    Extended stay due to obstacles

    I had such a terrible experience at this place, it's hard to put into words. Had to extend my stay twice because of so many problems, and it was a hassle the whole time. The staff was so disorganized that I thought about finding somewhere else to stay. My weekend plans got messed up dealing with payment problems, and the way they treated guests was just bizarre. They didn't clean my room for more than a week, and on top of that, they for some reason took $6 from me each day for charity without even asking because they didn't clean. The prices kept changing, and it felt like they were taking advantage of us with hidden fees. I felt like I was doing all the work to get anything I needed while I was there, and it was really disappointing. I'm so disappointed in their so-called high-tech service and feel bad for the staff having to deal with all these problems all the time.

    CitizenM+ membership

    I've been a member of this hotel group for a while now and decided to upgrade to their paid CitizenM+ membership last year. At first, everything was good because I stayed at their hotels often enough to make the membership worth it. But recently, I haven't been able to log into my account because of some technical problem. Despite paying my subscription and starting my second year, my profile and booking history have vanished, and I can't get any information back. The customer service has been really disappointing—no human touch and long waits for help. When I tried to get assistance, all I got were automated replies, long hold times, and unhelpful interactions. I've reached out to them through email, Twitter, and Facebook multiple times, but my problem is still unresolved after four weeks. Overall, the lack of support and failure to solve my issue has left me feeling frustrated and unhappy with the CitizenM+ membership.

    Luxury hotel room amenities

    I was really disappointed with my recent stay at the hotel. The room didn't have basic amenities like a coffee maker, fridge, and the window wouldn't even open. Plus, the room was controlled by an iPad that kept crashing, leaving us in the dark several times. The TV kept shutting off by itself, and the air conditioning/heating was not reliable. On top of all that, breakfast was way overpriced at 15 pounds, with no option for just getting a few items. The whole experience felt like I was stuck in a tiny room, with noise from other guests being super loud. Needless to say, I won't be going back there.

    My disappointing stay

    I stayed at a hotel recently, and it was a huge disappointment. Check-in was super slow, and the room was way too small. It was dirty, had a bad smell, and the bathroom was lacking in amenities. On top of that, the noise from neighboring rooms was unbearable! I complained to the hotel staff, but they didn't really do anything to make it right. All in all, it was just a bad experience.

    Don't sign up for CitizenM Plus membership! The fine print says you can't cancel for a year, even though the website says differently. When I tried to complain, they made fun of my disability in live chat. Customer service was really out of line. Never staying at a CitizenM hotel again.

    Reservation Cancellation Disappointment

    I was really let down by a hotel I recently stayed at. I made a reservation, gave them my credit card info, but when I got there, I found out they had canceled my booking without telling me. I was super frustrated with their lack of communication and transparency. It not only wasted my time, but also left me scrambling to find a place to stay at the last minute. I thought a reputable hotel chain would do better by their customers.

    My partner and I have been lucky enough to stay at a bunch of hotels in different cities all over the world - places like Glasgow, Copenhagen, New York, and London. And let me tell you, every single stay has been absolutely amazing. The folks who work there are always really nice and welcoming, they make us feel right at home. And the amenities at each place are top-notch, they definitely make our stay even better. We've had some pretty awesome experiences, like hanging out at the rooftop bar in New York and Copenhagen, and taking full advantage of the awesome showers. The staff at all these places always go above and beyond to make sure we're happy and comfortable.

    Stay experience at a hotel

    I stayed at a hotel recently and honestly, it was terrible. The room was tiny and the toilet was oddly in the middle of the room. Plus, the TV only had one Dutch channel and the audio was completely out of sync with the video on all the channels. It was basically a nightmare. I have no idea why anyone would have anything good to say about this place. I highly recommend avoiding this hotel unless you want to be in a bad mood.

    I reserved a room with a nice view, but instead they stuck me in a dull accessible room on the 4th floor. They took all my cash and didn't give me what I forked over for. I reached out to them twice, but got no response.

    Hotel stay at Seattle

    My husband and I recently spent three nights at a hotel in Seattle to ring in the New Year, but it didn't go as planned. The shower in our room flooded because of a design issue, leading to a big mess that we had to take care of. The next day, we got locked out of our room and were surprised to find out we were being charged $500 for the trouble. And when I tried to use the shower again, it flooded once more, so we had to call maintenance. We eventually got moved to a different room, but we were still pretty annoyed by the lack of responsibility for the initial flood.

    Unsubscribe frustration

    I'm just so annoyed by this whole situation with trying to unsubscribe from the newsletter. Why do I have to log in just to unsubscribe? I can't even remember my password and I haven't gotten any emails with a link to reset it. I keep checking my spam folder, but still nothing.

    Uncomfortable small rooms with sink in room

    The rooms at this place are way too tiny and uncomfortable, and it's just plain weird having the sink right in the room. Plus, the iPad stuff doesn't work right - my neighbor messed with my lights! I had a really bad time here and definitely would not tell anyone to stay here.

    Overpriced, underserved

    This place is so strange. The hotel theme is bizarre, and the rooms are super small - like only half the size of a regular hotel room. You have to use a little iPad for everything, and when it stops working, you can't even control your lights or TV. There are no amenities at all. They don't even give you coffee in the room, and there's no microwave. The mini-fridge they provide is tiny, like a milk carton. It feels like a hotel out of a dystopian novel. They expect you to do everything yourself, but you still have to pay and tip them.

    Booking hotel stay, UK flight cancellation

    I was really disappointed when our flight got cancelled and we couldn't stay at the Amstel Amsterdam hotel! But big thanks to the hotel staff for setting us up with rooms next to each other and giving us a refund quickly. The website was simple to navigate and the chat service was really helpful when we needed them. Shoutout to Citizen for being amazing when things didn't go as planned!

    Stay over 2 days membership scam

    I messed up by getting a membership at this place, thinking I'd save some money on my stay. Boy was I wrong! I paid a good chunk of cash for the membership, only to discover that the price magically went up to the normal rate for non-members. I felt totally scammed and ripped off. I won't be staying at this place ever again, that's for sure.

    I called a hotel in Paris to see if they had wheelchair accessible rooms. The guy I talked to, David, was really helpful. He explained everything so well and was so nice about it. I'm definitely booking a room there!

    Membership renewal issue

    Do not sign up for a membership with this company, trust me! They keep changing the benefits without letting you know and it's really hard to cancel. I have been getting charged on my card repeatedly even after they said they canceled my membership. Dealing with customer service is a total nightmare and even their own employees can't fix the problem.

    Overcharged receipt

    I was so mad when I found out that I got charged too much on my receipt. Even though I knew exactly what the local tax was supposed to be, the hotel just added on some extra charge without even telling me why. I've been coming to this place for years, but after this happened, I'm never coming back. It's not right to rip off customers like that, especially when we work hard for our money.
