fix this was frustrating, especially since we got conflicting info and ended up being charged more than we were supposed to.
Flight booking experience
My experience with this company really bummed me out. The agents were not helpful at all and seemed pretty shady. So when I tried to get a credit for a flight that got cancelled during the whole Covid mess, it was a major headache. And on top of that, the ticket ended up costing me way more than if I had just booked directly with the airline. Honestly, I wouldn't suggest using this company to book any travel.
Flight booking
I just gotta say, my experience with the travel booking platform was a total nightmare. I bought a flight ticket and had to change it, which led to a credit that I wanted to use for a new booking. But man, using that credit was a real pain. I tried calling multiple times to talk to a real person, but it was like hitting a brick wall. Even with the insurance I had, I still ended up spending way more money and time than I thought I would. The website didn't help at all, making everything just super frustrating and annoying. I definitely won't be using that platform again in the future, that's for sure.
Double booked trip
Oh my goodness, I can't believe I ended up booking the same trip twice by accident! And let me tell you, Travelocity was absolutely no help at all. They didn't even stick to their own rules when it came to charges. What a complete disaster!
Round trip booking for four seniors
Booking a round trip flight for four seniors through this company was a complete nightmare. First off, we had to cancel our departing flight because of a schedule change. But guess what? Travelocity wouldn't cancel our return flight or give us a refund. We lost a ton of money because they just wouldn't budge or help us out at all. It's pretty obvious that they don't care about helping you once they have your money. I suggest anyone thinking about booking with this company to reconsider and just go straight to the airline.
Flight ticket purchase
When you're looking to book flights, I suggest steering clear of those third-party companies. I made the mistake of using one for my last trip and let me tell you, it was nothing but a headache. Dealing with their rules and customer service was downright frustrating. When problems came up, all I got was excuses and they kept sending me to the airline instead of helping me out. Save yourself the trouble and book straight through the airline or use a trusted search engine like Google for all your travel stuff.
Expensive and frustrating booking experience
That was definitely the worst booking experience I've ever had! It was such a hassle trying to talk to an actual person, and the AI system was completely unhelpful. I felt like I was going around in circles with no way out. It's crazy that I had to give every tiny detail about my flight just to get some help. On top of all that, this service was way more expensive than other platforms I've used before. I'm so frustrated and will definitely not be using this service again.
Flight cancellation incident
I recently had a really bad experience with my travel booking that ended up costing me extra money. My flight got canceled because of bad weather, so I was stuck in Miami. I tried to change my car rental pick-up spot from MCO to MIA, or maybe even get a car for the drive from Miami to MCO, but the person I talked to ended up canceling my entire rental booking. They said I wouldn't get charged again, but that just caused me a lot of problems and I had to pay way more to book a new rental car for the week. On top of that, I still got billed for the first rental because it was within 6 hours of when I booked it. I don't travel much, so this whole situation really made me feel let down and annoyed.
Travel booking experience
The company needs to do a better job of clearly showing prices in US dollars, providing refunds for travel insurance when flights get cancelled, and keeping customers informed when airlines cancel flights. In my case, I had to constantly call for updates, rebook flights through the airline, and wait a whole week for a refund. If I had just booked directly with the airline, I could have easily used my credit without having to pay extra. Dealing with this third party was just way too stressful and inconvenient, so I definitely won't be using them again.
